There is probably a large influx of people being featured recently, and they are tightening the noose so to speak on the ways and the method of which they give people the "Featured" Perk (too much FPS.) Not long ago there weren't really that many people that were featured, there was pretty much 3-4 options that you got throughout the day, but if you look at prime-time, there is probably about 10-12 people that are "Featured" that are streaming, this would really filter out the amount of people watching which makes being "Featured" less and less special. It would never be a good idea to actually take someone down from being featured, because there would probably be a giant backlash from some of the cult-like followers of some of the streamers (Not saying that as a bad thing, just more of what some stream viewers act like.) So what they are probably doing is; instead of giving anyone who is amazing at SC2 auto-featured status, they probably monitor it, and decide to feature them through a process. Whilst also finding ways to keep the amount of Featured people down from a number that they would believe to be too high. I really like watching TSLHeart Stream, he is a great Terran player that constantly practices, and looks for mistakes in his play, which makes him a good player to try and model yourself after, however I am not too tiffed that he isn't Featured yet, for the simple reason that I am able to actually watch his stream. I feel it is like finding a piece of "Underground Music." where you find a little golden nugget, something that not many people have found, and is something that you can appreciate more BECAUSE you find yourself to be one of the few that actually took the extra step to find that nugget. I do agree to a point, that TSLHeart might be able to get more money (You don't become insanely rich streaming, it's more of something you do as a hobby (UNLESS YOUR AN EXCEPTION, Destiny is probably the main exception...)) if he became featured, however, for the time being, I feel good that it seems like I'm going somewhat against the grain, and watching one of the non-featured streams for a change. TLDR; The Mods probably have a good reason to not feature him right away.

Just pitching it out there; but it could be that they don't want to thin out the privilege of actually being "Featured". The amount of things that give you the ability to be featured or stand out more is becoming more and more common, You can be somewhat to a version of featured if you decide to stream a tournament in play, or do some of the events that are taking place, like "Dota 2 Beta", "Diablo III" and the like of what was going on for the past couple of weeks. Also iirc megumixbear got defeatured and a lot of her fans were pretty upset at the mods (One I think called Weapon of Choice to ask Chill about it).

TLDR; The Mods probably have a good reason to not feature him right away. It's fine for you to go against the grain and watch a less popular streamer and feel good about it, but think of Heart himself. I'm sure he'd love to have at least a few hundred viewers watching his stream instead of the 30 odd that was watching him earlier. Infact it might turn him off from streaming for us altogether if no one is going to watch except a select few dedicated fans. Whilst he was streaming today, he tuned into SlayerSDragon's stream and would've noted that there were 2500 people watching him, would've had to hurt a little bit! I watch loads of terran streamers, and I honestly can't think of a more skilled terran streamer at the moment, he is the best terran player who is streaming, so I don't see why he wouldn't eventually be featured. I agree that there's no rush, and in time, he hopefully will be featured, just hope it's not too late and he's stopped streaming due to poor viewer count.

Another thing to note about this issue would be transparency. While we are all subjects of TL (they are allowing us to use their site and have 100% of the decision making power as they should), TL has directly and indirectly become a representative of the foreign community. I personally find it disturbing that an extremely high-level progamer would be simply ignored should an issue such as this arise. Not only does that send a clear message (Hint: not a good one), but it is also very disrespectful. Obviously TL does not HAVE to feature TSLHeart, however I would hope they could at least send him a message detailing the reason(s) why and what he might do to appease the requirements such as community involvement, post count, rank, whatever. As a person with great respect for TL, I hope that Korean Progamers continue to have a positive view of TL and that this incident does not dissuade them from streaming on this site. Their streams benefit everyone from casual viewers to high level masters looking for small details and refinement. To TSL.Heart: On behalf of the members of TL I would like to personally apologize how you've been treated during your time here. Being ignored is something not even a newbie deserves and certainly is not a message the foreign community wants to send to Korean Pros who are nice enough to stream their games. Keep streaming and don't let this dissuade you! TSL.Heart fighting! **It's very possible TL has already gotten a hold of TSL.Heart and clarified the situation or perhaps detailed what they'd like to make this relationship symbiotic. It seems like this has not been the case given the current situation in the thread... if someone could update when we know he is no longer just being ignored that would be good. As of now I just feel embarrassed as a foreigner he's being treated like this.

Original Message From Plexa 10/12/11 02:28: Our policy for korean stream is they must satisfy one of the following requirements: - Code A - Significant playtime in GSTL - Popular stream At the moment heart satisfies none of these requirements so unfortunately I cannot feature him. So basically he is not known enough in the foreign community to be featured I guess? EDIT: Added date tag.

EDIT: Added date tag. So if you're korean, you need to be in code A, if your're not korean, you just need to be popular to be featured? No offence here but there're so much flaws in that policy. WHY THE F*** IS SLAYERS_DRAGON FEATURED? Hearts is prob 10x better than slayers_dragon and people can learn alot more from him rather than from dragon. Edit: Don't get me wrong, i love dragon's stream, it's just that TL need to be more consistent with their policy

But Heart deserves around 50x more viewers than he currently receives, so I feel bad for him. At any rate, I'll be sure to continue tuning in myself. As I look right now, Zilea has twice as many viewers as Heart, which is just.... shameful, to say the least.

![]() I don't know who should I be more disappointed, in the community who is not watching one of the most skilled streamers up to date, or TL who gives priority to popularity contests rather than actual skill. This si really frustrating.

This si really frustrating. I guess we get to say we were original viewers in the future? ha But yeah I don't understand how top KR GM on one of the best Korean teams doesn't meet their requirements. Then you look at some of the featured streamers and its like "WTF!?".
