Certain hero items are worth more than other hero items (Axe items are among the most worthless, while Pudge stuff sells like hotcakes). While the above ratio is a good guideline, there are always exceptions. One that comes to mind is the sword of Juggernaut's Thousand Faces set is only a common, but is worth 2-3 rares because it is a new set and it looks good on a popular hero. Keys cost $2.49 in dota2 store but in the trading market, they are worth about $1.90. There's a lot more when it concerns specific items like Immortals, and Unusual couriers, but that's the foundations of item value. | ||

If you want it your best bet is to trade for it; dota2prices.com has the value at 1 key for what that's worth. | ||

There isn't really a good database, dota2prices.com has an extensive list, but apparently it's run by sharks that change prices based on what they have/want. Best thing to do is search on dota2lounge and look at what sellers are offering for and what offers they are actually getting. If you see a bunch of Timy skins for 1k not selling over days at a time, chances are that is not the true price. FYI, Tiny goes for about 3rr. But if anyone wants to buy a Tiny for 1 key, then well, I'm available to do that. | ||
