nunez was just banned by MoonBear. That account was created on 2011-02-28 13:01:14 and had 3929 posts. Reason: You made it about 30 posts before deciding to derail another thread in General Discussion. Generally, when someone comes back from Disneyland we hope they learn something from the Magical Kingdom. It seems like you learned the wrong lessons. Nunez, bookwyrm, you'll be missed. I dont know how he has the patience to continue to explain things to you idiots but the man is a hero. If I were a better person I would be more like him, but im not, im just me. Just become a lazy teacher like me book (if you somehow read me). You'll have time to do things, but not enough motivation to actually do things that matter, and will end up roaming old gaming forums. | ||

It gets tedious (and I've barely actually posted rather than just read). | ||

I'm one of the few people in those threads who don't even bring up ideology. You won't find any discussions of the normative from me - in terms of politics or economics. Frankly it was on everyone's mind I'm just one to say it. Again, if you notice when you first responded to me, you'll see that I only discussed the crisis in the context of practical consequences independent of ideology (I don't even possess any strong beliefs in either politics or economics.) I'll go so far as to say that I don't even mind if people bring up their strong briefs in that thread as long as it's truly relevant to the topic at hand - that was not the case with this guy. He used the Greek crisis purely as a vehicle to advertise his ideology. | ||

I agree on some points and it's fine for guys to have different opinions it's a matter of staying on topic and the intention / tonality of the discussion. I do think that the general level of discussion in that thread has been good. It's a little bit unavoidable that some discussion topics are repeated but that's not a huge problem especially as new developments on the situation come to light. I mainly try to talk about these new developments and learn from the better informed posters in that thread. | ||

Though posting about the Country-that-must-not-be-named was a tad silly by him. Interesting how posting links about a European country counts as derailing a thread about European politics but meh.
