Please, just don't make me call you clueless. you have no idea what you're talking about i'll 2v3 you, same matchup, any time Can someone be bothered to open up this matchup for me? I'd guess being double melee hurts, Jugg+Ogre use up mana fast, and you can't kill NS too easily. Decrep into void into blast to also hurts Jugg quite a bit? Ursa just does nothing with a decrepify on him, I feel. It depends on how you lane. If ogre keeps running lane with jugg, there's a good chance both will get harassed because of pugna's auto attack and blast. But if the ogre supports from the jungle (stay out of sight), it's harder for pugna to harass, and they have to play safe because they don't know when ogre will jump out. Overall, NS and pugna can easily win this game because of the sheer nuke abilities they have. Juggs might have a hard time to farm early game, but that is fine imo. All jugg and ogre needs is level, they can just try to pull creep to tower to get level fast, then they can kill pugna pretty easily. pugna just has to position himself on the far side of the lane from the jungle if they run straight at pugna ns slows and autoattacks jugg, and at the very worst ns can just kill jugg after pugna dies proper warding should prevent ursa from accomplishing much If pugna positions himself on the far side of the jungle, he can't really harass jugg and stop jugg to pull the creepwave to the tower to get fast level. NS is not an effective harasser because if he approaches the creepwave, Jugg will just fake attack to aggro the creep into the towers. Moreover, you said that jugg and ogre should focus on pugna, but that's not always the case. Although NS is tanky, he's slower than jugg and a melee. He can't just attack Jugg when jugg is battlefurying, and the stun+slow makes it kind of impossible to run away from jugg. Overall, I think in this matchup, both sides have a good chance to win the lane, whoever manages to get boot first will have a big advantage. NS+pugna is strong in the beginning, but they essentially only have 2 nukes, the higher level they get, the better advantage jugg+ogre have since they have more nukes and better stats gain. if you pull the wave to the tower then your wave pushes up, it's not like you can just pull the wave back freely he can certainly just autoattack jugg while he spins, pugna + ns does as much damage as jugg spin anyway, and spin does nowhere near enough damage to kill ns ns + pugna have an advantage until the laning phase is over like even once jugg hits 6 he can't even do anything because of decrepify Contrary to some belief, if you pull the creepwave, the wave is not pushed back that easily, it takes some random experience to pull just one or 2 creep and maintain the creepwave (for example, you pull just 2 creep so that they aggro you, then stop and attack the range creep, it's easier to deny that range creep, and the opponent's range creep can push the wave up much better). You have to fool around to learn small trick like that imo. NS is not that tanky at couple first levels tbh. His starting HP is only 50 higher than Jugg. When he attack Jugg, he receives damage from jugg's spin (as long as jugg don't right click on NS, he doesn't aggro creep), ogre (his autoattack is stronger than NS's), aggro creep. And I think you underestimate Jugg's spin or something. NOONE can tank his spin and still can turn around to kill him, it does 400/500/600/700 magic damage in 1 full spin(300/375/450//525 damage to heroes). Stun+slow from ogre is the perfect setup to kill anybody. As I said, overall I still think it comes down to lane control micro. Pugna+NS have big advantage early game, but as the game goes on, Jugg+Ogre have good chances to win the lane too because of their better nukes, longer slow. jugg + ogre are obviously going to get levels on the easy lane, but getting farm is another matter entirely. also on the safe lane if you pull to the range creep your lane pushes because the tower just hits the creeps as long as ns + pugna position properly jugg can't go on them safely. jugg spin really doesn't do that much damage, it's over 5 seconds dude. it does get pretty dangerous at lv6/7, but it's nighttime and lanes are breaking up around then anyway 2 melee heroes laning against 1 range nuker, it doesn't matter if it's jugg+ogre or not, any heroes will have a hard time getting good farm from it. It's not like Jugg+Ogre is the optimal strat to run or something. What we are doing here is to find tactics/tricks to make the lane easier, if there were other choices, why would you lane these 2 melee heroes against something like pugna+1?
Pulling creep to range heroes and stuff, those small things like that, you can't just theorize it, it belongs to microing lane and you have to be put in the situation to know what to do.
Jugg's spin always do a lot of damage. There's just no doubt about it. No matter how good NS want to position himself against spin, if he wants to last hit creep, he has to approach the creepwave, and the creepwave's position is kind of random, and can be manipulated by aggro. Approaching the creepwave means putting himself in danger to get poked and spinned by jugg,.v.v..
I think let's just stop talking about this. This depends too much on lane micromanagement. If this keeps going on, there're gonna be some crazy theorized ideas coming out just for the sake of argument, not discussion.

I really do not understand why people would want to queue in EU when they have their own server with the same queue lengths.
One thing that really gripes me is when all the people on your team leave a game because one or two of the opponents have left and "the game is now safe to leave without penalty".
I have literally lost a game that was a 4v5 that turned into a 3v5 after one of their players ragequit. What happened next? Everyone on my team quit making it a 3v1. I was really pissed off that people could be this stupid.

