Welcome everyone to Season 3 of the TL Community Member Awesomeness Tournament! After the ugliness that has arisen lately in regards to match-fixing allegations, (You know, it's funny, I made this thread last year, but this comment still stands true T-T) I think it's time for the community to do something awesome that reminds us exactly why we love eSports so much.
If you were with us for Season 1 and Season 2 then you should pretty much know how this works. If you're joining us for the first time, then fear not, for all the rules and information will be provided through this thread.
Rules:
This is a popularity contest, so the community will be voting. It is super objective in figuring out who’s the best of the best, just like BlizzCon. All voting will be done through TL Polls, because dammit this is a TL contest!
If you want to spread propaganda, have grudgematches, write articles, go on banning sprees, or translate articles to raise your profile, go ahead! No bribes though, that is super not cool.
NOTE: As the supervisor of this tournament my word is final. If I make an executive decision in regards to a problem or a situation, then that is it. If you have a problem with that, go ahead and email the sponsors or PM/tweet at me with massive insults. But don't be surprised if all I ever respond with is this image:

NOTE #2: Assistant Supervisor - The_Templar
Nomination Rules:
Community members must be nominated into the tournament. Technically, anyone can be nominated, but we’re here to show a bit of appreciation for our favorite community members and have some fun, so hopefully we get serious nominations for people who actually do something for the community.
Because this is for the community, we are excluding Pros, Casters, and famous people like Slasher or people from GOM/SPOTV/IEM/DH/Blizzard, etc. etc.
As a form of seeding, some community members need less nominations in order to join the main tournament:
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/TeamLiquid.net_Staff
Reds - 2 Nominations
Blues - 3 Nominations
All other TL staff/Forum Stars - 4 Nominations
Trial Staff/Non Staff Contributors (People who do LR threads a lot, or translate, or do Live Reports, manage fan clubs, etc) - 5 Nominations
Forum Users (basically everyone else) - 6 Nominations
Each user can only nominate a maximum of 3 people. If you nominate more than that I won't count it/them.
This thread will serve as the Nomination Thread. Nominations will end exactly 1 week later on 5/23/16 @ 9:00am PDT / 12:00pm EDT. First 64 to get nominated into the tournament are in. If we don't get to 64, I will pick those who had the most nominations among those who didn't make it. NO BYES! THAT'S JUST LAME!
How Do I Nominate?
Please follow this format!!!
##Nominating: juicyjames (provide link to TL ID)
Reason: As the creator of the This Week In SC2 threads, juicyjames deserves to be in this tournament. He has diligently kept his thread updated every single week for over 4 years now, what an impressive accomplishment!!! Dude is super OP since he is the only recipient in TL history for the golden star!
Examples of Works (does not have to be TL thread links): http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/starcraft-2/278126-this-week-in-starcraft-2
Extra Supporting Details (does not have to be TL thread links): http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/tl-community/372808-star-for-juicyjames | http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/tl-community/479626-a-shiny-golden-star-for-juicyjames
If you see that a user that you like has been already nominated, please post ##Second: juicyjames. You do not need to provide the necessary information if someone already posted it before you. But if that person left something out, then by all means, feel free to add in some details yourself!

NEW RULE:
Last season, ##Seconds were unlimited. This season, each user gets a maximum of 5. USE THEM WISELY!
You CANNOT vote for the same person more than once!
Guidelines for Nominations:
I will be providing some examples of good and bad nominations from last season so that it will be easier for you guys to figure out who you would like to nominate.
Good nomination from previous seasons: KadaverBB
KadaverBB is beloved by pretty much everyone (ironic seeing as how he's head of moderation and makes tons of enemies. But then again, those enemies don't even exist anymore on TL.) [NOTE: KBB's strategy is to eliminate all those who oppose him. This is how he won last season.]
Bad nomination from previous seasons: R1CH
Let's face it. R1CH is a f*ing wizard. He does so much crap for TL. He is da boss man, the lone coder, the hero everyone needs. But he did not ONCE post in any of the TLCMAT threads or tried to win people's votes. A man like R1CH is just far too busy to waste time with a community tournament like this. So even though he DESERVES nominations, it is not a good idea to nominate him since he most likely won't care

This is not me saying don't nominate R1CH. If you want to, then by all means, go ahead. I'm just saying that perhaps your nomination can be better used for someone else that you know is an ACTIVE TL community member and WILL PARTICIPATE in this tournament. (Most likely admins like Nazgul, R1CH, and Plexa will be far too busy to care about something like this

Format:
The tournament will follow a GSL format, but expanded into 64 players. There will be three (instead of two) group stages using the GSL format. The Ro8 onwards will be knockout rounds.
Ro64 – GSL Style Groups
Ro32 – GSL Style Groups
Ro16 – GSL Style Groups
Ro8 – Single Elimination
Ro4 – Single Elimination
Finals / Third Place Match – Single Elimination
*Group Selections:
Just like GSL, I will make a Group Selections thread for ONLY the Ro16 of the tournament. The thread will show the order of how people are supposed to select a person of their choice. All other rounds will be done through randomization OR by my choice. Again, I'm running this bitch so my word is final hue hue hue. Details for Group Selections will be posted when the time comes.
Prize Pool:
Other than eSports dollars, the winners won't really get anything. But the champion does get all the glory in the eSports world and the right to walk around all over TL with a sense of pride and accomplishment that only opterown (Season 1 winner) can personally relate to. You also earn the right to shove your giant ePenis in everyone else's face.
