hello guys, thanks a lot to all the people who helped me over in the tech forum, i finally have my new computer built and ready to go ( it works better than i had hoped).
I will now be streaming Grandmaster Zerg (approx 900 points) ladder games, practice games with clanmates, Lessons with students, and occasionally T/P when im on tilt and want to get some cheap wins =).
i plan on streaming a lot, im currently looking for a job but until then ill likely be streaming for the better part of the day.
I feel like i play a style similar to idra, macroing hard but safe through efficient scouting, i do rage sometimes (not enough to prematurely leave a game), and dont quite have his godlike mechanics.
While i'm not quite pro, some people have recognized me from Mr.Bitters coaching sessions with LiquidRet, MTWDimaga and FXOqxc. i feel like i put up a good fight and with mostly ladder to thank for that i feel like i'd be fun to watch.
my streams will be similar but hopefully i can interact with my viewers, and obviously it will be live=)
My ZvP is struggling atm so im also looking for people to throw suggestions at me, i dont care how crazy your idea is ill give it a shot as long as it has some sort of potential to do damage.
and my stream (don't know if i am supposed to list this) is located here www.justin.tv/lagttjecho
so come watch, talk, get to know me, and we can have some fun along the way.
By the way, anytime between now and a few years..if you have a few minutes of time to 1v1 me I really would like to. I want to see how far away I am from a grandmaster and how much I need to work to even get anything close to a grandmaster.
Great stream, really fun to watch and your interaction with the chat is great. Did you try 14 pool, 16 hatch vs protoss yet? Would be awesome if you could upload a 1.33 reppack if you find the time for it.
This stream is awesome. Great quality, high level play with great commentary/insight. I don't even play zerg and I find myself watching this stream over featured ones. Should definitely be featured.

Why?
- High Quality - Funny commentary - Explains his decisions - Listens to viewer comments
<3<3<3
thanks alot=) im really trying my best to be entertaining, having people to kind of play along with you, and to reflect on games with makes things a ton more fun
JEcho fighting! Always great to watch you play. Fantastic player and good to listen to! I love casters that actually interact/respond to the viewers. It makes the whole thing 1000 times better.
Hey dude, just started watching your stream - great material and I do like the fact that you're giving out free lessons to get more viewers - awesome business thinking right there! ;>
really nice stream man - i tune in almost every day during work hours and a big + for commentating and interacting with viewers whilst playing ^_______^

It happens. You lose so many points when you lose and like only gain a little when you win D:. Keep working on it, we are all supporting you on your stream .

