101toss was just temp banned for 2 days by Chexx. That account was created on 2010-04-26 06:36:52 and had 2394 posts. Reason: We told you to stop it, we warned you but you still continue to post bad advice. Stop telling people that Sightstone is a noob trap and to not buy wards. if anyone follows league and is curious + Show Spoiler + Sightstone takes up one of your ruby crystals which could have meant an earlier real item (ie you delayed an aegis by 800 gold) Plus 400 (+ruby crystal) gold upfront early game is much more costly than say 75g each b and then your 250 trinket at level 9 (where 250g matters less). Even more cost if you delayed upgrading your gp5 (idk what these are called now) item for the sightstone due to lost extra gold income. Also, it takes up an inventory slot and you end up selling your sightstone eventually anyway as previously mentioned (I'm surprised people even consider ruby sightstone part of a full build). It's a similar concept to a riven showing up to lane with 2 long swords compared to your 1 long sword at level 1 vs her having a long sword on you at level 9. Only a 360g advantage for both cases, but very substantial differences in laning. Granted, the setback sightstone gives you isn't as big as this, but it's still pretty damn noticable. All-ins at level 6 (or in general) can be decided by 400g in items. I've seen many pre-9 botlane where fights get decided by a margin of <100hp (ie support lived long enough to kill the other champions first). They almost always end up in my favor cuz, you know, I don't buy wards :^) tl;dr: sightstone is the new madred's bloodrazor in terms of noob traps User was temp banned for this post. Haha I've held my tongue pretty well in my opinion. Although my comments would of been made in jest, I wouldn't have been surprised by at least a warning. But no, I am not the one of which I speak. I'd imagine you could venture a guess though. | ||
