Last night a bit of my soul died.
Game 1: -ar I random windrunner my buddy something shit that he wasn't so good at so he repicked. Gets meepo. He can't pay it at all so I swap. The problem was that someone had prophet, so I couldn't split jungle at lvl 6. So there I am safe lane with my buddy vs a solo disruptor. I have 2 meepos. So my buddy comes from the fog and gets a good shackle off that latches but at the same time gets glimpsed back. So I keep hitting the dude alone but he gets a full combo of on me with nuke wall ulti on my 50% hp meepo but I manage to get him down to 13 hp. He literally needs 1 hit to die. He had no choice but to run through out jungle So I ping the prophet to just go hit the Fucker one time and get the kill, or just sprout him so that wr can. Nope selects all units and runs away so disruptor can escape. I just abandoned.
Game 2 our idiot timbersaw sd lane feed 6 kills under the tower the the mid morph. They then flame me for not calling missing. No matter how much I try to explain to these people how replicate work, the more they burn brain cells. During all this our bounty hunter maxed invis and complains they are too tank while trying to make a battlefury.
Game 3 I random cm my friend randoms pugna. Other Picks are jugg then void then dk. So logic tells me dk should mid, pug/jug top and cm void bot. Nope. This idiot dk goes bot with void. We all spam ping the guy type and voice chat for him to go mid. Not a word from the dumb fuck. It forces me to go mid vs sniper and the void makes the logical choice and goes to jungle instead of competing for creeps with an auto attacking dk. So I get fb and a few kills on sniper mid thanks to good rotation by pugna. During that same time dk feeds 6 kills in 10 mins. And eventually ends the game with 2 bracers, treads and morbid mask.
Side qq. I can't watch reps of games I've casted. Riot fix

I have 17 games as Chen. So far, FOUR of them have had people that follow exactly this formula :
1. Don't pick your hero until everyone else has picked their hero (so WELL after I've picked chen) 2. Pick a hero that would fare well enough in an available lane. 3. Never ever, under any circumstance, attempt to communicate ANYTHING. Typing, speaking and pinging are all not allowed. 4. Go to the woods.
...
ASOIGJAOSJTOAISGNKLAMWL:A. DUDE. All I want to do is practice Chen so I can not suck a bag of grapes with him, but more than 20% of my games as Chen have people that want to share the woods with me? Seems legit, thanks for never voicing your intentions.
Bonus points go to the Doom who ran up to to my large camp stack (the one far from him that he wasn't farming) that I was actively tornadoing with a 200hp wildkin and DEVOURING A LARGE CREEP FROM IT (because it wasn't -already- going to die) which in turn aggros the camp on to my 200hp wildkin, which now can't actually kill anything from that camp because its FUCKING DEAD.

Also you're telling me I'm going to die while we're pushing when I'm in front trying to bait the one hero there and I know the other team is split up leaving the tier 2 exposed. Your dumbass charges into 2 or 3 of them wasn't smart either and you're telling me I'm going to die. I should have told the other team to harass this dumbshit who thinks he can tell me how to play in the early game... Should have known he was a scrub because his most played heroes were pubstompers... Spirit breaker is pretty much becoming one of those heroes that, despite having a high winrate, is gonna be played by idiotic players who tends to be like "imma win becuase he's ez!!!111" and feed the whole time.
god, I hate spirit breakers who maxes out empowering haste first and don't even gank at all, and then proceeds to jungle while leaving your support who can't survive soloing offlane alone to be killed by a trilane. gotta love pubs.
At least, I'm starting to win against spirit breaker pickers now these days due to having a treant protector and having that said breaker being a complete idiot

All my games today have been shit. Either people last picking a hero who we didn't need and feeding or a team full stacked of ruskies.
Very nice.

I had a furion in my game who literally cliff jungled until he had lvl3 dagon. Then he just sat in the fountain for the rest of the game and would only TP in for kill steals, then TP back to fountain with a TP scroll and wait for his next opportunity.

matchmaking is sooooooooooo fuckign bad......fuck it.
after they changed it a while back its was totally fine and then they changed it back at some point without mentioning it anywhere and its the same stupid shit as it was before.
mass noobs, feeder, stupid last picks, no teamfight or any sense of strategie. its fucking discussting. i should be in high/very high not in this stupid shithole

Just played my first CD game. There was Wisp and SB on the pool and no one picked or banned either. My captain second picked Slardar.
Yep, back to AP.
On a side note, does MMR decay over time ? I didn't play for 1,5 month and it seems all my games now are with extra retarded people.

