You could use the search engine and you'd find it pretty easily. :/ For example. here's one response: On November 15 2011 16:15 ixi.genocide wrote: The Horse logo is an adage to the Lotr scene where gandalf summons water horses, They actually started using it as a banner before that but eventually nazgul liked it that way. They now have the rights to that image (which is actually reversed of the real painting). P.S. You guys should totally have an admin BW/SC2 tournament regardless of April Fool's. The TL mascot is not a horse. Its a pony. "A pony?" I hear you ask, yes, a pony. You see, I am secretly a time traveler. When I first visited TL in my time line the logo was a sinister dragon, a fearsome predator, a beast like those ridden by the nagzul in LotR. This was an infringement of some intellectual rights and a lawsuit from the owners of the LotR rights (EA games in my timeline), argued by a rouge PBU serving as a lawyer would hit tl hard economically and eventually cause TL to crumble, the team to disband, and ultimately for the great horror bound under TLPD to burst through and consume life and the internet as we know it. Knowing this I traveled in time, to create this reality. I arrived on scene and took up a moniker, one which occurred to me at random. Meat I named myself, remembering the MLP franchise, which would lead the final stand against the fiend below tlpd in the last days of TL, I decided to pay homage to the sacrifice of those brave souls who would now never have a chance to exist at all, as hasbro, without the influence that the Nagzul logo would have on a solitary designer, we would never produce the seventh blue pony, Starswirl as a main protagonist in the MLP series, which in this time line caused the lead director to leave after the first season, and avoided sending out the secret message that would rally the masses. With the logo replaced and my task done, I left the name of Meat and traveled forward to 2009, and rejoined tl as GMarshal, in the hope that this time I had averted disaster. Time will tell, but the changes I made are already causing repercussions beyond my wildest imaginations. And that is why the TL mascot is a blue pony.

I imagine there was a period of time when the site grew very quickly, or is this incorrect? To answer your question, never - I'm still a fetus linked to a computer

I was being facetious but I guess it does mirror a human in some way. TL grew gradually up until the announcement of Starcraft 2, then it grew more rapidly. Then the Beta hit, and, like puberty, TL exploded all over itself.
