The app looks really awesome, however I'm unable to login. It will just not accept my credentials (which I tested on the website itself by logging out then back in)
Most loved feature compared to the previous version: refresh thread option, woo!

Hey, just updated to the new version and the app looks great. However, I had the the same issue as the poster above, I just can't log in. Whenever I try to log in it says wrong username/password.
edit: clearing cache worked wonders, thnx!

When in doubt, go to settings and clear cache. That always helps.

Wow, this new update is amazing. Makes browsing the forums so much easier and cleaner than it was before. For those who had trouble logging in, it took me a few tries as well. I was able to log in on the iPhone only after I logged in on my desktop for some reason. Maybe it was just coincidental timing though.
But yea, huge improvement over the old TL app. Definitely going to make much more use of this one :

Holy shit, I got my iPhone literally 12 hours ago, and immediately when I got home, I googled "teamliquid iphone" and found your old thread and installed that version. Was extremely pleased, but saw some prototype screenshots you posted a while back for the future so was looking forward to that...... Now before bed, I see an update for the TeamLiquid app on appstore, go ahead and install it, open the program.. what do I see? The prototype is finished!! Yaaay :D weird coincidence lol. Oh and you mentioned you might take a dollar or something for it - I notice it's free. How do I donate ???

I'm gonna travel somewhere for a long period of time. And It's tomorrow.
So I though, an app for TL would be good to have on my iPhone.
So I shortly searched for "iphone" and this came up, I looked at the first post and scrolled down to say thank you guys and stuff, I noticed that the thread has only 2 pages. I thought it was weird and scrolled back up and looked the date, it was fuckin TODAY!
Totally awkward! Just when I need it the most, an app suddenly appears  ROFL.

Seeing that I use about 50% of my time while on my iphone playing angry birds and about the rest on the old TL app, this will make my days much more enjoyable. Thank you !!
edit: seems to have a problem when you try to login via the app. If you push the Login button it'll say that your username / pass dont match , you have to push the go button via the iphone keyboard

Every reasonable iphone 3g user is still on 3.1, it is literally 3-4 times faster than 4.x

EDIT: What worked for me was logging out of the site on my laptop, and while logged out, logging in on my iPhone.

This update was AWESOME! Before it was mostly just an app to browse the forums in my free time. Now I can actually log in and post, view my profile, etc. Very pleased with the changes you guys made. Keep it up!

This is quite the impressive app.
Question: I can't seem to access any of the "hidden" subforums, in this particular case, the LoL subforum. I have a hunch it may be the same way for the mafia thread. Are these accessible in anyway?

You haven't tried this app on the iOS 5 betas have you? I'm on beta 3 and I can't login or even get past the forums screen if I get that far at all. Trying to figure out if its a network issue or an OS issue.

Thanks for the link, $5 your way. A small suggestion - i've noticed visiting some websites through my iPhone come with a pop-up telling me that they have an app for the site, and I can click OK if I wish to view it in the app-store. For an example, try visiting http://www.everythingicafe.com through your iPhone. Get in touch with someone in the staff, maybe they could implement that feature.. I would assume its simple

Alright, just went through the trouble of downgrading from the beta back to iOS 4.3.4 and no problems now. Might just want to post a heads up that anyone using an iOS 5 beta will likely have problems using the app. Otherwise, great app and totally work the trouble

Love the app, one thing you could easily fix: the itunes description has a grammar error =p.

I'm having trouble trying to log in. It gives me Login Failed. Check Username/Password popup and I am 110% sure im putting the name and the password in right.

Such a nice app. So much better than the old one which I deleted pretty fast.
I'd pay my 0,79 € for the app anytime. It almost feels bad not to have to considering how much work you put into it.

LOL @ reset cache. Very nicely made. The graphics are nice! Unfortunately big (picture-filled) threads are deadly for my iphone... phone just freezes
what sort of browser are you using to open the webpage? just safari right?

Yep, looks nice! Showing only part of the post and then expanding is a good idea. Maybe you could do think of something similar (hide big pictures?) for LR threads / newsposts with heavy graphics? (Ok newsposts are supposed to have small pictures, but LR threads... hm.)

Double post detection gives the error with the span tags still and then doesn't take me to the thread again afterwards. Also, I can't for the life of me get to the last page of a thread from the index, but I don't know I'd that's because of my big thumbs or the app.
Loving it so far though, it definitely kicks the crap out of Safari.

