I just get really mad, or worse, people get mad at me ;_; In fact, I almost never go into General, basically for that reason. Well, that's wisdom. I think the problem with the general forum is that people who have really strong ideas really want to fight about them. You find much more extreme opinions by much more aggressive posters than anywhere else on the forum. When I got to a point I was getting banned on a very regular basis and for longer and longer length, I did the same. I have to say that since I'm not interested in SC2 and BW is slowing down a lot, I sometimes don't have anywhere to go but the general forum. I tend to decide when will be my last post in advance to avoid getting dragged in endless inflammable discussions.
Which makes you quite a lot smarter than a lot of other people out there
I basically never talk politics or religion if I can avoid it (and on TL its pretty easy : I just ignore the threads ). Discussing topics where people are usually strongly attached to their opinion with a lot of people having a lot of different opinions just makes no sense to me.. at all.

I guess in my case, Plexa got the last laugh with the 2-week hammer x_x man those 2 weeks were brutal!!
Straight after Nyvone gave me the hammer on pg 999 i requested a month long temp for study break and was confused why i didn't get it. I didn't know a ban extension counts as a new ban therefore putting me on pg 1000. I wasn't trying to get on pg 1000 at all IIRC one of those SC2 in proleague threads just turned me into a blithering idiot.

I have to say that some of my favorite posters are quite turbulent. Coagulation is a good example. I try to believe that the quality of what you write and how often you cross the red line are not necessarily correlated (at least I hope so...)

I doubt Psy got banned that much, if at all – he's been in the community for years, here & at other sites. Plus he's still posting pretty regularly. (Also his aka has an underscore, Psyonic_Reaver.) Not sure who you're thinking about.
