Actually he was the Dúnadan, dunedain is the whole group of men of the westernesse.
Dunadan is actually just the singular form of Dunadain. In elvish, words are pluralized by changing the vowel patterns.
-edit2: Dunadan literally means "westman" in elvish. It's not a specific title.

`dunedain was just temp banned for 2 days by heyoka.
That account was created on 2011-04-12 23:07:40 and had 248 posts.
Reason: Both of you cool off and stop this argument.
This was where it came from. Although I could have just called Heyoka racist for banning all of them, I suppose.

That's what happens when geek blood gets riled.

No, that's what happens when people are uninformed about the elvish language.

Meh I really should read the whole series again but the god damn movies really killed it for me T_T Also Aragorn was called the dunadan after his coronation.

I did a book report on them from memory in high school.

Man takes a 25 page break from the ABL thread and can't even figure out what the hell is going on anymore once back.TT

Okay, let's get away from the Middle Earth for now:
Widz was just temp banned for 2 days by Haemonculus.
That account was created on 2011-03-27 04:12:21 and had 68 posts.
Reason: Surely you can find a less offensive way to express your thoughts. Hasn't there been enough heat yet for people to keep off this topic? I guess his post is in the Flash thread but I can't find it T_T

Only major issue I really had with the movie was the elves showing up at Helms Deep. That was a pretty rediculous change, actually modified the intent of Tolkien.
That and Elija Wood is really whiney. But the rest of the changes were pretty necessary to sucessfully transition it to a movie. If Fellowship actually were true to the book, it would be the most boring six hour movie ever made. And I'm pretty sure most people would be pretty confused about Tom Bombadil.

Blasterion was just temp banned for 30 days by EvilTeletubby.
That account was created on 2010-10-22 10:35:34 and had 9737 posts.
Reason: Ok.
At this point you have two pages worth of mod notes. You were just warned earlier about the image macros and proceeded to post a few more AFTER being warned. Nearly all of your warnings/bans have been for image macros/low content posting. You have almost 10k posts, and have only been here about a year and a half.
Your posts are largely filler. That needs to stop. You wont get many more warnings.
ETT putting another notch in the belt, in 30 days or so we may just see a perm.
Here's one of the posts that got him a warning recently:

I wish they would make a whole movie just about TB! ...no not TotalBiscuit. >_> Tom Bombadil of course, you know, the original TB! I'm off to sleep, thinking about this stuff makes me sleepy T_T

...and proud of it. Sorry about the elf comment earlier. I guess I was wrong, but I thought that the Dunedain were related to the elves in some way, therefore elf-blood. My geekness failed me.

Hey, at least knowing elvish has practical applications. One of these days I'm going to meet a good looking nerd girl, and my elvish pickup lines are going to come in handy.
(seriously though, the LOTRs internet fanbase is like 75% female)

I'm sure twilight beats that in female population. You need to start learning occult vampire speech as well.

Yeah but, I'm pretty sure that only works on teenagers and pre teens. I'm 23, so... that could get a little creepy.
