Self QQ: I am such a noob.... I didn't know you could buy slippers in side shop. I found out yesterday (ive been playing dota since 6.27) that I could buy em there. I was a bit on the high side and thought to myself "did i get pooled a slipper or what is this`?"

annoyed that I had a teammate that was so bad, that we actually would've been better off without him. Went safelane WR, contested Alch's farm (Alch still finished with 900gpm though), had Phase, Orchid, Bloodstone at 50 minutes. Did I mention that we didn't really need a silence on anyone from the other team?
an actual liability

If you're a dick about something you want done and tell me to "buy wards because you're useless" when your stack isn't doing much either I will proceed to mute you and not buy wards.
Especially when it's all random mode. Like seriously you don't play this to win.

allways play to win, but there is a diffrence between playing to win and being an ass. people like that just makes you not want to play at all, sucks the fun out of the game.

Random draft, we get some pretty good first 3 heroes zeus, aba, me as PL. what do the last 2 pick? riky martin and russianseeker. both go bot and fight each other for the lane and farm and hang each other out to dry. Like jesus.
unholy grail of dota heroes: riki bs drow sniper. god anyone who plays them must be trying to win biggest retard award or something

Sniper's a real hero

Played all random. Got Io. My teammates said I had to repick even though we had a Tiny. Hit repick.

I also just learned this about last week. Got a quick first blood and wanted a poor man's shield, decided to try the side shop and it worked.

The solution to this problem is to "accidentally" get od in the chrono.
Astral, disrupt, sprout and the mother of them all, song, are among the most annoying skills to have a bad teammate use. At least people wasting their stuns into a blackhole don't actually stop the hole doing anything.

Playing solo when the rest of your team is a stack sucks. The stack will generally play better anyway cause they're coordinating with each other while you're on your own
|
Spirit Breaker starts off with boots first... because apparently movement speed helps you to lane better. We could have killed Rubick if you had more HP and weren't such a dumbass laner who had to return to base twice in the early game. I was glad you fucking died. Also you're telling me I'm going to die while we're pushing when I'm in front trying to bait the one hero there and I know the other team is split up leaving the tier 2 exposed. Your dumbass charges into 2 or 3 of them wasn't smart either and you're telling me I'm going to die. I should have told the other team to harass this dumbshit who thinks he can tell me how to play in the early game... Should have known he was a scrub because his most played heroes were pubstompers...

But MM will match you with possible better opponent because of the stack. Then stack blames you for their lack of skill lawl.

I feel you, but try to stick with em and try reading out their thoughts and actions. Shouldn't be that hard to figure out what they're thinking if they aren't complete nutjobs.
When I stack with my friends, we're usually just 3 people playing but we always talk with our team in voice chat.

