Played a game against a guy with 8 games stacked with 650 games player (they shared a few games), and 8 games guy raped the shit out of our team (about 100 win average among our players). Wasn't very pleasant, I understand 600 game player getting stuck with newbies and expected to carry, but the newbie carried hard. Maybe he just had a good game. In self QQ news, start a game yesterday, random Slardar, some guy named boobs boobs says he will pick support as long as we are good with our pics. He came off kinda dicky to me so I didn't reply. Game starts and I proceed to play like shit. + Show Spoiler +I didn't feed but cant LH for shit, and miss quite a few opportunities to kill opponents. I bought a blink dagger, keep forgetting to use it, and sprint in instead (take extra dmg). Bought a bkb and activate it too late. Every teamfight I just cant think right, get lost and make bad decisions, like ulti Unduying cause I see him first instead of saving that for PA, etc. I was pretty tired and on tilt from own mistakes. Worst one was when Boobs ravaged PA twice and I ultied him but kept running back and forth changing my mind whether to attack or not cause I was at 1/4 hp and was afraid he will kill me and they will be mad at me for that (answer: attack while he was 2x ravaged and after use stun and kill To top it off our SS never joins us, and only 40 mins in we find out that he is from Spain and speaks no English (US East). But I'm almost as useful in teamfights as he is across the map. Now I expect boobs to start shitting all over me because I am fucking up bad. Him and another guy, do say something like "slardar that's why I asked if your good with your picks", or "slardar what was that". I apologize for having a bad game, but then a miracle happens.. Instead of flaming me boobs just goes full Suvorov/Patton on us. Gets the team to play together (though SS keeps ignoring us) and makes good calls on where to attack. I keep fucking up but he keeps telling me where to improve as politely as it can be done (i did deserve some shit for my plays, and the disappointed tone was there but he didn't flame). We even wipe them in few team fights when I dont mess up, but that happened too rarely=/. In the end they have a disconnect and we win but only cause it's 4v5. I commended the guy and hats of to him, because otherwise we woulda lost long before the disconnect, and if I were to follow through with his advice we'd win 5v5, but I was already on tilt and tired so that didn't happen. It was pretty good to play with people that, instead of flaming, try to make the best out of bad situation. The QQ is that it really feels crappy when you play so bad and tilt, even when your teammates are actually helpful. I would not have felt as bad if I was playing terrible but was among a bunch of assholes.
I use a smurf to play with TLers.

I've recently started enjoying playing spectre a lot but people's expectations on a spectre player are too high;
I can't teamfight with you early if you're going to lose it, so don't expect me to join unless you're stomping I just played a game where I would try to assist in teamfights all I could after radiance, interrupting my farm, but we still lost the teamfights. Then the team just ggs out saying I couldnt carry, but they expect me to teamfight with them like 20 minutes in. Its understandable but spectre is one of those heroes that cant do squat without crazy farm, some people just dont realize that

What about those stealth heroes? they are always stealth and they dont die. Stealth heroes seem to be stronger at low levels of play because of the lack of coordination to counter them. I assure you, when a team is properly coordinated against invisible heroes, they can become very useless in a game.
How to properly coordinate against them? - Buy dust, sentry wards. Consider even getting a gem on your tankiest hero. Don't wait for the 30th minute to get them, consider getting them as early as lvl 1. - Constantly check your teammates whether they have dust/sentries. If they don't, ask politely in chat. Also, don't always wait for them; buy and carry some of your own. - If the enemy invisible hero is starting to cause problems, ask your team to stop splitting up so much and stick together more. Make sure you're never alone when the enemy invisible hero is not accounted for on the minimap.
Do remember that these heroes have sacrificed an entire skill slot for their invisibility. For riki it's even his ultimate.

Radiance on spectre is usually not enough to teamfight, it actually delays your teamfighting ability until you get another big item like a diffusal blade or a heart. If the enemy team is filled with midgame heroes that will probably force early teamfights everywhere, radiance becomes a terrible item to rush for. Instead, an inventory of tranquils/phase/treads + Aquila + drums + diffusal blade will make you a VERY strong midgame hero, and you can definitely help your team with those early ults.

There's nothing more satisfying than luring those invis heroes , pretending to not see them and then permastun them to death

i think the biggest difference between radiance spectre and radiance bear is that spectre has the potential to get it much faster? her level 6 ult allows her to partipate in ganks giving u that extra income to make a super early radiance + another item if u are doing well. but if u get that opportunity i guess you've 100% won anyway.

Fuck it i played a CM game as capitain, I was alt tabbed and did not see the notification and wasted 60 seconds of the reserve time. So when i arrive i'm a bit in panic mode, ask for a first pick and someone says "pudge" so I think : "whatever, he must be good with pudge so let's go with it". Then this guy says "im noob i wanted ban pudge"... ok So the pick continues, I don't really have an idea about what to pick at that point and that same guy keep asking "drow drow drow pick drow" despite me saying that drow is not in CM mode ... The worst thing is that even after the picks were done, he did not select a heroe and kep asking "drow pick drow". Then the game starts, i play broodmother hard lane and he ends up being jakiro. Of course, he doesn't buy courrier, and despite me saying 10 times that he should go bottom comes on my lane and auto-attack. He hadn't bought a single item at this point. Seriously, I'm sorry but I just couldn't take it and I just went afk jungling.

