That said, i hope the lag will improve as whatever it was that was broken by the earthquake got fixed so we can get better conditions in later rounds for the players.

Fruitdealer and Boxer both said on korean community sites that there was constant lag and delay in games and it was almsot unbearable... (1s to 2s delay) The reason boxer lost 2nd set was because he shot the emp wrong in a very important battle due to lag (boxer said himself) I guess there's not much one can do to fix this...

When Boxer lost to White-ra in IEF 2009 ( i think? not sure), a lot of people commented extremely how he was a disgrace to the nation and shouldnt be allowed to re-enter Korea. If they treat the father of esports in that way, of course they won't spare nightend/fd. That said, i hope the lag will improve as whatever it was that was broken by the earthquake got fixed so we can get better conditions in later rounds for the players. he lost to super in 2004 at wem china (owned by mass goliaths on gaema gowon)

<3 That's just insane. TSL3 champ baby. Q: Your next opponent will be the winner of Sen vs Fenix. Who do you prefer to face? Personally I would prefer to play Fenix over Sen, but what I thought as I played today's games was... Before “Fenix” can play “Sen,” you have to take into account that “Terran” is tough against “Zerg.” What did Boxer mean by this exactly? He would rather face Fenix, but he didn't think Fenix would beat Sen because of TvZ?

So Boxer feels that TvZ is zerg favoured right now? Interesting.

Pretty damn amazing, ya. :D And it was a sweet interview too, once again his charisma shines through. ^__^ Also super happy about Thorzain's win, I can understand if he got quite excited after that win. ![]()

I just cannot help but feel that's a disservice to Tyler. Feeling like everyone is going to underestimate Tyler...sigh* Oh well, their loss since he's going to be winning the whole thing. Also, YEAH BOXER!!! I dont get logic on this since Tyler has beaten him before. But personally I think itd be better to be the underdog.

(a) It's the internet. If Korean posters looked through some TL threads like "BAN KOREANS FROM NASL?" I think they would have at least as much reason to gripe as you guys have, if not more so-- and people commenting on TL include pros, not random internet trolls. (b) Korea is the mecca of e-sports. If Brazil's soccer team was dominated by Kuwait, or the US Olympic basketball team was beaten by China, the outrage would be intense. They take pride in their starcraft proficiency, and as you can see, the criticism is flowing as heavily on Boxer/FruitDealer as it is on NightEnd. I wouldn't take the "minor league" thing too seriously, remember, TSL 2 didn't even allow Koreans for fear of them dominating us, right? Like it or not, Korea is the hub of global e-sports, though yeah "minor league" is a bit harsh, especially considering GSL 1 champion just got owned by a European player that hasn't dominated the tournament scene (though that could be changing soon!) (c) Lag IS an issue. It may not be an excuse (and in Thorzain v. FruitDealer, I think FD got straight up outplayed every step of the way), but it's a handicap that can't be dismissed for KR players. (d) Give it time. The biggest clash between international community and Korean progamers so far has been IEM, and ST_Ace and ST_Squirtle, who didn't make it past Ro32 of Code A, were 1 and 3 in the tournament, crushing through some of the strongest foreigner competition in the world. TSL 3 is a different story, and if foreigners continue to show up like Thorzain did, the narrative will change.
