I don't want to seem like I'm sympathizing with him or trying to justify what he did or anything, but there was an entire thread created that was shit talking him. There's only so much abuse one can take, and I think that this is proof of some of the outbursts from JP/DJ Wheat. I've heard day9 even has his mods read criticism about him and filter out the blatantly rude/troll comments.
It was a horrible situation from every angle, something not worth rehashing.

Firstly, there are quite a few newer users in the SC2 section who know very little about BW and don't have the greatest grasp of TL's posting standards either. Secondly, there's also a set of BW fans who get very vicious towards SC2, but have been allowed to get away with it so far because they generally keep it to the BW section.
I think it's safe to say there'll be some fireworks, but at least the threads for following days should be cleaner, and it'll give TABLT a lot of material.

I expect it'll be a lot like the Unimpressed Flash thread. A decent amount of noise around the edges from the idiots, but easy to skip through to get to the important stuff. Only louder. And more banhammer'd.

I dunno, putting those groups of people in real contact for the first time might set something off. I really think that the sum total of poor choices and poor posting will be greater than what we have seen before. At least up until this point there has been only minimal overlap between the "omg ur a fag sc2 soooo much better than LoL" people and the "I have been watching Brood War for a decade and from my experience I can tell you that this second game with the same name is noting. It is an rts which is as unplayable as a rock with the word Starcraft painted on it"
There should be some fun interplay.
