None Here is my Build that I plan on buying for Cyber Monday, and I would like to hear your guys thought on it: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Days/saved/2TRP I am not too sure what to do about my hard drive, I have a 320 GB 7200rpm hard drive I use now. Not sure if switching to an SSD would be a smart move, my budget is 600. Keep in mind I would like to stream because I am a grandmaster zerg player and many people keep bothering me about my crappy quality stream so I really would like to improve my quality and stream at atleast medium quality settings. Unfortunately this build is not very good. Both Starcraft II and streaming is CPU intensive so a FX4300 would be a bad purchase. A Core i5 and H81 or B85 board is about the same price as what you have selected (FX4300, Hyper 212, and M5A97) and it'd run circles around it without any effort needed for overclocking. GTX 560 is two generations old and is a very bad purchase at $155. A GTX 650 Ti Boost performs better and can be had for slightly less. Cooler Master Elite 430 is expensive at $50. Fractal Design Core 1000 or NZXT Source 210 would both be better options at around $30-$40. The Corsair CX500 is overpriced at $65. XFX Core Edition 550 is currently on sale for $51 ($26 after mail in rebate) which is much better than the CX500.

If you want to get two weaker cards, get a pair of good 780's. Titan is pretty much worthless now as it's more expensive and significantly worse. No custom PCB's or cooling sold with it, less cores and slower memory speeds than 780ti. It's a niche option if you want 6gb of VRAM instead of 3 (which is already a lot) or double precision compute performance/whatever

I know very little about this process, but I'm reading as much as I can. I've spoken to a few people and looked around for builds. These two seemed relevant for my desires: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2460D http://pcpartpicker.com/p/269D8 I have no attachment to any of the parts. If there is a better deal available do not hesitate to suggest it. Thank you in advance! What is your budget? $1000-$1500 What is your monitor's native resolution? I would like to buy a monitor. (Possibly 2.) What games do you intend to play on this computer? What settings? I play Dota 2, BW, Civilization V, and old Call of Duty games sometimes. I would like to play these games on high settings. I would like computer to be relevant for a few years. What do you intend to use the computer for besides gaming? The main reason for buying this computer is for using Ableton Live so I never have to worry about audio dropouts. In addition I would like to have a large amount of screen real estate to mess around with. I will be using this computer to do homework. (I'm a physics major, and might need to be able to run simulations later on.) I will play games on this computer. (I think having large amounts of storage on a secondary internal drive would be useful. I'm also considering a dedicated sound card. From what I've read music software doesn't gain much from hyper threading CPU. I think the software does well with a large amount of fast memory available.) Do you intend to overclock? That seems like a good plan. I don't see why I wouldn't. Do you intend to do SLI / Crossfire? No, but if it would allow my computer to stay relevant much longer I would be interested. Do you need an operating system? No. Do you need a monitor or any other peripherals and is this part of your budget? This is part of my budget. I need a monitor. If you have any requirements or brand preferences, please specify. no What country will you be buying your parts in? USA If you have any retailer preferences, please specify. no

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/26boZ [i5-4670, mobo, 2x4gb ram for $320 (after taxes - before 10 mir) from newegg] I'm recycling all of my other components and mainly looking to improve my SC2 stream. (The one thing that might still convince me to pay a premium to OC would be if the stock fan should be upgraded at stock/turbo speeds) One advantage to waiting an additional week is that I won't actually be able to un-box and test anything for three weeks (giving me a pretty short RMA/MIR period - the mobo doesn't have the best reviews...).

I don't have the best Haswell CPU sample, yet my single core score on r15 is in the 180's. I just got 180 np on 24/7 stable settings first try with RAM turned down and no tricks, i have 188 saved twice in my scores - i've never seen higher than ~135 on any amd cpu on air. I've seen Haswell in the 200's though

Get a Capstone 450M instead of the CX430: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182261 It's just so much better for not much more. You may want to consider an SSD with the leftover $100 or step up to a R9 280x if you'll be upgrading to 1080p and settings are important to you.

I think it's pretty stupid to buy a CX430M (although I would). Of the modular chains (2x SATA, 1xmolex, 1x6+2pin) you end up using all of the chains for nearly any configuration. You could only really not have to use 1 SATA chain if you don't use a DVD Burner. On a side note, what do you think about some motherboards (EVGA X79 dark for example) using a 6pin GPU connector for PCI power instead of Molex? I think it's pretty awkward right now, as PSU's don't have an odd amount/enough 6+2pin connectors.
