1 week temp ban seems a bit long, wouldnt 2 days be more appropriate for neverGG? It is quite disheartening to have your efforts made fun of (even if rekrul wasnt posting with malicious intent, i think) There was no malice. Rekrul lost thousands of dollars because of Flash. It was a joke that NeverGG misinterpreted. There is also precedent that if you make a thread, get a bunch of replies and then edit the OP to say "I hate you guys and I'm not doing this anymore" or something similar, you will get banned.

TBH this ban has been a long time coming (although I'm trying to think of a way to say that without it sounding so strong). You can't use overwhelming force to respond to every perceived disagreement or slight and expect to be a functioning member of an internet community.

Eh... yeah I was totally surprised to see her overreaction, but at the heart of it was a misinterpretation. I'm sure it's harder for her since she knows she contributes alot to the community and it's her first temp ban which is bound to be the toughest. I think 1 week is fair given the circumstances, and although Rek was trolling, I definitiely didn't see anything serious about it and got a laugh from his "FU". It sucks that NeverGG interpreted Rek as trying to kill the thread but her reaction was uncalled for. I'm glad our mods are unbiased enough to see it.
Although reading what Kennigit wrote on her ban message I suppose it doesn't make things easier. A first ban is hard enough to take without getting insulted for it by a mod.

k can i just say that the #1 thing to NOT DO ON THE INTERNET if someone makes you mad is to show it? how have people not realized this? people who react badly make themselves targets and it's totally unfair and cruel but that's just how it works.

I'd like to quantify my awesomeness. Can you please supply me with this information, kind sir??

konadora has like 80 posts minimum per live report thread from what I've seen

Yeah its pretty weird seeing that lockdown icon on her, TBH I thought she was gonna get temp-banned in that thread where her and chill went at it.

It is scary indeed, and more scary to be on it. 1 week temp-ban from TL feels awful, especially if an OSL finals involving your favorite player is taking place O_O.

It seems unusually stereotypical for that to have happened. At least in my experience i know alot of women who will misinterpret a joke entirely and twist it into something it wasnt just to be a spaz or whatever underlying emotional motives women have these days. Almost feel bad seeing it as this but really
1. he'd find an fu from rek great ???? 3. oh so you're saying what im doing is a worthless
i cant fill in the blank ah well good to see TL being reasonable as always in dealing with this stuff, if only the real justice system were as good

I am not sure I agree with you here. I think it's rational and sane to react how you feel. If that's a problem then you are socializing with the wrong people.
Anyways I hope neverGG realizes that when there is drama like this it means that people care

But Rekrul had to make another post (is it another joke?) after NeverGG asked that people who post on the thread to stay on topic.
Well, I'll leave the issue as that... or
EDIT: Now, I kind of understand Rekrul's joke attempt after looking back at the three past get well project we had (Backho, Jaedong, Lilsusie)
For the Backho project by Lilsusie and NeverGG, it was chaos. Most people put one line cheers which is total different than the format for Flash's project.
For the Jaedong project by NeverGG, it was very well organize. There are like 1 or 2 edited out posts and other posts follow similar format like the Flash project.
For the Lilsusie project by Monion, it refer back to the chaotic environment like the Backho project. Well, it is better but no where as organized as the Jaedong or the Flash project. And Monion has a much high tolerance for jokes.
To summarize, it is indeed overreaction by NeverGG to discontinue the project. But in the future, I hope people respect those who start meaningful projects like these and keep trolling to a minimum.
respect is a double-edged sword; as respect grows, so does the fallout when that respect is breached. people are gonna make jokes and say nasty things on the internet. like kennigit said, the initiative of creating a project like this comes with an inherited responsibility to finish it, or give a legitimate reason as to why it can't be completed. cancelling the project as a petty power play to get back at someone who posted a snide comment is a one-way ticket to bansville.
in nevergg's case, given the countless similar incidents we've had, her contributions (they're many and great, don't get me wrong) are what keep her relatively safe. we're not here to babysit our members and make sure their feelings aren't hurt and they get along with everyone else. we're here to make sure that disruptions are kept to a minimum and the overall quality of the forum is high enough that people enjoy the time they spend here.
none of the staff outwardly dislike nevergg, none of the staff would like to see her disappear. we hope she sticks around after her week's up and continues to contribute. the negative impact of her cancelling the flash fan project is what got her banned for a week. however, further disruptions will be met with further bans. the leniency we give to contributors isn't arbitrary, and nevergg's has run out.
