Hoping for a poland win; it's always good for the tournament if the hosts make it out of the groupstages.
Well also since germany will most likely will face the winner of this game in the quarterfinals, and I am not 100% sure we (german players, media and supporters) would take the Czechs as serious oppenents once we made it out of the "group of death". And just from football history, I would also prefer to play against Poland.
So pumped for this match, i have strange feeling i will be terribly irritated after it ends :D. I hope Poland will win, but realisticly i have feeling it will be a draw (or Czech team will score late time goal when Poland will try to pressure too much).

Dont be.. last 6 games vs played vs Czech , we dont lose single game. I think there was 3 win and 3 draw for us. POLSKAAAAAAAAAAA!

Werder Bremen is already very interested. Probably not a "big team" in your consideration, but sure a team that has lots to prove in the next Bundesliga season.
I never was a dedicated fan of our football team, but this time I must say our play was impressive - applying pressure, attacking - it's like watching some other team - I hope our accuracy will improve so that we can win this match!
Fucking Greece might find their way into the quarters. Hope Russia equalises at least. This game is sure to get more open after the score in the other match.
Go Poland! It seems that so far they've had better actions. Although I also hope that Greece advances, since it seems that their country really needs a morale boost right now. Also because Poland has always been rivals with Russia hehe
Czechs desperately needs a better attacker. Baros just doesn't cut it anymore. Not a very hard worker and botches the chances he gets. Throw in Pekhart or Necid instead, so Selassie can aim for a head in the box, and also get a good target to work with.

Yea If I see anymore of his impotency im going to cry. He needs to go.
I remember reading that in each euro, one of the teams that advanced as top 2 in Russia's group always made it to the final. I don't know if that is true but damn, greece 2004 inc? lol

If teams continue to gift Greece goal like their 3 opponents in this group. May be Zeus is helping them :D

So you love football so much that when your team loses you stop supporting them?

Same here, we're losing this Euro in a terrible style (like every other tournament before). Jebać PZPN i cały ten polski piłkarski grajdołek kurwa.

The match was pretty even I think and with a little more luck our team could have scored 2 or 3 goals... this did not happen then, so I guess it's the right time to say gg wp gl to our Czech neighbours

Why is it crazy ? They got the most points ? That has nothing to do with Eurocup rules, You win 2 out of 3 you go through. Doesnt matter if u let 10 goals in the first game.
And if its a two way tie, why didnt you do well against the opponent you were tied against ? Its the same in all international tournaments, If you lost 1 of your 3 games to the team thats tied with you said team should go through. Absolutely makes sense.
Unless theres a feeder team or something.
Its only the 3 way tiebreaker thats somewhat unique here and Im not a fan of it but even that intuitively makes sense.

Agreed. Czechs advancement was legit, though. Greece vs Russia to advance could be argued forever (as for the rules in play). Personally I'd rather see Russia advance, sine they played better overall.

Agree completely. Russia have only themselves to blame and not the UEFA ruling for this.

Can't blame the players, they will do everything to advance. Do you think if Scotland were given a chance they would not do it? Blame the ref not the players.

I wasn't making it in reference to the czech. Forgot I had both the tabs open for czech game AND russia game.

Huh course you blame the players for cheating and diving and you blame the ref. Not every team plays the same.

Even if its with reference to Greece I addressed that aswell. Goal difference is great and all but it really only matters in a 3 way tie.

cause they are fucking retards.
So much frustration... you really could use a hug now.
Do not get overhyped. Polish football is bad. Polish team was ranked by FIFA 75th-62th this year. That means they are bad. The last time they got out of the group stages was in 1986.
Adding in a couple of guys from Borussia Dortmund and a decent goalkeeper does not make a good teem, QED.
So no surprise there really, go cheer for the volleyball team if you crave that wins that much.

Well they do lack depth outside the dortmund Trio but I feel like every half they play beyond themselves and dont really conserve energy like they need to. Mentally to the focus starts to drop when your tired. Alot of the time its just better to let the pedal of the gas and shit a gear lower while still trying to control the game. Thats what great teams manage to do.
Im not sure thats the reason but its certainly something that came to my mind watching their games.
I watched the Russia game tonight so no comment on that but Poland should have beaten Greece and had their chances vs Russia. They were more than capable of getting through, it just didn't fall for them.
On June 17 2012 19:32 -Archangel- wrote: I am not sure what Polish fans expected. If they needed to go through qualifications they probably would not even qualify.
We played a very even match and even had slight advantage vs Russia, who was titled the best team in the group and one of the favorites of the cup. That made us believe even more than we did before that we would make it to the quarterfinals.
To sum up the cup, we played a little better than usually, and, as always, we had a great goalkeeper. He really had no chance to save these 2 goals he let in. I hope now he will be picked be up by a good club, he definitely deserves it
Very few thought Czech Republic would go through let alone win the group in the beginning. Nobody thought they would go through let alone win the group after their 4-1 loss to Russia. Everybody said they were a shadow of their former self. They're certainly not as good as they were, but man it's unbelievable that they actually won the group, yet proving again that football is not played on paper.
