They clean you up, hand you a badge and a gun, and they send you out on the streets. Why do you think so many mods end up with post ban stress disorder (known in the business as PBSD)? They send you out there as a little kid with your big, black ban-pistol. The first time you ban a guy, it's a thrill, you feel it for the rest of the day. You were out there, doing the right thing. Before you know it, you can't get out of bed in the morning without banning a guy. The PMs stack up while I'm asleep. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and check my phone to find ten, twenty PMs from banned users. The yellow numbers by my inbox too bright in the early morning. Then I wake again, and realise I was dreaming, that the banned haunt me even in my sleep. We've all thought of it, you know. Any mod who tells you different is a liar. I know more than a few who've tried to ban themselves...

I know more than a few who've tried to ban themselves... This is pretty much true. To actually address the question, we work as a team, once you get into staff its assumed you have some idea of what you are doing, so they just cut you lose, most of us ask a lot of questions and lurk for a while before doing anything, but the best way to learn is to just do it, you wouldn't have gotten into staff if you weren't smart enough to figure it out. Occasionally you'll get a PM from hot_bid, or someone saying "I disagree with X, you should have done Y" and then you go out and fix your mistake. Part of being moderation staff is acknowledging that yes, you are going to screw up, and knowing how to apologize, fix it and move on. That and knowing everyone is going to argue every decision. Everyone makes mistakes, staff is no different, what makes us great is that we acknowledge it and fix it.

DB9 Maybach Ford GT Oldest staff: Not me :D three people older than me at least. Special skills: I've got a diploma for ringing church bells (like with a rope and other people and stuff) Got it when I lived in England and I haven't really kept the skill up in Sweden since none of our church bells work like that. Acquire a skill over night: Too many skills I'd like to have.... speaking other languages fluently (Japanese mainly) learn new instruments (piano and guitar) a list of social skills or life management skills which are way too personal for me to divulge.

I don't know about the hours, but I went around 2 weeks once without dying. I was one of the hardcore guys on the TL server that played 6+ hours everyday for 3-4 months straight. Even became one of the admins at one point. But on average I usually died once every second day. Some days if we were screwing around in Cherno or Elektro on fresh spaws, we might die up to 10 times. Once we had all of our tents set up and had multiples of each item in the game, we just pvped constantly and did counter-sniping and stuff like that. I am sure if we didn't pvp surviving would be easier.

Aston Martin DBS Maybach (Exelero!) BMW M6 I'm not sure if I like the BMW 5 more than the 7, but probably an M5 would be more awesome. Audi R8 I'm sooooo waiting for the Day-Z stand-alone. Wooohoo. Though robbing hacker-camps for weeks was fun too...
