destiny doesnt exactly post enough for a ban to be an effective deterrent but unfeaturing his stream seems like a drastic (and possibly pointless) step. drama time!

Not so much a policing the internet but ts been made pretty clear more than a few times that if you cant be bothered to show a little respect to the moderator staff then you aren't welcome in the community. Should be interesting to see how staff reacts this time.

Well shit...that was not an easy two days to do, but I did for the 1000th page martyrs. Fuck though...it seems that a lot has been going down. I am glad to see the Destiny ban because while I think he has a point about people standing up for what they believe, there are tons of people out there that can do it with class and tact. Destiny is not one of them. I have no issues with the guy personally, not much of a fan though mainly due to the fact that as a young white male it is near impossible to know if racial slurs really mean anything to certain people.
While I don't think he is a racist, he is definitely not concerned with others. He seems to think that everyone is dumb that does not agree with his ideals. Just because someone is "honest" does not make that person's idealism correct. It just shows stubbornness. It is not the most intelligent or strongest to survive, but the ones that are most adaptable.

From what i've seen, i think TL staff will do whatever they can not to flamebait. If they act too soon they're just forcing him to flame for the sake of his pride, so i think they'll let this slide for now. He's not idra though, if he disrespects the Mods, I don't think there will be qualms about getting rid of him, and i'm not sure he'll be back if he gets a perm.

That's only half the story.
The whole thing started when Idra made a post in the Cruncher fan club calling cruncher some not so nice things. Chill gave Idra a short 2 day ban for being a jerk. Idra then went on twitter and posted the following:

Unfortunately, a number of Idra fans took this far to seriously and started PMing Chill with annoying crap. Idra refused to apologize or retract his statement in any way, so Nazgul and the other staff made the decision to ban him for 90 days. This only intensified the crap random people were sending Chill, and resulted in some bizarre and funny bans just past page 700. Highlights include:
Julian Olynick was just banned by Chill.

Thank god - i have more of a problem with the army of ignorant morons that latch onto everything that Destiny says and then see it as a way to 'protest' or fight for some 'greater good'
I really respect TL for the action they took, especially with the stance on defeaturing his stream during his ban.
