Yup, he says it like stepping on the wires were causing a clog in the pipes/system. hehe! I was just dumbfounded when I heard that. I guess we could imagine a slogan should be put in every event that needs internet "DO NOT STEP ON THE WIRES! WILL CAUSE SEVERE DROP IN BANDWIDTH! ANYONE FOUND STEPPING ON THEM WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR ANY DISRUPTION IN THE STREAM!" | ||

Even after everything that happened, if he had owned up and admitted that he fucked up royally, that a lot of other people paid for his mistakes, and that he cowardly went into hiding post-tournament rather than face reality, then I'd say "time to let this go". He'd still obviously never be trusted to run a tournament again, but maybe he wouldn't forever be ostracized by the community. This interview showed he shouldn't be put in charge of a lemonade stand, let alone a major tournament, ever again. | ||

Being formerly part of AZK, perhaps you could enlighten us with the organizational structure? I have the impression that Gus solely owns AZK, hence AZK equals Gus. I could be wrong tho, but I think that most likely is the reason why there are no statements from them. | ||