No shame in losing to Select man I was watching it on the stream while at work and it was truly a very close game!
This guy is great I love how he coaches people and informs people on his stream about his thoughts on timings/techniques/etc. He is getting a portion of the community better at sc2 bit by bit . Thanks bud and much appreciation for the effort your bringing towards the sc2 community.
I see you like teamspeak a lot, and I know that many people like interacting with the streamer, so mabye you could make a teamspeak server for your stream? That way, people with mikes or at least speakers could open up and talk to your during your laddering. You'd have to instate good moderators to regulate trolls though
^^ I agree with snow, but don't servers cost money? Or at least make a room in your clan teamspeak server for viewers or something. I don't know, it's not a needed or wouldn't matter if you didn't but a very good idea. ^-^
Great great great stream, and thanks for going on Swarm School with Egghead! You have influenced my play a LOT, and having you on there giving tips along with Egghead helped very much.
Although I didn't talk much or didn't have anything to say, the Swarm School helped out greatly with me knowing what my main problems are and how to solve them.
I hope to face you and actually stand a small chance against you someday (lol yeah right but I can try).
Going back online right now to do a lesson, also going to give out a free lesson(s), based on how much time i have available, tune in to be eligble. justin.tv/lagttjecho
I encourage any player interested in getting better to come watch Jecho's stream. He interacts with the viewers and he provides lessons for all levels and all races. His coaching is really helpful and after just a couple games you can notice his students improvement. It's a great stream to watch when you have a craving for sc2 awesomeness.
hey guys going back online, thinking of doing some kind of giveaway, maybe an sc2 acct for more viewers, but i for now if i get over 100viewers ill do the free lesson thing
Just learned some cool stuff about the Icefisher build and also some ZvZ stuff (multi-pronged attacks, hitting the main with a drop and both expos with lings and roaches ... very impressive)
Great stream, does live coaching, comments on his play and why he does what he does, and often does in depth analysis of his replays. Should definitely watch if you are looking to improve your zerg.
Watched the stream for the first time tonight. This guy needs more views, a top 10 GM player who commentates and analyses throughout every game. A lot of fun to watch and very interesting to listen to. Hope he gets featured soon, I think he would be a great addition to the lineup.
Hahaha I'm your #1 fan, when you get all famous and get invited to korea, don't forget your oldest amigo!!
But in all seriousness, please continue to talk and explain your thought process in game. You're playstyle is cool and calm, and by just listening to viewers, you are slowly garnering an immense crowd of followers. Do what you will with your well-deserved stalke- I mean followers.
actual commentary ...(JEcho talking to Blizzard) " You made this game too hard, I suck at it." Blizzard: "We can't return that game, we don't have the micro....plus you don't have the receipt." haha....the best !
If your a Zerg player looking to learn more about the game and improve this stream is probably one of the best ways to spend your precious stream-watching time. Great analysis, friendly atmosphere, and truly one of the hidden gems of team liquid lying below the "non-featured" button.
Hope it keeps on growing, because the guy definitely deserves more viewers.
This stream has to be featured. Talks through all of his games and answers questions in chat. He's also insanely good. Every decision he makes he explains. Can't watch any other streams now except this one because the style of it is just so sick.
This guy is one of the best streamers in my opinion. Not only does he play very well, he can also commentate while he's playing StarCraft2 which is, according to me, a very big asset. I just love watching his stream :D.
He also coached me and I have to say .. he's a very patient teacher .
Thanks for the love guys, Unfortunately MLG Anaheim passes have sold out =( if any1 knows any1 that is selling their PLEASE let me know, thanks in advance.
Needs to be featured. This guy's stream is the whole package, and anything that could help raise his profile would benefit the entire Zerg TL community.
It's kind of random, but you could always follow to get notification ^^
jecho is the man, I really enjoy his stream. He did well against EG.incontrol tonight. Check out the VOD: http://www.justin.tv/lagttjecho/b/290656689 (starts at about 39 min in)
Made an account just to get this guy featured cause he deserves it. I love his stream, its both entertaining and really helpful. Good luck getting featured!
Totally needs to be featured, gives more useful advice than everyone and is fun to watch at the same time. Not to mention, he's a high ranked GM and part of team iS. What more could you want?
On July 12 2011 18:10 azzu wrote: When are the times he is usually streaming? I seem to not ever be on when he streams :/
during the locked ladder period, he didn't stream much. Now he's streaming more. i've seen him start his days streaming 10am or early afternoon, and then in the evening, from what i've seen.
Just wanted to say that jEcho's stream is one of the best I watch. Consistently asks gives advice, good tips and helps out the viewer base. He is entertaining and I look forward to each time he streams.
Definitely a quality stream from a quality player. JEcho's stream definitely deserves to be featured. He's very interactive with the chat and shares a lot of his in-game thought-process during matches.
I hope he finds a job that will still allow him to stream as regularly as he does now, because it's a real treat.
I think that when a mod sees Jo's stream, he will be featured ^^ He averages ~75 viewers, provides self commentary, helpful tips, and great GM gameplay constantly owning up top players.
definately one of my favourite streams. Will always watch it when up. Very helpful commentary and viewer interaction. If JEcho's stream doesn't get featured i dont know what should
Congrats to JEcho for a solid performance at his first LAN event, MLG Raleigh! I'm sure he will show us even more impressive results at the next one Open bracket is a beast, especially with Koreans competing.
Jecho is back to fairly consistent streaming, and it is really awesome. His self commentary really helped me learn, because instead of just knowing the builds, I also know how to alter them.
I prefer watching Jechos stream over any other zerg streamers. The difference from Idras, Destiny or sheths stream is that Jecho actually gives constant details on every move he makes during game. its almost like free coaching. he even goes through replays. come on now, thats a deal!

