I lost the second one within 24 hours. I bought full CN issue drakes (invulns, launchers, ballistic controls etc) and lost them in missions representing a colossal loss of time invested. Sure I still lose ships/pods worth a bil or two from time to time but they just don't have the same impact as those first few losses had. I wouldn't register those sums as noteworthy anymore so to honour where I came from and stay attached to my roots I have to keep my stupidity proportionate to my success. For those who wonder "how can he be so stupid as to put 60b in an untanked maelstrom (best courier ship?) and then fly it into hostile space?" the answer is "I'm just that successful". screw the rules. i have money. | ||

Edit: If you're looking for something to do, there is an introductory mission chain called the Sisters of Eve Epic Arc that will introduce you to some of the lore of the game, has some nice early rewards, and gives you a tour of empire space. (Note, the arc is quite long, involves a good deal of travel and will probably take several hours to complete.) Open up your map and head to Arnon IX, Moon 3, Sisters of Eve Bureau, and talk to Sister Alitura to get the mission called "The Blood-Stained Stars." Be warned that, at least in a couple cases, people camp Sisters of Eve Arc mission locations to swoop in and grab the items you need to complete missions, then attempt to ransom them or sell them on the open market. When you attempt those missions, you should be fine if you keep an eye on the container you need to loot or whatever and don't dilly dally around. By the end, you should (if I remember correctly) receive a destroyer and the skills necessary to fly it, which will be helpful in completing the chain. Be a little bit careful -- particularly in a frigate with low skills it is possible to lose your ship on a bunch of those missions, though it's not extremely difficult. As for what to do, its up to you, I can give suggestions based on what you want to do with the game, but im not going to tell you how you should play eve. | ||

I don't necessarily regret it, but I could have been in some capable combat ships by now if I simply didn't 5 every nav skill already..... -_- | ||
