I know Dota has too many factors for matchmaking to be successful, but when I'm teamed up with a PA that has freefarm and ends the game at 35 minutes with a poor man shield and phase boots, I'm allowed to QQ that my team wasn't up to par. If you feel the PA honestly doesn't seem to know that last hitting is important on a carry, you can go ahead and tell the player that, hoping to make them better, but honestly, the odds of that being the case is very low. Personally, I don't bother. I focus on my own play and what I do wrong, which is more than enough to keep me occupied. If other people play badly, that's their business. Oldschool Veno carry build. Lothar --> Aghanim --> Crit. Sometimes they opt to leave out Lothar and get Aghanim right away.
So I Swapped a Tidehunter just as our Nyx Assassin casted his impale on him. Our Nyx was hella mad but being the great support that I was (hell, the only items I got where phase boots and urn and force staff cuz of warding), he let it go. Needless to say, our team got obliterated bad. Well we ended up winning anyway.

Make it into "high" bracket after playing a ton and getting lucky with teams actually being decent for a bit.
Play like 3 games with a friend who is really bad and cannot carry him up enough which is w.e I was just having fun
next 15 games my team is awful. nobody speaks english, never engage or farm well when I am support and the other team completely is able to lock me down when I am carry because they carry all the right items and me team stands there. I hate the dota 2 matchmaking system right now. premade or die

tried out solo q, so i ended up with a bloodseeker who maxed silence...but silenced himself...again lina, qop, dk, lion and alch....he never once silenced opponents. so we lost 5 v 4 even after the alch left

So I played a game with an Invoker. He picks first, takes solo mid against TA and everything's pretty normal. He gets first-blooded somehow, then dies again at level 3. He complains for a solid five minutes about how level 3 TA with Haste is overpowered. During this time he dies a third time and is muted by everyone. We get completely stomped, of course; TA snowballs pretty well with three early kills and by 10 minutes, TA is 7-0, Invoker is 0-6 or something silly and we've lost tons of towers. Invoker finishes 2-14 and he's raging in all-chat the whole way.
So whatever. That sort of crap happens. I search again and THERE HE IS AGAIN. This time, our first pick is NP and the second is Skywrath, who goes middle. I pick Chen and we get a PA. And then the same dickbag picks Invoker. And demands solo mid. And walks there and doesn't leave. At which point I decided to just eat the abandon.
That's my only gripe about MM. If you mute and report someone in game 1, don't put them in game 2. I have no idea how you'd make that work, but that guy should have been in LPQ after getting muted/reported by four people, and I'm annoyed that he ended up in my game again.

In my experience, unless you are gonna teamfight or push early to take advantage of the fast level 4 March (doesn't happen that often in pubs unless you are in a stack) then the team benefits a lot more from laser/rocket ganks on the side lanes. That's just my experience though.

Just played one of the best games I've ever played. I ganked, I farmed, I managed to shut down their #1 and #2 in the teamfights, I coordinated and so on and so on. It was beautiful, pure Axe manmode. (no blink because I figured with bat/puck and tiny toss we have enough initiation)
after a grueling 60 minutes Tiny has aegis, Weaver was dc'd, we're about to hit their bot rax, they're about to hit our top rax

I wouldn't be this salty about it if the ending of the game wasn't so completely anticlimactic. A gruelling 65 minutes long game, over in seconds because of a dumb split desicion. It's like base racing a Terran in SC2, that shit doesn't work.
