Please remember that while this thread is for QQ and venting about the game, racism is not tolerated here on LD. |

Actually, if played right, Riki is a damn strong hero in Very High. I've had quite a bit of success with him as of late.
The player just has to remember that invisibility does not equal invincibility. And yes, people will carry at least dust and ward against a riki.

Heh sometimes I do that too. To be honest I don't even know why you should risk your hero when you have a free bear to deal damage. I don't go to bear form until later in the game, I get flamed a lot but I don't give a fuck, I'm not giving up my movespeed and range to be a fat bear

Just yesterday an alch went max rage mode at me on pl for not tping in to fight at t1 towers by 7min when I was being ganked a lot and was behind. Like u can't explain that carries needs items to fight, they honestly think ure full of shit when u say it. He went rage emo and farmed our woods while they took our first rax quoting me when asked to come defend. Then at 30m and they are ending the stomp and I am 1 7 12 due to joining teamfights too early so I have only just gotten diffusal, then I get flamed for having no items, with a team that wouldn't let me farm for over a minute before demanding and flaming me to take dumb teamfights. Fuck logic. From my experience it's actually a lot more common to find carries who can't distinguish when to fight or farm, or recognize situations where the team needs them to contribute early. They blind farm big items while oblivious to the fact that it's possible to fight on a carry without having a lot of items. Then when the team gets destroyed (while they farm ofc) and the other carry snowballs off all the kills, they blame their team for fighting 4v5 and feeding, not recognizing that the disadvantage is in large part due to the fact that they went for a greedy as hell farming build. I always cringe when our lanes are pressured, our towers being pushed and the enemy constantly 5 manning... then I click my carry's inventory and see he's rushing radiance on Spectre, brown boots ---> battlefury on AM, Helm first on Luna, or max greevil's greed on Alchemist. I've played with so many people who fail to recognize that there are situations as a carry where you have to make concessions for your team. Yes you can "just stop 4v5", but against an aggressive enough team that might leave you with no towers, no map control, no ability to contest rosh and much less farming space. This is so true. Im not sure if people dont get the idea of "greedy play" as opposed to farming early midgame fighting items (drums, phase, armlets, etc) or if its just that they think that you're always supposed to play like that no matter what on certain heroes. But I've seen thing like thathappen sooooo many times. Some examples off the top of my head: - Carry getting midas before boots in tri vs trilane. - Us having AM + jungling druid. That could of course work if AM gets fat. Druid proceeds to go double midas, effectively making us 3v5 until like 25-30min. - Plenty of jungler+carry or mid+carry getting midas both of them, sometimes even from disadvantageous laning stages. - Carries never helping defending towers. Sure farming might seem like a good idea, but people just seem to not realize whats gonna happen with their farm when mid+safelane t1's are gone and t2's being pressured and our jungle is now their jungle. Where are they gonna farm then? And thats all in very high mmr. While i have no stats to back up this claim, Im pretty sure AM is one of the lowest win % heroes in my games. Every time I get one in my team towers seem to go down left and right while AM with his late BF desperately works towards his manta without fighting once. And when he's forced to fight for our t3's its already lost. Same story when I face AM, just usually roll over them midgame. AM players around my mmr simply. Does. Not. Fight. Sometimes I wonder why people even want to play that hero since most of the times it feels like winning games are 99% due to the remaining 4 pretty much 4v5'ing the other team. Whats the fun in coming in at the 30min mark when your team already won the game for you and snatch a few kills by diving their base and fountain? Shoutout to the AM who was 0-0-1 at 30min (yes, I checked) and when I kind of sarcastically suggested "maybe we should just go push base and win" (we had taken all outer towers and had a huge snowballing sb killing anything he wanted) he replied: "just wait until I finish my butterfly". I dont really get how he gets satisfaction by being carried like that. Is it the GPM at the scoreboard people are looking for? To be fair the strenght of AM is his ability to farm, if you go battlefury and try to join you'll throw the game even if you had a really early battlefury. You need to split push though and put pressure that way though.
I've had a 14-15 minute battlefury before today and then been demanded at the 16th minute "come teamfight!!!!! omg noob going off farming a lane gg" -_-
I like AM as a hero but by god does my team try to throw hard when I play him; awful winrate. Same goes for Puck. I've rarely had a truly "bad" game as Puck compared to some of the heroes I've played (my first time as Pudge I was terrible, for example) but my winrate is awful.

Yesterday, in the dire safe lane. Playing Rubic, supporting a level 4 lifestealer. It was time to make something happen, to go for that kill on PA. We agree to go for the glory over voice chat. I get into position, get off the sweet lift and then....
Lifesteal: "Whoa, what, lion is right there!"
And PA falls to the ground, Lion nukes my level 3 ass down and we give them first blood. Seriously, fuck carrys that are such candy asses. Go big or go home, and don't hang me out to dry.

Riki is just fine in "very high." You just have to know how to play him. He's quite good in lane with a good support, actually, or even with a tri-lane.

I did that once before, I was going to build an armlet as sven if I'm not mistaken, so I bought the helmet for the regen and armor vs a weaver, I ended up skipping the armlet and made a MoM, so I had a random helm for the entire match duration.
It's actually pretty good, you become immune to harass

I've had a 14-15 minute battlefury before today and then been demanded at the 16th minute "come teamfight!!!!! omg noob going off farming a lane gg" -_- I like AM as a hero but by god does my team try to throw hard when I play him; awful winrate. Same goes for Puck. I've rarely had a truly "bad" game as Puck compared to some of the heroes I've played (my first time as Pudge I was terrible, for example) but my winrate is awful. I'm exactly like you on this one. I play great AM, getting sick farm. I also play a beastly Puck, I'm never in the negative with KDA ratio with puck, but i still have 1-6 in wins with puck. I never had negative KDA with any hero! + Show Spoiler +Because KDA = (kills+assists)/deaths and thus bigger or equal to 0 at all time Yeah ur right I meant KD :3
Im pretty sure the same applies:D (he was just messing with you about KDA/KD not technically being negative, but we all knew what you meant so I'll tell him to stop picking on you. STAHP)

Some games are good. Some games are bad.
And some games...seriously just can't stand to be in. I've had a really long and tiring day at work. I do NOT need some dumbass DK (who bought Soul Ring first despite the fact I'm on KotL) whining that I'm NOT nuking the lane down because he wants us to just keep pushing for..."reasons" I guess? Then the snarky comments about "first time KotL?" and constantly whining at me to illuminate them. Pinging constantly. Whining. Giving orders.
SHUT...THE...HELL...UP. -_-