Just yesterday an alch went max rage mode at me on pl for not tping in to fight at t1 towers by 7min when I was being ganked a lot and was behind. Like u can't explain that carries needs items to fight, they honestly think ure full of shit when u say it. He went rage emo and farmed our woods while they took our first rax quoting me when asked to come defend. Then at 30m and they are ending the stomp and I am 1 7 12 due to joining teamfights too early so I have only just gotten diffusal, then I get flamed for having no items, with a team that wouldn't let me farm for over a minute before demanding and flaming me to take dumb teamfights. Fuck logic. From my experience it's actually a lot more common to find carries who can't distinguish when to fight or farm, or recognize situations where the team needs them to contribute early. They blind farm big items while oblivious to the fact that it's possible to fight on a carry without having a lot of items. Then when the team gets destroyed (while they farm ofc) and the other carry snowballs off all the kills, they blame their team for fighting 4v5 and feeding, not recognizing that the disadvantage is in large part due to the fact that they went for a greedy as hell farming build. I always cringe when our lanes are pressured, our towers being pushed and the enemy constantly 5 manning... then I click my carry's inventory and see he's rushing radiance on Spectre, brown boots ---> battlefury on AM, Helm first on Luna, or max greevil's greed on Alchemist. I've played with so many people who fail to recognize that there are situations as a carry where you have to make concessions for your team. Yes you can "just stop 4v5", but against an aggressive enough team that might leave you with no towers, no map control, no ability to contest rosh and much less farming space. This is so true. Im not sure if people dont get the idea of "greedy play" as opposed to farming early midgame fighting items (drums, phase, armlets, etc) or if its just that they think that you're always supposed to play like that no matter what on certain heroes. But I've seen thing like thathappen sooooo many times. Some examples off the top of my head: - Carry getting midas before boots in tri vs trilane. - Us having AM + jungling druid. That could of course work if AM gets fat. Druid proceeds to go double midas, effectively making us 3v5 until like 25-30min. - Plenty of jungler+carry or mid+carry getting midas both of them, sometimes even from disadvantageous laning stages. - Carries never helping defending towers. Sure farming might seem like a good idea, but people just seem to not realize whats gonna happen with their farm when mid+safelane t1's are gone and t2's being pressured and our jungle is now their jungle. Where are they gonna farm then? And thats all in very high mmr. While i have no stats to back up this claim, Im pretty sure AM is one of the lowest win % heroes in my games. Every time I get one in my team towers seem to go down left and right while AM with his late BF desperately works towards his manta without fighting once. And when he's forced to fight for our t3's its already lost. Same story when I face AM, just usually roll over them midgame. AM players around my mmr simply. Does. Not. Fight. Sometimes I wonder why people even want to play that hero since most of the times it feels like winning games are 99% due to the remaining 4 pretty much 4v5'ing the other team. Whats the fun in coming in at the 30min mark when your team already won the game for you and snatch a few kills by diving their base and fountain? Shoutout to the AM who was 0-0-1 at 30min (yes, I checked) and when I kind of sarcastically suggested "maybe we should just go push base and win" (we had taken all outer towers and had a huge snowballing sb killing anything he wanted) he replied: "just wait until I finish my butterfly". I dont really get how he gets satisfaction by being carried like that. Is it the GPM at the scoreboard people are looking for? To be fair the strenght of AM is his ability to farm, if you go battlefury and try to join you'll throw the game even if you had a really early battlefury. You need to split push though and put pressure that way though.
Well the point is you have to be able to distinguish when you can and can't afford to build greedy. AM can contribute (altho not optimally) if you rush items like treads, drums, yasha, vanguard, and skill your passives instead of going 1-4-1. A lot of times the antimage bitching about his team expecting him to fight with brown boots and battlefury had no business rushing a battlefury in the first place.
AM's kind of an extreme example, but even on heroes like gyro or lifestealer I see a lot of people rushing items like midas or HotD when they should be trying to fight.
|
With AM you have to joing fights even if you are going for Battlefury build. Mana void does so much damage if used correctly and your right clicks hurt a lot too. You just have to be smart and not jump in first, but wait for the first barrage of nukes to be casted.

God, Midas rushers are the worst kind of players, they just build it all the time, every time, before boots, regardless of the lane or the overall team makeups or if its 6th or 16th minute and then try to blame everyone else when it was obvious since the first creep wave, that the enemy will just not give them 30 minutes of free farm, closely followed by radiance "rushes," and then of course, there are those combo-players on LD and doom that go ~12 minute midas ~25 minute relic, ~30 minute lost throne.
Also alchemists that max greed first, even when enemy lane just isnt gonna allow them lasthit much are in a category of their own.
Just stop beeing greedy fucks and accept the fact, that you will not have your precious 800 gpm this game, because enemy will obliterate your base if you dont build actually some useful, fight oriented items.

