which one were you!
did i meet you?

Don't post in this thread to say "gay gamers are like everyone else, why do they have a special thread?" It is something that has been posted numerous times, and this isn't the place for that discussion. For regular posters, don't quote the trolls.

I would like to know why. If being gay can be loosely divided into 3 parts -- emotional, biological and cultural -- why do so many insist on such a forced and kinda weird culture? Most people are willing to act pretty weird in order to fit in. If they see their friends/other gay people acting like that, maybe they just think it's the way gay people are supposed to act?

Different people do different things, has nothing to do with being gay. well i went back and read through the thread and found mora's post regarding the behavior of gays, it's definitely a better answer than yours. Never thought about it in that way, though perhaps a bit melodramatic. as for the second one, man i have to tell you... being gay may have been anathema in times past but these days you can run into some confident, dominating gays... they're scary. I went through an experience with an older man where he was like trying to convince me to turn gay but i had no idea cuz i was 17 and he was saying all his explicitly sexual remarks in spanish. Once i found i punched him and quit my job tho... i have a friend who's going through something similar, he always gets hits on by gays and both of us find it fucking annoying because they're always trying to convince him and he's generally not an argumentative guy.

Like if I'm watching WCG Ultimate Gamer and I'm like "Damn look at them gunz," where does that fall? Is there I line between being attracted to men as a man and idolizing men as a man? In your opinion ofc ![]() That's such an odd way of thinking. Of course you can admire traits in other men without wanting to get on your knees and have them ram their cock down your throat. You can even admire physical traits. You're silly. The reason that I asked is that I was watching a special on PBS once where they were talking about the dichotomy of the homophobia in hip hop music and yet the over the top homo-erotisim (looking at half naked pictures of Fifty taking his belt off in hip hop magazines.) So up until then I always thought that my personal attraction to these kinds of ads (well maybe classier ones but still) as me being interested in men as well as women but after seeing that I wondered if it was just admiration.

Well just from that paragraph I'd say you could be sexually anything you want. I'm also going to assume that your hormones are out of control just like any other teenager so you could be totally straight but really really horny. On August 28 2010 03:39 APurpleCow wrote: Hi. What you find attractive/not-attractive will probably change quite a bit by the time you're 17 or 18.

What's the thought process on gay guys hitting on guys they know to be straight? I know it happens sometimes, and I have a friend that gets hit on quite a bit by a gay guy who knows my friend isn't gay. My friend is pretty conservative to begin with and this is making him really homophobic. I find it hilarious but I'm just wondering what the gay guy wants to get out of that. Like if I knew some hot chick was a lesbian I wouldn't waste a lot of time trying. I will occasionally hit on straight guys that i do not like to purposefully make them feel uncomfortable. There's something empowering about making straight guys feel the way women are made to feel. Especially being that you have that control over a straight guy. But i only do that when i'm drunk and am totally willing to get beaten up for doing so. In situations where i wish to avoid animosity, i would never hit on a straight guy who was made to feel uncomfortable by it, so i can not explain these others' motivations. You seem like a really cool guy Mora. I wanted to say one thing on this real quick. I'm a very very open minded straight guy but I think that hitting on someone to make them uncomfortable just isn't a good thing to do. You say that it is empowering to make straight guys feel the way women are made to feel (maybe you mean lesbian women which I will agree with doing if you know the guy has done it) but even though I'm a somewhat forward person and I can be very blunt I have a very very hard time addressing a nice girl whom I can't tell has an attraction for me or not for this very reason. I don't enjoy it when women whom I have told that I don't have an interest in continually hit on me just the same as I wouldn't enjoy a man hitting on me once they knew that I wasn't interested (honestly I've only dealt with the woman doing it). They really equally make me uncomfortable & annoyed. I'm sorry if this is kind of blabbering as I'm a little out of it at work but my point is that I don't think it is good to just say straight guys. Most people are assholes honestly and this is just one of those things that falls into something that usually happens but not always. I'm not offended or anything and again I think you're a damn cool person. Just wanted to throw that out there.
