so yesterday out of pure boredom i figured ill try to checkout a vod of the spl finals.
to see if sc2 made any progress in terms of more attractive gameplay for its viewers (the main problem for sc2 with all the declined viewer numbers in korea).

so i did see flash vs parting and stats vs soulkey.
sadly but not unexpected the games still comedown to one big fuzzy ball fight and the player who won that took the game. (same problem with the gameplay as 2 years ago its a boring maxedout 1 battle game)

so i bet for a newer player who never experienced broodwar / lan-latency, this must all be pretty impressive (lol)
but from a broodwar perspective sc2 did not make any progress and still feels incredibly boring to watch.

and on a side note the one who pays attention notices kespa and the spl teams are working incredibly hard to sell sc2 to the public , almost formalized ceremonies (pre planned) with the goal to create a hype and make up for the lacking gameplay same with the casters and players all acting like sc2 is the best followup for sc1 while the progamers / coaches and casters if they would speak freely without their contracts and wallet in mind all share the same opinion sc2 is a mockery failed to continue its passion of the original for players and fans (only Bisu went on record with this) JD/Flash only silently acknowledge that (they say they understand Bisus reasons and were not surprised he quit sc2)

sooo to all the newer players that only know sc2 and not broodwar take no offense, i can somewhat understand why you would like sc2.

see this more as an eyeopener, understand what commercialization does:SELL the shit out of trash make it NEWER=better sell it again if its not better? just pretend it is.
realize what a sc2 proteam contract for an ex-broodwar pro means : a chance to continue their career
as a professional e-sports player.
so you can freely ignore all opinions from commentators/coaches/players because they will never bite the hand that feeds them.

now i know this is gonna be a bitter pill to swallow for all the minors and fanboys on here so wish me luck lol

i wont go into detail on why and what..or explain you history of e-sports why sc2 doesnt live up to broodwar as an rts these things are all obvious and out there educate yourself do some research before you form an opinion etc..

sooo this was my point of view which i was kind enough to share with you guys cheeers
