Taking a shot in the dark, but perhaps it's sort of like a Roman dictatorship where their actions are still held accountable etc. Our moderators have the good sense, judgment, and intention necessary for their positions. They enforce for the benefit of the community as a whole and generally do a great job of it. They're selected on the basis of merit by other moderators/administrators and work for the benefit of the site. There is no "constitution" or set of laws by which they must "govern", but they don't need one because they are at one governors and citizens wish the best for the community. In general I wouldn't say it's really a question of moderators governing anyone though lol, kind of an awkward way to put it in my humble opinion. In general this kind of discussion seems like it should probably go straight into site feedback though -_-
vNmMasterT was just temp banned for 2 days by monk..
That account was created on 2012-09-15 02:41:16 and had 7 posts.
Reason: All your posts are negative and most are complain-y in nature. Shape up. Also, take some time to read the strategy forum guidelines while you're banned. It feels like in context, monk's full stop + the normal period makes it *almost* an ellipsis...as if monk is just shaking his head in mild disbelief and disappointment lol + Show Spoiler +![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/pHn2B.gif) something like this

I think you've confused this thread with something it isn't.

There should be a vote for best mod of 2012. Then R1CH can write a bot to rig the vote in his favour.

It's been a great thread, a lot of very good discussion. It hasn't been the same without sam!zdat though. I thought it was him and farv who were banned until after election, how are you back farv? I decided to petition my ban, Sam did not. It would seem that he is rather less concerned with having posting abilities than I lol How exactly did you go about petitioning? I've sent PM's to mods and they simply don't respond. Do you have a mod in particular you PM or just the one that banned you? Whether or not I ever respond to a PM generally has more to do with how busy I am and if I get distracted right after I read it than the PM itself. One of the limitations of a volunteer staff. In farvacola's case there was a brief discussion in the mod forum and it was concluded that the ban was not needed after the PM and given the context.

I mean when he organized ICCup CL, it got way more prize money and viewers than GC did! Oh wait... 1. You mean the league Eywa's buddies cheated in and then left, once they found out? On the server Eywa wasn't capable to work the most easiest tasks? Yes, it's easier to break someting than fixing it, which this thread proofs enough, don't you think? It's amazing he hosts an event in the city with the most active scene, with the argueably best organizers living nearby - I mean almost 50 tours with prize money, several sponsored LANs (uhhhh), a clan league with a similar prize pool and several other events - and yet only Largo feel enough pity to try to help. Yes, that really points towards this organizer's good record. edit ; no offense @Eywa's friend. 2. Guess what? He had already asked me for help. HAHAHA. Oh wait, i rejected! :p On November 06 2012 22:23 [sc1f]eonzerg wrote: offtopic ^^ you know who i am I know that you think your post makes any sense, but it really doesn't. All it makes sense of is your delusional sense of knowledge. You criticize me for actions taken by another person entirely. Game has never run and/or made decisions for my events unless it was otherwise indicated that it was a joint venture (Altitude Nation Wars). I mean, not only do you make a false connection between two people, but you also dismiss all the accomplishments of basically every money tournament since the release of Starcraft 2. Now you see the delusion, now you see where you went wrong? I hope so... You live under the impression that we, the organizers of said events have wronged you... I won't speak for Game, but I do this as a hobby and I attempted to be the most manner guy out there for some time, however... constant bad mouthing from 100+ people eventually gets to you and then you no longer care, you don't want to help them, you don't want to be nice to them and you don't have to do any of those things. Also, claiming that I asked you for help is very general, I asked you to help me gain contact with Sonic so that we could have interactive events between the scenes, you contacted him, then felt the translation took too long, decided to stop, asked me again later if I wanted help, I told you that you already quit once, why the fuck would I want your help now, you then responded with a "fine, I won't help you then" and I promptly reminded you that you never have and never will even if I allow you to. Now, this is way off topic, so stop posting your delusional game/eywa theories in this thread as well as all other lost sense of knowledge and accomplishments you have. I don't think anyone cares, everything you've done for the scene has fallen through and/or was promptly quit on without you having added any benefit while passing. To sum everything up: To any of you that feel you have been wronged by any organizer including myself, I have a few words for you; We don't owe you anything. yo sponsor master Eywa-! learn text comprehension, even me as non-native speaker(yes, Korean!) can do that, the post was directed at OUR SUPERHERO sayle's "statement". as for you goes: we don't owe you anything either, you're not a saint On November 07 2012 00:22 Eywa- wrote: "P.S. So it's just that general concept of don't shit on the people who are feeding you or in this case powering your hobby to be maintained with minimal effort on your end. There is nothing to debate. Regarding Hyeon's ban: I still have a tendency to try to get the last word in too. Recently, I've grown to detest the practice and seen it as a very rude response, especially in General topics. Trying to fix it as much as possible in my own conversations.

The context of this is him getting into an argument where he repeatedly called for the other guy to be banned. I gave him a warning for something completely unrelated (failure to fact check despite topic rules) and gave the other guy a one week ban. He then sent me that PM telling me I was being massively biased against him (after I banned the guy he was calling to be banned and did nothing to him regarding the argument) and told to ban him.
He's now assuring me that he'll get my mod powers taken away and that tl is dying anyway.

why would you refer to the mormon church as a cult in a ban reason? time and time again, this site has shown itself to be so religiously intolerant. it blows my mind.
ayaz2810 was just temp banned for 1 week by KwarK.
That account was created on 2011-09-14 10:46:32 and had 490 posts.
Reason: You got a pass on the first comment because it's obviously a cult. That's not even debatable. Despite the cultist calling for your blood I ignored his protests and let your post stand. However you then decided to pursue the argument and try to defend yourself in the topic, even though you got no moderator action for the original comment. You have previous temp bans for starting off topic religion arguments, keep doing it and they'll just get longer.
Also you don't get any points for "But, I'm not going to have a theological debate in the election thread.". Don't say you're not going to do it, don't do it.