Yup, if you guys are having problems, just clear cache, sometimes the token system of TL plays tricks on the app .

The old app was great, I spent the majority of my day on it. Although you couldn't post, but it deterred the "posting from work" replies. The only thing it missed was that and being able to login.
You guys made that happen plus adding a whole lot more. A fine job on the HUD. One suggestion I have with that is to link the banner with home ( as if it were the windows key on your keyboard). Similar to how the facebook app works. Being able to post a pic directly from your phone would also be must have.
Kudos, and thank you for this awesome patch.

Clearly you're refering to the BW live report threads, not the SC2 threads that are a flood of "lol artosis (repeat joke here), (Insert player here) sucks, I would have done (insert tactic) and won the game! and OMG (insert foreign player here) Hwaiting!!!!
App looks cool from what I can see in this thread.... Now I just have to hope an update heads out for my android version =(.

My thoughts after using this version for a week:
Pros:
- looks about a million times better than the old version
- yay I can log-in and post!
Cons:
- no way to visit the last page of a thread right from the thread list, only way is to wait until the first page loads up (slowly), then click on the >> arrow
- if you click on the >> arrow before the first page is done loading, it'll try to load the last page then give an error
Feature request:
- a button to go to the last page of the thread from the thread list
- a setting that auto-maximizes all posts (I'm not a huge fan of the default setting of having long posts collapsed)
- have all forum categories in one list by default. There's plenty of vertical space to list all the forums at a time, it takes a long time to go from Starcraft 2 to Starcraft 2 strategy to a thread to its last page
- being able to default it so that images don't load until you click on them would be very helpful for all the mobile users on tight data caps!
But I would say the last page issue is definitely the biggest reason why I'm using the default TL mobile site instead of the app. Fix that and I'll definitely use the app again!

Still, the Community News and Headlines (my personal favorite forum) has all of the articles listed out of chronological order. I can't find any setting for it, and I cleared cache and it's still happening. Any ideas?

I like the new design and features but the updated version seems to be working slow for me (same internet speeds and same iPhone 3G). Hope no one else is having the slow problems as I am because it is a shame to not be able use the best app in the whole app store!

Please ditch the automatic contraction of posts, I only just noticed to the little button to expand a post after thinking there was a bug where text after a quote wasn't showing up.
Changing between the different forums is slow with a 1 to 2 second wait between screens, is the list not cached?
Also, the feedback link in app links to the old thread. When I clicks through to this thread using the link at the end, it opened in safari and not the TL app :-)

I accidentally logged out and retyping your 256 bits password sucks. I tried to post, got an error, but the post was posted. Not sure if intentional, but posting while being logged out is a bit weird (I'm logged out now).

This app is pretty awesome. My only concern is that there is no report button in the + menu for people who have earned it.
Are there any future plans to put the report function in?

Sorry to bump this but I've got some feedback.
I love the app. I think it's great. I just noticed that several of the new forums (Diablo3, LoL Ect...) don't show up in the menu. I can't search for specific topics and sometimes get there, but can't browse.
I'm not sure if you're aware of that or not. Just wanted to let you guys know. Keep up the good work.

First of all: This app is amazing! Great work! Thanks for that. But since i upgraded my Iphone to IOS 5 the app isnt working properly anymore. It takes ages to load the forum and often its not possible to open the forum at all. Deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times, cleared the cache and everything... nothing helped. Is the app not compatible with IOS 5 yet? Does anyone else have the same problem?

I'm having issues with this as well on my iPhone 4. The main page loads just fine, but at the bottom it just says "Initializing..." forever. When I try to open the forums, I get stuck at the load screen. Just thought I'd share my experience. Other than that, this app is god damn amazing!

I'm on iOS4 and my forum doesn't seem to load up. I can't view my posts and see my messages. The only things I'm able to actually view is my profile, feedback and the thing that let's you delete your local data. What gives?

It stopped working for me yesterday too, worked fine the day before. This is on iOS5. My guess is something changed on the site's side to break it. If so, hopefully they can get it working again soon.