Man my best is trying to find a game. Currently on 25 min looking and counting............................................

Gather around kids, let uncle sera tell you about this weird story about his first game in 2 week time.
Uncle Sera randomed Kunnka, fuck yeah, np, he'll just play like Singsing and win the easiest game of his life. Some sad person (i'll explain to you why later) last picked Bara, bought QB and go safelane straight away.
No problem, Uncle Sera said, he would go hardlane and still own everything!!! Friend told me this is on page10 and this Bara has 4600+ hours played, and he actually managed to 1v2 well!!!
And somehow Uncle Sera managed to get lothar at 11mins (not sure with half a phaseboots or full phaseboots, the idea was that we got firstblood and Uncle Sera was saying maybe he could go naked lothar at 10min) with 1 death by using his amazing ganking and farming skills (started from hardlane with SK, good combo we said).
And then this sad Bara might be high or he got a screw inside his brain, charging to hero that he couldn't kill (like Storm), when we said let's just gather up and we would finish the game straight away. He bought 2 or 3 Bracers with Treads and it was about time the team noticed there is something wrong with this player.
And then he proceed to sell everything and buy sentry/cour in base and start to feed nonstop (end game score 3/23/8!!!!!).
BUT, the twist of the night is that we were winning 4v6 (literally, 4v6, because Uncle Sera is awesome and more importantly we got Furi the rat dota bro). Did Uncle Sera forget to mention that Bara even feed 2 Gems to the enemies. Enemy Bot T3+raxes were down, mid T3 was gone.
It was team effort, and due to the enemy stupid line up (mostly lategame heroes) and maybe, it was because Uncle Sera keep saying: 'Guys we can win this shit, we have furi', Zeus was pretty mad at Bara but he was willing to cooperate.
'Bara I beg you this is my first game in the past 2 weeks, please don't ruin my game like this'. At that stage nobody is hoping him to play for us but at least if he would stop feeding...
Sometimes you do wonder what kind of human being can do something like that. I am sorry Albanian but I will forever this first Albanian I have encountered on internet.
Well then in the end we lost because some mistakes here and there, first SK messing around at the mid T3 and then zeus was getting impatience. But still, with that sad Bara hardcore feeding.
Uncle Sera was sad.
http://dotabuff.com/matches/324797970 + Show Spoiler +
edit: OMFG friend told me bara fed 2 gems and it is in the end game scoreboard.
And this game will forever be a nightmare to me, firstly it reminded me of how quite a number of games HoN I have experienced similar to that (jesus christ D , and secondly I'd kill to get back to my desktop, using other's to play is a pain in ass (not that i am being ungrateful etc, it just feels shit especially when you lose).

Hatchet Stout Shield Storm Spirit.... and he was friends with someone I knew.... wtf WHY DO I KNOW THESE PEOPLE?

What's the worst run you've ever had? I'm right in the middle of mine: 12-28 in my last 40 games. Win one, lose four, win one, lose three, win one, lose four, etc., etc. Unbearable.

that happens to me a lot. I've started abandoning games now, cause fuck it.. not worth my time. Getting put in the penalty box for a day is ok, compared to the shitty games I'm having. The losses wouldn't suck so much if most of them weren't the other team winning early, then farming til max level/6 slots and then when they've pushed a lane or two in they camp the fountain for a few minutes to top it off. Game fucking needs a surrender function, it really, really does
|
I just keep thinking "mathematically, it has to eventually even out.....right?" Maybe someone on MY team chooses Bara? Or the feeders are on the other side? But, nope. Loss, loss, loss.
Super fun update: 2 more losses since posting. Abandonment on my team and a 2-13 venomancer. How is one to enjoy dota?
|
Game completely craps out on me. I don't know what the fuck was happening, but I kept getting disconnected. Disconnects happened RIGHT as the other team was rotating to gank, as well...
Oh, and I just so happened to be the safelane carry. I just apologized and took the abandon.
How the fuck am I supposed to get better at the game if I can't even play it?
|
how to have fun while losing: just have fun. If you're in an unwinnable game, just have fun in making a sick play or annoying the other team as much as possible. When all our buildings are down and the enemies are fucking around I just use a smoke and go jungle until they finish :|
Sera: if you were true singsing you needed 2 more divines
|
Dude feeds while blaming team, and claims this is his first game he's lost in the last 30 games. Obviously we know it's false, but ask him to prove it. Of course he keeps his profile private and claims "Noobs don't deserve to view my profile xD."
@ Burning Sera
Damn, just like this game I had previously I QQ'd about as well. The covert troll is what I call them. Strong in patience, and very very twisted in the mind. He waits till you are on the edge of winning, and plays like a normal player. Then reveals himself when victory is in sight xD.