but then my teammates just fight 4v5 because: "what else are we suppose to do, you're just farming" This is the story of my dota pubs since I mainly play carries. Just yesterday an alch went max rage mode at me on pl for not tping in to fight at t1 towers by 7min when I was being ganked a lot and was behind. Like u can't explain that carries needs items to fight, they honestly think ure full of shit when u say it. He went rage emo and farmed our woods while they took our first rax quoting me when asked to come defend. Then at 30m and they are ending the stomp and I am 1 7 12 due to joining teamfights too early so I have only just gotten diffusal, then I get flamed for having no items, with a team that wouldn't let me farm for over a minute before demanding and flaming me to take dumb teamfights. Fuck logic. From my experience it's actually a lot more common to find carries who can't distinguish when to fight or farm, or recognize situations where the team needs them to contribute early. They blind farm big items while oblivious to the fact that it's possible to fight on a carry without having a lot of items. Then when the team gets destroyed (while they farm ofc) and the other carry snowballs off all the kills, they blame their team for fighting 4v5 and feeding, not recognizing that the disadvantage is in large part due to the fact that they went for a greedy as hell farming build. I always cringe when our lanes are pressured, our towers being pushed and the enemy constantly 5 manning... then I click my carry's inventory and see he's rushing radiance on Spectre, brown boots ---> battlefury on AM, Helm first on Luna, or max greevil's greed on Alchemist. I've played with so many people who fail to recognize that there are situations as a carry where you have to make concessions for your team. Yes you can "just stop 4v5", but against an aggressive enough team that might leave you with no towers, no map control, no ability to contest rosh and much less farming space. This is so true. Im not sure if people dont get the idea of "greedy play" as opposed to farming early midgame fighting items (drums, phase, armlets, etc) or if its just that they think that you're always supposed to play like that no matter what on certain heroes. But I've seen thing like thathappen sooooo many times. Some examples off the top of my head: - Carry getting midas before boots in tri vs trilane. - Us having AM + jungling druid. That could of course work if AM gets fat. Druid proceeds to go double midas, effectively making us 3v5 until like 25-30min. - Plenty of jungler+carry or mid+carry getting midas both of them, sometimes even from disadvantageous laning stages. - Carries never helping defending towers. Sure farming might seem like a good idea, but people just seem to not realize whats gonna happen with their farm when mid+safelane t1's are gone and t2's being pressured and our jungle is now their jungle. Where are they gonna farm then? And thats all in very high mmr. While i have no stats to back up this claim, Im pretty sure AM is one of the lowest win % heroes in my games. Every time I get one in my team towers seem to go down left and right while AM with his late BF desperately works towards his manta without fighting once. And when he's forced to fight for our t3's its already lost. Same story when I face AM, just usually roll over them midgame. AM players around my mmr simply. Does. Not. Fight. Sometimes I wonder why people even want to play that hero since most of the times it feels like winning games are 99% due to the remaining 4 pretty much 4v5'ing the other team. Whats the fun in coming in at the 30min mark when your team already won the game for you and snatch a few kills by diving their base and fountain? Shoutout to the AM who was 0-0-1 at 30min (yes, I checked) and when I kind of sarcastically suggested "maybe we should just go push base and win" (we had taken all outer towers and had a huge snowballing sb killing anything he wanted) he replied: "just wait until I finish my butterfly". I dont really get how he gets satisfaction by being carried like that. Is it the GPM at the scoreboard people are looking for? To be fair the strenght of AM is his ability to farm, if you go battlefury and try to join you'll throw the game even if you had a really early battlefury. You need to split push though and put pressure that way though. I've had a 14-15 minute battlefury before today and then been demanded at the 16th minute "come teamfight!!!!! omg noob going off farming a lane gg" -_- I like AM as a hero but by god does my team try to throw hard when I play him; awful winrate. Same goes for Puck. I've rarely had a truly "bad" game as Puck compared to some of the heroes I've played (my first time as Pudge I was terrible, for example) but my winrate is awful. I'm exactly like you on this one. I play great AM, getting sick farm. I also play a beastly Puck, I'm never in the negative with KD ratio with puck, but i still have 1-6 in wins with puck.
To be honest my AM is pretty average. I have good games and bad games. Sometimes I get a 15 minute battlefury, other times I'm still frantically trying to farm it at 25 minutes. But it seems that no matter how well or badly I play my team wins or loses based on whether they throw. The exception was when I managed to solo win a base-race just one time ages ago.
My Puck on the other hand isn't bad, at least in my opinion compared to my other heroes. Don't even know what to do about that.

I tend to dislike muting people to be honest in case they say something slightly useful.
Obligatory QQ: Last night was just absurd. Apart from that KotL game I had: - Game as QOP where my team would either initiate badly or just not initiate at all which meant I'd have to blink in to initiate and get instagibbed.
- Game as Venge which we won but was unbelievably annoying. Drunken Peruvian Clockwerk yelling through his mic. First about how he needs ganks top lane (we were running a sick trilane with Sven/Venge/Lich against a solo Broodmother, must have killed her half a dozen times, but still forced to go top to shut clock up); then later on about mana boots. Then him and Razor start yelling about how I'm not supporting despite Courier/Upgrade/Wards/Sentries/etc simply because I wasn't prepared to sell my treads (bought at agonising expense) for mana boots. In fairness the guy apologised and explained he was drunk a little later but still I was on the verge of just saying "screw it" and going carry build.
- Second game as Venge. I play position 5 and baby my Antimage quite well I felt. Team feeds hard mid and bottom. Despite literally constantly sacrificing myself for my team, swapping guys out to safety, I somehow manage to end up with less deaths than either our mid SF or offlane Gyro.
- Final game of the night as Axe. I'm solo against Pugna/AA and do ok. Trade 2-2 in kills. I'll take that. Then team starts grouping up to take fights so I'm initiating...and they're never there to follow through. Ever. I die horribly. Ok fine. Our jungle Lifestealer (despite the fact he was our hardest carry) spends the whole game yelling at the team "omg team noob", "fail team" and calling gg every two minutes or so. We actually won this game off the back of a farmed Naix because they just left him to jungle midas but that was more because the other team ALSO had internal problems (DP arguing with Tiny) so it was basically a competition of which team is the less dysfunctional rather than an actual team game of DOTA2.
Edit:

I find chronosphere to be up there too. Few abilities are as good at getting your entire team killed as a bad chronosphere.
As a minor boast though...I'm actually 9-3 on Void and 10-2 on Naga so I guess I usually know when to time them. >_>
