i dont even care about their conversation, or the ban beyond the first two sentences. i had to look it up to determine what you were referring to as a cult, only to find out that it was the mormon church. referring to the mormon church as a cult is the issue, and now it appears you are referring to all religions as cults. maybe you have some semantic reason for doing so, but the common usage is insulting to religious people.
i am not mormon, or religious, btw.

Sigh, I guess this is going to be another one for website feedback. If you object to my use of the word cult then make a topic there. I would however like it noted in the OP of the topic that my feelings on the matter did not stop me banning the guy for arguing against religion. You're arguing purely about the words I used and not some systematic bias in my moderation. Let that be the end of it in this topic.

no point to making a post in website feedback. as you stated, i dont question your moderation, i question your "bias" in the mod notes, which were completely unnecessary. the whole cult thing is a big issue right now and everyone is fighting over it. i would hope for a little more objectivity rather than unnecessary flames.

boraz's warning was specifically for calling Obama a Muslim in a topic with mod notes at the top telling people to fact check. It wasn't for his repeated calling for the ban of the guy I banned for arguing about religions. The only thing boraz is currently banned for is martyring because he felt the need to rage against the machine after I warned him for something unrelated to the argument and banned the guy he was arguing against.

I like to think of tournament LR and threads about super-current events (like the election) as a sort of natural selection. They draw out all sorts of people to the threads, and the dumb ones get banned out. TL will be a much healthier community after this cleansing.
