Maybe maxing W before Q wasn't a good idea in lane, only Jungle. I don't know.

It doesn't, but Doom games are dreadful at the moment.
with max W over Q, your Blink Dagger comes a lot later. A lot of timings feel off.

blink isn't a great first item anyway bc of the increased cast time. anyone that would get away if you charged at them with phase boots (ie AM/qop) will be able to escape just the same if they're paying attention.

Some games you can be a Doom one-trick-pony, but honestly you also lose out on a lot of meaningful value by giving up early survivability or having enough mana to cast things other than Doom. You shouldn't just try to blindly rush out a Blink every game.

In all the recent games from that link, Blink's 3rd item after Phase Drum S&Y. And he didn't get Blink at all in some of them.
