Well fellow Kiwis, it is nearing that time once again! After the resounding success of the last viewing party in May where we had around 40-50 people turn up, we've finally got around to organizing another one! This event is open to ALL SC2 FANS in Auckland and will once again be FREE and what you bring is up to your discretion, oh and it's ok to bring booze but don't be obvious about it.

All-Stars Special Event (5:00pm-9:00pm)

GSL Finals (9:00pm onwards)

Last time it was a bottle of Nestea. This time, Pepsi! If Polt makes it through lets bring some transformers toys along, and if July somehow gets through, anyone have a fat buddha statue? 
When:
Saturday 10th September, 2011
9:00pm (5:00pm if you want to watch the All Stars event)
Where:
Leech Study Area, level 3 of the Engineering building, 20 Symonds Street.
(The main entrance on Symonds Street with the UFO shelter thing is LEVEL 4.
Take the stairs down to level 3, and from outside you'll see a carpeted study area with red & green chairs. We'll be using the inner part of that room.)
The door requires an engineering student to open, but we will have people patrolling every 5 minutes to let people in.

Useful places to park:
Since it's a Saturday, hunt around Prince's Street for free parking. If not there's The Strand carpark where you can park the whole night for 6 bux. It is a 10min walk to the eng building from there.

I heard that this only applies at Auckland Uni mostly. Their expectations and course is ridiculously difficult apparently.

I did the Auckland Uni med course, it is hard and they can be unforgiving, but the interview processes does seem to sniff out some of the weirdos that apply. I didn't make the cut grade wise, but I can understand how it can be a little mean considering how far you would have come. Personally it was a blessing in disguise, I hated the political side of the health science degree (one of the reasons I did so badly) I was doing and what I'm doing currently is way way way more fun (Mechatronic Engineering).
Anyway woooooo GSL finals, looking forward to it!

It's not that bad actually, most people that don't get are either weirdos - or didn't get straight A+'s in their core subjects. If you achieve both of those there is a 80%+ chance you'll get in.

nah dude it's all gud. sunkee, the guy whos organizing it, is the vice prez of engineering and he's got the hookups. last time he even got one of the main lecture rooms! as long as people don't behave in a retarded fashion it should be fine and going by the standards of the last event, starcraft fans tend to be pretty well behaved
