If i try to use Windows Capture with the game in Borderless Window, the stream works, but my fps's are dropping around 15-20, which is unplayable. What should I look fixing ? | ||

Many of my games don't work with game capture (they used to almost all work, but now like three quarters of them don't?) but for the ones that need it, window capture works alright, just not well. I heard you can use something like dxtory for capturing and passing image to OBS, but that's more complicated It's also weirder to look at performance and capture on a laptop because they usually have and use both the iGPU and the dedicated GPU. On a system like mine, the igpu isn't being used and i can disable it without a second thought if there's something fucky with it giving problems with game capture, but you can't do that on a laptop Could someone confirm anyway that Dota 2 works with game capture? I could test myself but i'd have to download it again | ||

For the 1st time when I tried to make my own settings on OBS, without consulting anyone, and the Game Capture worked, I had like 40 FPS which was playable but from time to time there were some very quick freeze, randomly. I can confirm also that Game Capture works on Dota 2, but I have no idea tho why is not working anymore... | ||

NVENC is the encoder that's ran 24/7 if you have Shadowplay turned on in default config (which people tend to do when they install geforce experience) which will impact performance depending on your hardware and can mess with stuff like screen capture perhaps. In this case though i'd guess it's some fuckery with the integrated graphics making it awkward for capture (black screens) on laptop | ||

CPU: i5 4440 3.1Ghz GPU: GTX 760 2GB RAM: 8 GB My upload: http://www.speedtest.net/result/4212087544.png I now stream in 1080p 30fps with bit 3500 (CBR) , but i have so pixelation, also and on my webcam  Also i use x264 veryfast. I streaming chiefly World of Warcraft but and other heavy games...  Thanx in advance! Edit: I now switch my settings to 720p 30fps on 2500 bit on x264 faster (CPU is not loaded) Is it ok? | ||

you could try medium preset for 720p30 but my CPU is about 75% faster than yours for video encoding so i'm not really sure how well it would work. It's no problem for me to run a resolution+fps like that at med preset when playing most of my games, though. WoW leaves a true quad core CPU about half to two thirds idle because most of the load is on one thread. | ||