I've lost more than once because of that ^ It's always annoying as fuck

Why would you care about whether you get a win or not? People are leaving because an uneven game is completely fucking pointless and not fun unless the game is already in the lategame. I'd say it's more "stupid" to want to play garbage dota so your account has +1 number on it.
|
(Generally speaking) the more games you win, the sooner you escape the MMR hell that is populated by Cyrillic script using teammates who have a tendency to lock in Anti Mage after your team already has Drow, Phantom Lancer and Sniper.
Besides, they only need to wait about 3 minutes before the 3v5 becomes a 2v5 and then a 0v5
I have to get out of this MMR by any means necessary, and I'd rather spend 10 extra minutes playing garbage dota so I don't have to spend the next 3 months playing in teams of 5 hard carries
|
played a Drow - this hero is so absurdly overpowered it's a goddamn joke
I still lost though since my team had basically zero teamwork (what is teamfighting) and they were actually pretty damn good players
other than that, just a game where I had more than half the kills of my team (as the support in a team of 4 carries) and the russian clinkz (with 0 kills and 9 deaths) accuses me of feeding
maybe I should delete this game

I never imagined myself saying this, but how hard is to fucking "SS" on chat, instead of spaming russian characters and say "learn russian". Jesus Christ I hate them t.t

I got two stories. One from DotA Allstars a few years ago and another from Dota 2.
Dota Allstars:
This turned me away from the game and ARTS/MOBAs in general until I joined League of Legends using TotalBiscuit's referral link.
I'm in a game playing Dragon Knight, I am five kills up with no deaths and because I like the idea of a +5 Amor and +HPS aura with a 250 AoE active heal, I get Mekansm. The host, a player on my team immediately calls me a feeding faggot, starts ordering me to leave the game like he has some sort of authority. I refuse, telling him to shut the fuck up and stop being a twat.
What does he do? Kicks me, banlists me, spams me with whispers on battle.net bragging about me being on this global banlist and spamming shit like "go fucking kill yourself." Apparently even a 'retard' should know that Buriza-Do Kyanon is the absolute best choice and that Mekansm is a support item. This is something not even explained in the game at all and I get banlisted from a 'wannabe pro' asshole's public game?
The worst part? This was a typical "-apem noobs welcome" game and was advertised as such on the game search.
At that point, I said "FUCK DOTA" and quit it for good. Even to this day that incident still made me feel completely shitty.
Dota 2:
Today I did a game jungling as Lifestealer. Had a guy playing Kunkka who was soloing top lane who basically did some of the worst examples of feeding known to man. For example, despite knowing he was alone on top lane and I was jungling, he spent a few minutes in chat whining for me to help him get a gank. After a while when I finally hit level 5, I agree. He sets up something and I go in, pop Rage and try beating the ever loving shit out of one of them.
The problem? They were more fed than Gabe Newell at an all-you-can-eat, weren't dying at all, had instagibbed Kunkka and were about to rape me. I died shortly after despite getting one of them down to 20% HP.
We almost lose the top tower. In a desperate attempt to try and come back, I buy 4 Observer Wards from the shop, try to lay them all across the jungle and the river. After laying down the third ward, I see one of them go for the gank. I lay down the final ward and leg it, but wait, he's catching up to me because he's got Power Treads and I only got Boots of Speed.... Oh shit.
The Kunkka player walks past the tower, by chance sees me in the process of getting ganked. What does he do? Not intervene. Just runs back to base on near-full health and mana.
I die, Cuntkka calls me a feeding retard and it leads to a massive argument between me and him that lasts throughout the whole game. He acts ultra-elitist like he's "the best" because he got a kill and I didn't. He ended up 1/15/0 and I ended up 0/8/0. And somehow the rest of my team was siding with him and he got them to mass report me after the game for "intentionally feeding."

I won my first game in captain mode today (not arranged team, i was solo and ended up captain) and that was awesome. Things looked bad during the selection though, I had a drunk russian that insisted that i would ban riki, and when I refused wanted me to pick it (which I refused as well as it did not make any sense with what we had). So anyhow, we ended with CM, tide , naga , qop and shadowfriend (I picked this one last and at the last second ^^) vs puck, juggernaut, jakiro and brewmaster. Tidehunter started to do absolutely horribly, but thanks to CM wards on rune spots (happens so rarely at my skill level when i'm mid) i was able to do a couple successful rune ganks, and i had a good edge on my midlane vs puck. The game was kind of even, maybe a bit in their favour though, but then we started to teamfight and things got brutal. This initiation with song=>ravage=>shadowfienddulti+CM ulti+ QoP ulti was just glorious, we completly teamwiped them :D. I ended up being 24/2/12, and that was just awesome, so don't give up on capitain mode!

Boy is that a fantastic experience, I love having the captain of my team choose everything for us (I ended up with Riki, a hero i have 0 desire to play ever) and not listen to the chat at all.
On top of that I am on a losing streak, which is just completely destroying my desire to play at all What skill level/mmr/bracket are you in currently? Playing Captains mode at a lower MMR in the normal bracket is pretty much a waste of time, because 80-90% of people that get captain have literally no idea what they're doing. Playing CM isn't really worth it until you can get into the high bracket where people understand the game; or if you're in a 5 stack with friends.
Yeah, Normal and I see that now, believe me.

After a week i realize that Dota 2 sucks, not for casual players.
It takes ages to learn to deny, last hit, build orders, attack propperly with 4 random players.
Going back to LoL.

I really really hope you all guys whining realize you are bad yourselves. If you were good you would already be in high mmr with at least decent players. =)
