Last pick after 20 seconds- Qop. "I mid" *pings repeatedly at sf* ME: "you last pick and want solo mid? are you fucking super cereal?" Qop: "stfu noob" You know a game is going to be good when it starts with a flamewar before creeps spawn. For the record we lost in a disgustingly bad game- me and my friend did our best to play support for these pub retards, but they just gave kill after kill to the enemy carries. Especially Qop who rambo blinks in and blames us for not supporting (including not using a Warlock ultimate on one hero, when the enemy team is sticking around)

DS was really good, living armor is stupid, and the enemy team wasn't very good. i just afk stacked and pulled while casting living armor off cooldown.

However, when the game starts, with Slark having already chosen mid both Rubick and Warlock head to the offlane. I question the choice of having our two ranged support-capable heroes lane together, and Centaur also heads bot while asking the Rubick to change lane. The end result is that we're now running an aggressive trilane. I figure it's alright, they have an Enchantress and an Ursa so they should only have a solo offlaner and I'll be fine. I go against Ursa 1v1. I'm not saying I played perfect, in fact I'm sure I should've gotten more cs in lane. I'm not so great at last hitting because, again, I usually play supports. I do get a solokill on Ursa though, and some decent farm. In the meantime, the rest of my team is getting beaten to a bloody pulp. In fact, at 10 minutes into the game, the enemy Riki (who was on the safelane with Lina supporting and Ench in the jungle) is at 6-0-1 and apparently enjoying relatively free farm. Their Gyro mid has also killed Slark twice and completely won the lane. The Ursa has died a couple of times but still has some decent farm. So in essence, we've traded freefarm for two carries and Ench farming the jungle for a relatively well-off PL and an underleveled and underfarmed midgame team. In the end I go 3-1-9, I'm the highest level hero on the map, and though my farm isn't exactly stellar I've managed to get Treads/Aquila/Diffusal/hp booster/yasha up at 30 minutes into the game with basically no support at all. The Slark in the meanwhile is sitting pretty at 2/14/5, with the rest of the team not far behind. We try our best to defend our base, but though I'm running them around and killing off the supports I can't actually stop their carries from just taking our rax and at two lanes down we just call the gg. It's just so bloody frustrating to have these games where you feel like you do everything more or less right, but you still have absolutely no chance because the enemy team has three fed carries and the rest of your team has nothing. I had more last hits than any of their carries despite being boxed into our base for good periods of time because of Riki, but every last player on their team had more gpm than me because they'd just killed my teammates over and over and over again. It was SD, one guy instalocks Slark, I give my options out as Jakiro or PL depending on whether we need support or a carry. Surprisingly enough with the other three people showing Rubick, Warlock and Centaur it actually looks like I'll be playing carry, which is rare because I generally always pick to suit the team and therefore end up supporting the vast majority of the time. However, when the game starts, with Slark having already chosen mid both Rubick and Warlock head to the offlane. In those situations, if you still feel like playing the game out, or otherwise tryharding, then you need to mitigate the damage by preventing your teammates from tilting and throwing harder. It would be nearly impossible to come back after you lose (to some degree) all three lanes, but if it does happen, it would be because there was a strong leader who kept the team's heads in the game while the winning team gets cocky and starts throwing the game with bad plays. Best of luck in your future comebacks!

Best of luck in your future comebacks! Sounds reasonable. As I said, it wasn't too bad for my mental state because nobody raged and I'm really not the type to start flaming people for not playing well if they don't start blaming others. You're probably right in that I should have tried to do something earlier, I was basically in the mindset of "I'm PL, I can carry any game, just gotta get farmed" until they started pushing our T3s, at which point it was impossible to fight them. Sure it would've cost me a lot of farm to TP to bot and try to get a good fight and get Riki killed before he hit 6, but I should've recognised that we weren't gonna win that game on my back when they had such good heroes to counter me in the midgame (Riki makes splitpushing very dangerous, and Gyro has so much aoe I'd need at least a HoT before I can keep an illusion army alive in a teamfight). I obviously still don't blame myself for the loss, but it's always useful to try and figure out what you could've done better, even when you play well. EDIT: I just realised you didn't really say the things I was responding to, my excuse is that it's very late here. But yeah, I've had epic comeback games before, and the common theme in all of them has been that the team doesn't give up and doesn't stop playing together just because we're getting stomped early.

We finished the game leading by 15 kills but unable to push for the win. Fuck disconnecters, and fuck idiotic trashcan retard-proof heroes and combos.

So I decided to choose gyro this time after picking ds, lina, sd, and alch throughout this whole week. I end up losing the game with gyro going 11-7, but let me tell u how many fails in that game that make people like myself want to bitch about allies and type all chat in much they suck: -Doom jungling instead of laning, and doing it for like half the game in the first 25 minutes (did not even gank at times when doom was off cooldown, while stating he had no mana because he kept using scorched earth) -No one bought an Urn of Shadows the entire game -DS, clockwerk, and Silencer stopped buying wards after the first 1/4 of the game, so I had to buy wards one time and then DS asks why did I buy it (being frustrated we were losing, I just told them because they suck just to vent) -One of Doom's items he farmed up, was a Halberd (WHY?!??) -Silencer and DS both build Mek (I can somewhat live with this, if we were winning and they both were warding as well) -DS and Clockwerk both get Pipe of Insight (my favourite qq, no communication entire game, Clock just lol's after I point out they both have Pipe end game) -A 6-12 silencer, 1-7 DS.... most of their deaths being caught because we had no vision Yea fuck this, how does matchmaking still pit me with allies who have 0 basic game knowledge in this game... HOW???

How many games has it been since I have not been playing 1-protect-4? Just finished one where I first picked warlock, and my team went: puck, bristleback, spectre, am Turns out all of them were rambo masters too. Fuck my dota 2 life.

You're undefeated in your recent bot games, so there's that haha. I know how you feel, it's hard for us support-pickers. Just do the best you can and the wins will come!!! Oh, my qq is that I get a BSOD almost every time I play DotA, so I'm afraid to public match make cause I don't want to ruin the games of others. First I had school internet that gave me 600-700 ping on US EAST, then I graduate and my computer can no longer handle anything other than the occasional DotA game, SNES roms, and Civ 5. I've gotten really good at last hitting vs. the comp in mid, but its just not the same haha.
