Nvidia driver is more CPU efficient than AMD's for Fallout and maybe Witcher, this pic is an example of performance when quite heavily CPU limited: ![]()

Monster build, looks good to me. $600 sounds a lot for a monitor without IPS or AV panel though but I haven't really looked around lately.

I don't see any compatibility issues, but the clearance on the graphics card in that case concerns me. It looks like there's a big bulgey thing where the graphics card would sit that might get in the way. You'll want to make sure that won't be an issue. Power supply is probably double what you need.

Hmm good point, I checked the dimensions: the CM HAF case is described as a full size case, the chart states it has over 320mm of room until it hits the drive bay. The card's dimension is 10.5', which is below 300mm. Allowing for extra space on the left side, it should be able to fit in, but could be a little tight. Do cases go any longer than this though?

Sounds like it should fit though. Sometimes you can angle the gpu in if it's a close call.

After getting a 6600k and OCing it to 4.3, stresstesing showed that it reached a max temp of 84 degrees celsius, using a max voltage of 1.325. Are these values too high? What stress testing? What cooling and room temperature? you can also probably do 4.4 - 4.6ghz on that voltage and almost the same temperatures Temperatures correlate very strongly to power draw and vary a lot with different CPU loads: + Show Spoiler + ![]() Almost all CPU loads are around the cinebench to x264 numbers and nowhere near the top ones

Sure, there are tons of huge cases. Sounds like yours would fit fine, though. The power connection is on the top not the rear, so you don't have to worry about that. The specific thing I was concerned about is that plastic thing that sits behind the HDD bay. You can see it here: YouTube. It's removable, so if your card doesn't fit around it you can just not use it (i.e. it shouldn't be a problem).

Cooling is a CM Hyper TX3 air cooler. It is a mITX case so cables and airflow and not great. Room temp is roughly 19 degrees. I think the voltage might be set to auto? I never overclocked anything before, just changed the ratio to 43 and tried it

I've been following it all as closely as I can but I know I don't know everything so here's what I've been considering: MSI Gaming X 8G EVGA FTW Gigabyte Xtreme What do you guys think?
