I'd argue that Rifters are better only in certain circumstances (e.g. when you are being neuted but still are a needed DPS force on the field or when speed is absolutely the most important stat). Rifters are slightly faster and don't need cap for their guns. They don't have the EHP or raw DPS potential of their merlin bros, and they can't fit a shield tank (shield tanks allow for the greatest possible speed and maneuverability) with the tackling trifecta (web, scram, MWD). If you need to pick one pick the merlin, hands down. | ||