Thanks all, 8 hr streaming session.... and after feeling like i was doing awful i went like 26-9 so.. pretty good. in any case ZvP is currently my favorite matchup (nestea + idra where would i be without you) ZvZ im working on and ZvT seems to go in and out.

Now if you can get your tournament curse out of the way you can start winning GSL!

Yeah, should be featured, good games in HSC Qualifier tonight, too bad it didn't work out. Should have tries an aggressiv timing or allin in the last game imo, because Kawirice's build was pretty obvious
This guy needs to be a featured streamer.. he's SOO good and his commentary is phenominal. I REALLY appreciate that you started streaming and just want to say Thank You!
I agree. jEcho needs to be featured. First, he is really fucking good. Second, he commentates every game and gives his reasoning behind every decision he makes. I was watching a vod last night, and he basically got from top 50 gm to top 6 gm in like an hour without losing one game. All this time he was also commentating. Since I discovered him, he has now become my favorite streamer and as soon as I can afford it I will be buying coaching from him.
but yeah, just wanted to show my support. This guy is really good and I'm sure he will go far.
iSjEcho is the BEST commentary GM player I've ever watched Stream.. Better than IdrA, Destiny, ViBE, TLO, etc.. As far as stream commentary, and learning ZERG there isn't 1 streamer out there at beats him.. HANDS DOWN!! For the past 18months I've watched all the professionals streams I'd say 18-20 hours week! I've NEVER received as much information from a stream than Echo's!! I'm being honest when I say he's giving away information players PAY FOR from coaching lessons! U want coaching lessons, just watch Echo's stream for FREE and I guarantee you will progress as ZERG.
Loving the stream. Keep up the good work and consistent streaming and I bet you will get featured. Top GM NA player with commentary every game and really good gameplay!
Top 10 NA gm? Consistently over 100 streamers and sometimes has several hundred? Plays top koreans like Losira on KR and crushes everyone on NA? Easy decision, feature gogogo <3
Edit: Commentates every game as well and interacts with fans!
Vouching for Jecho's feature request, he's a really good zerg, #1 commentary, solid play and interacts with the audience. He's been doing very good lately aswell, definitely deserves to be featured.
Really Really good stream for anyone trying to improve their zerg A-game. I've been tuning in for several months and it'S helped me out of platinum and Into to tier diamond. Appreciate everything he does for the community and it would be a crime if his stream Never got featured on TL.
Found this stream last night... this is the first time I can't wait to see someone stream again. Him describing his thought process is priceless. I'm not sure what the requirement for being featured is but the SC2 community would be well served if this individual got more attention. Please feature his stream, his number will sky rocket and we will all be better for it.
after 3 days of demotion and watching jecho and taking notes, i just got repromoted back to masters. this guy is the real deal. thanks for all the help. i am even thinking about taking a lesson to further excel my learning.
You're so amazing, jEcho ! <3 Thank you for commentating while playing, analyzing your replays when you lose and analyzing other people's games from time to time.
jEcho I love your stream! It's the best to watch if you're reading this and haven't checked it out yet go RIGHT NOW!!! gogo jEcho lets get tyou tl featured!
TL staff please consider making this stream featured, the stream is of extremely high quality and a lot of interaction/analysis that his current follower base absolutely love.
Watched his stream earlier today (yesterday?). Fantastic stream; he even did analysis from replays sent by his viewers. Totally needs to be featured. :D
I'd love to see JEcho get featured, his stream is easily my favourite out there! Not only is he a fantastic player (#1 NA GM!) but he commentates literally all the time that he's playing :D
A few months ago a friend of mine told me to watch this dude called JEcho and I wondered why I should bother. The next day I watched his stream for a few hours and it was kind of sad that he had only 20-30 viewers, because what he offered was far above what we can expect from most hyped progamer streams.
Happy for him finally breaking the first barrier after so much work and getting a few hundred viewers concurrent now. Keep up the good work. If there is anyone currently not being featured on TL who would deserve it the most, it is this guy !
Found this stream by random 4 days ago. Been hooked since minute one and watching every time he's streaming! His streamed coaching sessions are really really good for me as a fellow zerg struggling with some of the matchups.
If you read this jEcho, I don't understand why you would drop viewers from analyzing replays, since it's sort of a viewer interaction. But it's your choice ultimately.
