Yeah think about it this way, you'll be earlier in the rotation for the next game, and there's gonna be more choices to make etc since it'll be a younger civ.

TBH rambo, go for it. I'm super busy as it is now, and danjoh already gave me the next game. It would be a big help to me if you went.

Well, the 30 years plan of the glorious Chinese Empire was to put a man on the moon (of a star other than our current favorite). However, when the brilliant and fearless leader of the Great and Glorious Empire of the carved Jade Dragon with the Talons of Power detects an opportunity for Great Justice he takes it. Its late, I probably shouldn't have stayed up to finish this game, but damnit, it was my time! So full report to follow, but long story short UN votes are for sale. I knew I was saving that cash for something!

Dude you won from a UN election when ANOTHER nation build the UN?! that's... that's super awesome. I honestly thought that another nation UNing us was like, the biggest threat by a long shot, but winning via UN is hilarious and surprising. I knew all that TP spam was good for something!

Trolling Gandhi FTW! Can't wait for next game =D Quick suggestion for the next one though: Turn Off Attack Animations. If we end up having to fight any sort of serious end game war, attack animations will drive you insane and want to bust out the idra offensive gg.

I thought this was a local setting, in your options menu, rather than a save-file setting? Also if you're in a big rush you can go into 2-d mode (strategic view? I think?) and do everything there really quickly.

It is a local setting. You have to go into your customsettings.ini file and manually change it for yourself.

Always play big wars in strategic view anyway, no animations there 
You can also cancel an animation by switching back and forth from strategic wiev fast. Handy if you don't want to see some useless barbarian trireme bombard some AI's fortifying unit for 150 turns in a row.

Hey guys, I apologize for not responding, but I have a tendency to be a little more aggressive then I should be in discussion and got myself temp banned for a week. I still haven't figured out why it won't let me play... I'm going to be uninstalling and reinstalling then repatching here soon, but just skip me for the time being, but I've been following the write ups.

After writing, we sold open borders to all friendly civs (2) and sold silver to Gandhi for 30g and 8gpt. A bargain.

For tech, since we don't have a calendar luxury immediately ready to hook up, I went AH--->Trapping--->Philosophy.

So to sum up, a solid opening. NC is 3 turns from finishing. Found 3 civs, and 3 cultural CSs. Because of her close proximity, I signed a Declaration of Friendship with our gal Lizzy.

I beat immortal via dipolmatic victory.... its easy, makes sure the enemies are killing eachother, meanwhile dump money in city states... then research that thing for diplomatic victory asap...
win!
Diety is just impossible without finding an AI fault.