I check everyones wins before the game and my 80 wins is somehow by far the highest in my team. Enemy team randoms TA instantly and I pick Viper and call mid counting on at least putting up a fight vs the TA, although Puppey says TA wrecks Viper but might be different on my skill level.
Team proceeds to pick Nature's Prophet, Ursa, Mirana and Zeus. Nature's Prophets goes mid even though I'm already there and won't leave so I go top and Furion goes 0-5 vs the TA in the mid, cool. Okay lets check out top, Ursa insists on solo laning it and won't go to jungle so that we could get some sense to our lanes. So we got no one in jungle and both Furion and Ursa rolling solo lanes.
I TP bot then, already behind in lvls/gold and have to 1vs2 PA + Lion with our Zeus afking at tower and later on DC'ing.
Mirana join the game a few minutes late... Really fucking annoying when people join the game as lvl 1 when everyone else is already around lvl 6 and just proceed to feed, had couple of these games recently. Well thank god I could leave this game.
I can't help but feel that the matchmaking system is absolute shit and rarely provides good games although I'm otherwise totally in love with the game.

Pretty funny when the guy intentionally feeding & ruining the game gets the mythical courier afterwards.
Also with stealth heroes people tend to either vastly over or underrate them. You'll have people that have the invisability = invincibility mentality when they play them, or people that spend all their gold on invisibility counters when they play against them. You also have players that think invisibility heroes are just trash that newbies lose to, and think it's simple to counter them (ie pick slardar).
In reality all the heroes with invis are actually pretty good, especially in pubs.

In my experience how good an Invis Hero is allmost entirely depends on how good the supports on your own and the enemy team are ^^.

am I seriously the only one who is having horrible matchmaking lately? Every game is something like 40-10 score or worse, regardless if I win or lose. Lots of players on one team or both teams have a tiny amount of games played (2-3 wins is not uncommon), and then there's 2-3 people per game with 200-400 games won that have scores that reflect their experience. It's horrible... games never feel fair regardless if I'm on the winning or losing team.
This is a new development for me, because for the last few weeks I've had a lot of great games with a good communication and players of equal level. But now.. meh, fuck this game at the moment -_-

Well matchmaking has become shittier recently, pretty noticeable how most of my recent games are stomps, either way
|
Unbelievable...get last pick in random draft and my team needs disables, badly, so I get Bane. Have a decent start, but the hero quickly falls off after the ganking part of the game ends and their team travels around as 5. Luckily they fed our Lycan like nobody's business in the mid game, getting him off to a ridiculous 18-2 start or something like that. (Un)luckily, he decides he's already gone god mode, starts taunting their team in all chat and diving the fountain while t2(!) towers are still up, engaging their entire team when nobody is close, running back in with no life, trying to solo rosh with no map vision and all mia, etc.
Needless to say, he died one too many times at level 20+ and we were hopeless to do anything because only scrubs save for buyback. Was a completely won game until he decided to try to win it himself.

Yeah, I dunno wtf has happened.
Sucks when you suddenly realise you've got 8 or 10 times more wins than anyone else on your team and you're a support. That goes double when your high-win counterpart on the other team has a carry or semi-carry. :-\
Standard bit of QQ: Russians speaking no English. Please, please go on the russian server...
Single draft. I ask if anyone is going mid. No answer. I pick Viper. Weaver on our team immediately runs to mid. Suicide lane is Magnus and Centaur. I'm stuck in a lane with the other non-English speaking Russian on Prophet.
Happily the opposing team was pretty awful. I think it was SF in mid and he lost the lane hard to Weaver. Prophet in my lane was absolutely useless with controlling the lane, attacking the creep waves constantly. I was so glad when he went off to jungle and left me to farm up solo vs QoP and Necrolyte. Started hitting good levels and solid kills after a little while (Nethertoxin pretty good, just sayin'). Centaur and Magnus did surprisingly well top vs Leshrac and Spectre with Weaver diving in for ganks.
Comfortably won but I couldn't help feeling that if the other team had been in any way capable we'd have been crushed thanks to complete lack of communication ability. It was literally the raw power of our team that won it, no more, no less.

Lion on my team goes mid,,We ask him to give mid to viper "No , you see my ult , It does insta kill..I need more farm"
we explain that he isn't wrong but he needs to support Magnus up top and let viper farm.. "No , I never lose at this skill level"
Then he proceeds to sit at mid for like 2-3 minutes and then finally moves to bot saying"Fuck it I'm leaving" and dies to Death Prophet immediately then Disconnects
Fucker
In another game...I was disruptor and my team was so bad that a death Prophet won 1v4 against us..All the people on his team left after our Dragon kNight abandoned and still he wrecked us.

Best are always things they saw from on some stream, from a far better player trolling. But they probably had it muted or didn't listen, or they would know even Sing said that Radiance "fucking sucks" on Mirana.
I've also begun to tell people what to do if they want me to get support items for them. Got actually good responses about that from players who used their brains. Rules like: Don't 1v5. Don't towerdive past 3 towers. Etc...

Whats with this new thing trash players do where they defend their retarded moves by saying "i never lose with this hero. stfu". Then I go right to their game played list and spot them losing the match before the one they're in now.
Protip: When you have to LIE to defend whatever you are doing, you're probably doing it wrong!

there are some people who die, then proceed to rage and blame it on their lane partner even though i was watching them the entire time and it was 100% their fault. i don't even know how to respond to those type of people...
