My name is FrOsTy and I was wondering if anyone out there in any region (specifically L.A. for me) is going to have a Starcraft 2 launch party/Lan on or around July 27th. I am willing to help organize if anyone out here in this area wants to get 1 together. I think it would be great to meet a lot of the faces you see here in the TL community and what better place/time than an SC 2 launch party. DM me or comment if you have any plans on getting one together and want/need some help. Lets get this thing going.

I go to school here and have an internship planned for the summer.

Did you already preorder sc2? I have no intention of buying the game at launch. I know my friends are going to get it, and I'll just borrow it off them since none of them are by definition "hardcore." I know - shame on me.

Iirc they were some developers at the Fry's closest to me in Orange County for the release of the two WoW expansions so it's very possible they'll do that again.

I am in New Zealand, and this year my bf and I have decided to go to Blizzcon. The flights/accomodation have already been booked, so we're going regardless of whether I can get the event tickets or not. It'd be great if anyone wants to meet and/or show us around. I am very much not into "tourist" things so prefer not to prebook any 'adventures' via my travel centre, but rather check out the actual ways of the people there, which is why meeting some locals would be handy. Also you can tell me places to avoid. I'm a bit scared of getting shot O_O We'll be in LA (staying in Anaheim) 19-24 Oct, and in Las Vegas 24-26 Oct.

HDStarcraft had uploaded a video recently of a bay area one at a cyber cafe, which seems to work out pretty well:

Also speaking back to the Fry's devs. launch parties; has anyone heard anything about them? I know they had them for each WoW game and judging from the pictures it seems pretty awesome, and I can't see why they wouldn't have it for SC2. So anyone hear anything from Blizzard? Starcraft II's release date is about only a month away. I know that Gamestop and Best Buy are having some midnight launches, but that's quite different from one at Fry's with developers and 3k+ people (WoW).
