I have been taking 5000iu of VitD since you first mentioned it, perhaps 12-18 months ago. Upping to 10,000 a day if I had gone out drinking the night before or felt stress on my body.
Since then I have been sick twice. Once was in Nepal during my trekking trip, it was ridiculously cold and I ran out of VitD for the last week of the trip and more so recently my trip to the US, my diet was terrible, I doubt even VitD could have done anything for me.
The highest you can get in Australia is 1000ui caplets. The last time I bought some the chick at the health food store told me I should get blood work done when I asked her if they sold anything higher. Said if I have been taking 5000ui a day for such a long time I could be in serious trouble. Meh..
iherb looks awesome. 250 caplets of 1000ui VitD is $50 here. While I can get 360 x 5000ui for $15? Fuck me..
Going to give the site a crack, order some VitD, Zinc and Spirulina and see if it arrives.
On that note, I'm not sure if I asked this before. eshlow, do you have any thoughts or views on Spirulina?

Yeah, government RDA for vitamin D is waaaaay off as I stated in the article. We make upwards of 10,000 IU in 30 minutes in sunlight... so the fact that US recommendations are 400 IU per day is particularly confusing to me.
I've been on 10,000 IU per day for about a year now, and the only colds I've gotten have been a day or two (only a couple) and I caught them from people who were sick for at least a week. When I first got the supplement I had the flu and I took 20k IU and it went away in a day. It really does work especially consider most everyone is deficient.
Spirulina looks fairly legit given the source. There's a lot of things they manufacture from algae now anyway. I've never tried it, but I could ask around. What exactly would you be taking it for?

Too bad I didn't have it before. I'm starting to feel a little bit better after spending the last 32 hours in bed, but holy shit I was sick. I was shaking, sweating, and had pain all over my body.
I'm afraid that once the medicine I took wears off I'm going to feel like hell again.

Finally my cough for 3-4 weeks is starting to fade.
Reseted my squat to a 425 max for my workout got 10x 205,235,260,285,315 all at least parallel or better. Feels good to do weights you can get perfect form, i was trying to go too heavy while my squat was on the decline earlier. 5x5 @ 220 for bench, back to reppin 2 plates next time. Weight felt heavy but i moved it easy. Mind > Matter
[brag] Dunno why but i feel fucking awesome today. Trying to get my life back on a proper eating/sleeping/workout schedule if i can manage it with school. Something about getting laid, repping 315, driving home in my car in perfect weather + Show Spoiler [<3] + after winning our last game 50-0 + Show Spoiler [sexy legs] +, going to deadmau5 tomorrow, and heading into playoffs makes me feel as great as i did all summer I'm determined to win the game of life. Yesterday, my adductor hurt so much that I had to do Squats with like 80kg or some shit  Jesus christ I'm going to a doctor to see if this is just some resting injury or some shit. ;p. But yes, yesterday was more like a recovery session, since the day before (Thursday) there was this event at my gym where they went nutzo and gave like 2 hour session cardio, I wanted to die, and my legs were all sore today so yeh, maybe I did this to myself.!  don't worry man!; we got this bitch DOWN!. I just wanted to comment on the Vitamin D. I ordered the exact one recommended at the bottom of that article, for $25 from iherb including all costs and shipping for the 10,000 IU a day. I've been taking one pill a day, so 10,000 every morning and it's been about a week so far.
I don't wanna attribute it all to placebo but I have been feeling much more ' awake ' and have more energy. I already have a shitty sleep schedule as it is but I'm able to function for longer and concentrate more. This year has been incredibly shitty, probably the worst year of my life and for some reason I don't feel so down since taking the vitamin d. I don't really get sick that often as it is so not sure about that, but when I do get sick I get really sick so we'll see about that. It basically covers all the stuff in the article. Thanks a lot for that eshlow. Been taking fish oil for a while now too, but its just generic stuff I got from walmart.
As for my progress, I couldn't continue SS anymore due to financial troubles but I'm looking to start it up again with the new year perhaps. I keep up with this thread even though I don't post cuz I don't have time to work out really so its great to see the gains you guys make, keep it up!

I take it as a supplement of B vitamins and it seems rich in healthy fatty acids. But I mostly noticed very sustained energy levels when I take it, I guess it's due to the high amounts of B12.
Also.. it seems to keep my bowls quite clean, (sorry for the visual).

It was weird when i cut all summer because i wasnt really trying to it just happened. But its a great feeling to shed down to the <10 range. It feels good to know you're fucking huge and cut. But sadly i need to bulk up if i wanna throw on some serious muscle this off season. Congrats on breaking 400 man, that was a tough point for me to get through on both my squat and DL

Giving up dairy is going to destroy me, I drink at least 2 cappuccino a day, and it's not like I can use soy milk, the fucker said no legumes.