I don't think it is an iOS 5 problem only. I have the iPhone 4s, and have only ever run 5. It worked fine. My best guess is that the changes to the site recently caused the problem...but it worked just fine on iOS5 when I got it.

i just wanted to post here to let you know that the iphone app will not work on my new iphone, it wasn't working on my old iphone either i had the iphone 4. and now recently got the 4s, it hasn't worked since i got the 4s i click forums and it loads but the page is just blank nothing there, same issue i had on the iphone 4. i tried uninstalling the app and re installing and nothing... it comes up with an error to check my interenet connection but i have a fine connection and everything else is working fine, safari, twitter, facebook, etc. even on a wifi network it still gets the same issue... just wanted to give my feedback but when it was working i loved this app :D

Same here - iPhone 4s running 5.0.1. I have deleted and reinstalled, which typically corrects app problems. I can view my messages when logged in, but can't view my posts or use the search function.

Seems like maybe when TL changed it's website format it messed up the app? My friend hasn't been able to use it and i just downloaded it and can't either. Seems to have happened around the time the website changed. Just a thought, i know nothing about apps lol.

Thanks so much for this! The previous app that was made by someone, was pretty terrible. I can tell he worked hard on it but it was not very good and 9/10 times I just used the teamliquid site in safari in itouch.. That is about to change though. This thread is old but I never discovered it before.

Here is the changelog for the lastest update (it just got approved by Apple). Sorry for the delay, and I hope you guys enjoy! .

+ Fixed a bug where the App wouldn't let you login.
+ Fixed a bug where the app would never stop loading.
+ Added cached forum List
+ Added an option to have the posts be auto-expanded (settings screen).
+ Updated Navigation Icons
+ Fixed a bug where the app wouldn't let you see sub-Forums. (sub-forum button added).
+ Fixed a bug when the app would cut-off text when reaching the bottom of the screen.
+ Added Support button. (If you enjoy the app, support the developers, .99$)

+ Fixed a bug in the Feedback screen link, it now directs to the new App thread.

Fucking brilliant work, I asked myself when it will support my posts. The only thing missing is that it jumps directly to your post, but besides: Thanks for the awesome work, I love how much effort you put into the app, it really shows.

This is great, but not all the forums are working. There is no tlmafia forum and that's what I use to for mostly nowadays. Add tlmafia!

You can access the TL Mafia forum. Just go to "all forums" and tap on the blue icon next to sport and games.

App is broken yet again, fails at getting forum list over and over. It seems to timeout, maybe a faulty query. Either way, can only use it to browse this thread, tried reinstalling already.

Has anyone suggested a way to add threads or forums to a favorite list? I think it would be great not to have to navigate all the lists to find my 4 most visited threads.

Is requiring iOS 5.x really necessary for simple apps like these? Anyone still using their iPhone 3x cannot reasonably upgrade to anything higher than 3.2x in terms of speed and compatability.

I noticed that the app doesn't support landscape view for youtube videos when ipening them via a forum link. it's a small thing but it would be nice to use landscape mode

I'm on the app right now, sorry if I'm bumping an old thread (no warnings), but are there any plans on adding something similar to the subscribed threads page? I love the app, but it would be nice to see when/how many replies are posted on a thread, and being able to skip to the last page without loading the first one ^^

Can't follow links within the forums. Not sure if it is a settings issue or an app issue. For example, any thread with links to other threads. Click the link, get nothing. Would be nice if that functioned properly.

Hello, my suggestion for the app would be support for the homepage... I don't like going back and forth on my device from safari and back to the app just to see the homepage and forum discussion... If possible please upload this capability??

Wow, just found this. Nice app! I'll chime in with the requests for a Subscribed Threads function though, without that I think I'll end up using my subscribed threads bookmark for Chrome more than this.

Never used to have any issues but now it crashes upon 'Initializing'
So sad, TL app pretty much gets me through moments of boredom at Uni when games aren't a logical choice

Hi the app keeps crashing when I start it. It says "initializing" and crashes about 10 seconds later. I deleted the app and reinstalled it and the same issue occurs. Please fix it soon because it has caused me great stress. The convenience of the TL app was a source of comfort for me during times of stress and without it I feel a part of me is missing. Thank you

This app was awesome up until about 2 or so weeks ago when the app stopped working in my iPhone 5. I just open it and it immediately crashes. Any updates on this and is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I'm going to get this app. I'm so Ecstatic right now. Just successfully tracked down my iPhone using "find my iPhone" app. So happy I am going to donate to TL right now even though this app is free... Soooo happppppy. Pleas fellow iPhone users download and register your phone into "find my iPhone". It's simple and it is a massive help when you do something stupid such as leaving your phone in a women's bathroom...

I have an issue were most posts just say "error" at the top. And the ones that do load (like this thread) only show 1 -2 posts and doesn't show the original post at all
Is there any fixes for this.
