Once upon a time in a Tal'darim not much different than our own (this one had gold minerals in the middle, imagine!) myself and Heavy, as i affectionately called him, were marching over the middle of the map on the way to crush a heavily fortified terran position. There were bunkers on the high ground filled with angry marauders spewing their RPG's laden with concussive rounds. There were medivacs and banshees overhead raining down both life and death and as the zealots charged forth to crash like the tide upon the cliff that was the mass repaired bunkers the collosus marching overhead singed the terran position.

Alas the wall was as steel and we were forced back, the SCVs chanting "In rear with the gear!" mockingly, the marauders abandoning their bunkers injected themselves with adrenaline inducing stim-packs as we fled and their shells rained down. They tore stalker after stalker apart only a few blinking into the distance to avoid the wrath of the explosives.

To my unending anguish heavy was a high templar and even more slow than the usual of their kind, his feet brushing the ground as he attempted to levitate, fell behind as we fled. I tried to help him back to our base cutting down as many of the marauders as I could with my scythe-like blades. As we reached the half way point it was becoming desperate and as a scan fell upon us the marauders took aim upon me.

It was as if time slowed as his mind connected to mine. "Become an Archon with me and we shall fight til our last taking as many as possible with us!" I screamed in my mind. A grim determination cam over heavy's face then, I thought he was going to join and I was ready.

He raised his hands slowly and deliberately, staring at the marauders that were taking aim and then all i felt was heat and confusion wracking my brain. So this is what its like to become and Archon I thought. But as I looked around I realized that it was a storm, the marauders were yelling in pain even as they fell around me, I was safe. I looked to Heavy in gratitude but what I saw I will never forget.

A soft PEW filled the air, my mind, and heavy fell to an unseen gunman upon the center of tal'darim in. I ran, ran from the chaos and the death of my friend, escaping as the scan dissipated. Dodging the blasts of EMPs. Escaping to the safety of the nexus.

We won the battle for tal'darim later that day re-rallying an even larger army than before, the terran crippled after the loss of their weakened marauders to heavy's final storm. In honor of Heavy's contribution a monument was raised in the center of Tal'darim, an altar built with the surrounding golden minerals powered by the outlying vespene deposits.

One day I will find the ghost. If not in this life then as a stalker, I will hunt him down and make my vengeance.

Until that day I bask in the twilight, a dark templar in all but name.

LightTemplar was intended to be opposite to dark templar cause i thought DTs were awesome when i first played (I still think they're awesome :D)
