The U2412M doesn't have bad input lag at all... at least, I can't tell. I primarily play SC2 on it, although I have played numerous FPS games on it as well. Plays just fine.

A lot of stuff is "just fine" in the tech world. A lot of stuff is also better.

So what comparatively is better but still does all the same things the U2412M does? I decided on a TN primary, but I'm still open to a good 24" IPS secondary.
The path of the forgotten is paved through many lessons learned.

The ultrasharp should be perfectly fine for a secondary IPS monitor. Its one of the higher quality units afaik, and input lag would never matter if you aren't gaming. Although fwiw its probably better than the average IPS panel. Like skyr said the only way to determine whether that bothers you (which is super subjective) is to try it yourself.

The post-quality to post-count ratio of this thread is through the roof. Thought I'd post to show my appreciation and lower the ratio a bit.

The term "better" can be subjective. Not everyone sees and processes information the same, so I believe it really comes down to preference. Of course, this is assuming you are comparing similar products, i.e. two monitors with the same resolution, or two monitors with the same panel type or something.

The U2412M is a great monitor and definitely worth the money. I was merely showing interest in a BenQ monitor, that's all.

U2412M is simply the most rounded 24" display in Canada. If you want something better than you're going to have to make sacrifices in price or another aspect of the display.

Hey guys.
I want to buy the Dell U2312HM. But it doesn't have HDMI. My graphics card, Sapphire HD6770, has 1 x Dual-Link DVI 1 x HDMI and 1 x DisplayPort. The DVI is already being used by my current somewhat older monitor. Will using the DisplayPort be any different than HDMI? Because i'd like to keep using my current monitor as a second monitor. Or is there maybe a better alternative around the same price, can be a little bit more expensive too.
Thanks!

DisplayPort works. I think a passive HDMI (graphics card side) -> DVI (monitor side) cable or adapter should be fine as well, but you're going to have to use the DisplayPort anyway if you for whatever reason want to use a third monitor off of the graphics card later on.

Yeah. Displayport and HDMI are both digital signals so afaik they work exactly the same. The displayport cable can even have hooks to keep it from falling out, although that's not really that important. (At least mine does)

Came across an interesting monitor, the LG 27EA33V at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=24-005-419&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=2#scrollFullInfo

Anything that stands out that I should probably be aware of about it? Price seems great for a 27" ips, so I'm assuming there must be a catch, other than the stand and the max brightness only being 200 cd/m^2, although that won't bother me since my room is not super bright.

I was gonna have this monitor a bit further back than the other 2 anyways cuz of desk orientation, would the dpi at that size really be that bad?

Oh, if it's not going to be your primary then it should be okay if you're fine with the lack of adjustments and one year warranty.

I'm pretty used to lack of adjustments xD. I was planning on making http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236331 my primary.

Any one have experience with Nvidia Surround? Do all 3 monitors have to be the exact same model? I have two Acer 21.5" LCD monitors: one is normal LCD, the other is LED. Need a 3rd to complete!

Just same resolution, refresh, rate and I think digital for 2D surround.

Hey guys. What is your opinion on the Asus MX239H? Would you recommend it? If not, another monitor then?

Hey, guys, I have a following on my mind.
I want to buy 2 x IPS monitors, but Im stuck on two from different manufacturers.

First is LG Electronics Flatron IPS235P
http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/23Zoll--58-42cm--LG-Electronics-Flatron-IPS235P-schwarz-1920x1080-1xHDMI-1-3-1xVGA-1xDVI_785086.html

Second is Dell UltraSharp U2312HM
http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/23Zoll--58-42cm--Dell-UltraSharp-U2312HM-schwarz-1920x1080-1xVGA-1xDVI-1xDP_768321.html

I personally would buy Dell, but...
...Im going to buy a Gigabyte Radeon HD 7950
http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/3072MB-Gigabyte-Radeon-HD-7950-WindForce-3X-Aktiv-PCIe-3-0-x16--Retail-_786855.html

This GFX has DVI, HDMI and 2 mini DisplayPorts.
LG has HDMI and DVI (what is VGA? :D ), is LCD-Monitor and S-IPS Panel.
Dell has 1 DisplayPort instead of HDMI (like WTH Dell?! -.- I need HDMI, not 4 x USB!!!), is LED-Monitor and E-IPS Panel.

It means I have to search for an adapter (and I have noooo idea about active or passive or anything else) from mini DP to DP to use dual monitors.
Or I just buy 2 x LG and plug it in DVI+HDMI.

I need your thoughts and ideas, guys. What should I take?
Dell is praised, but has no HDMI. So I have to do extra work and spend extra € on an adapter.
LG is cheaper, but still an IPS panel and has HDMI and a real PlugNPlay.

Please help.
