Seriously guys chromate has put ALOT of effort into putting this thing together

if you are considering going just do it i think people underestimate how much fun these things can be

Maybe if you arnt able to go but you have friends who might be interested just send them the thread ALOT of people don't read Teamliquid so all this thing is for people to spread the word

Just come out bring some friend and meet alot of new people who love the same game as you do

I will definitely be attending. $10 no problem. I'll see if I can bring my bud, and I can carpool other people. I'm in Oakville and have no problem driving as far as Hamilton/Brampton to pick up some people.

Watching the GSL finals is already amazing. Watching it with a hundred people around me cheering on as well? Fucking incredible.

Hah, wow.. that sounds like a crazy idea. I know this is SC2, but BW SPL is on too (not sure how the times would add up). Would love to see this on the big screen as well.

Anyway, it'd be the first time I've done anything like it and although I play BW, I still love watching SC2 competition! I live in London and have no transportation, but have no problem donating at least $10/$20.

I'll be there. It's going to be an awesome Saturday, because there's a 1v1 Lan going on at Happy Turbo the same day at 11.

I'll need lots of coffee to even hope of playing well. =D

Edit: I've got a suggestion for the first two hours... Since you have the premium service, show the replays for both semifinal matches. I'm sure there will be many people there who don't have the premium, and haven't seen the semis casted.

I watched a starcraft match live once.. back when the mbc center was at the COEX and my friends and I had some time before a movie. It was actually a lot of fun watching the games live. I think a lot of people underestimate the fun factor of having a bunch of people cheering with you. Enthusiasm is contagious when everybody gets into it. Although I live in Korea and would never be able to make this kind of event, if you love starcraft and live in the area, I would give it a try!

Hows the wifi situation looking chromate?If we can get some decent internet we can hold a mini tournament and maybe stream the event so if people can't make it they can watch

The more people we get for this GSL the better chance of making this a monthy thing(if people donate.)

THE EVENT IS NOW OFFICIAL, I have paid for the theater and have done all testing, the first post has been updated to not be an unreadable wall of text. wifi is there however I will be bringing a router and 24 port switch. I may be hosting a tournament before the show and we will only be watching the semi finals and finals there all else will be done from your home (more to come on that once I have decided). Let me reiterate please take a look at the first post again.

Sigh, the cinema is litterally next to my elementary school but i'd doubt my parents would let me go at those times T.T Sometimes it sucks to be 15

I say don't bother with paying the 5$ for the parking as the parking right outside the fence is free and i doubt many would be parking on that side of the road.

I actually went out there on Saturday at 2:00am just to make sure it was "safe" and found it was absolutely fine. Probably doesn't mean much to your parents but I do consider everyone's safety.

Awesome!!

I am still interested in a ride from London and I plan on bringing my laptop + keyboard. I'll grab several extra ethernet cables as well. They aren't extremely long, but a few decent ones.

I wish I had SC2 so I could maybe join in on a few fun games, but I'm definitely down for some BW.
