blues are so loud that you should not use blues if you're sharing the room with someone else. that's my personal impression of blues. i'm using reds and no one in the room complains to me so i guess the difference is pretty large.

Do black switches become better to type on (less fatigue) after wearing down? Can anyone with experience confirm this?
|
I was under the impression cherry switches don't wear down much, but I'm not an expert.

..Totally gave me the excuse to buy a new mech. keyboard. LOL. Anyways, I just ordered the Rosewill RK-9000 RE. It has Cherry MX reds. I can't wait, haha. I was debating on that or getting something with MX browns. ~_~
I just bought the same keyboard after using the DAS Ultimate with blue switches for almost a year. Going to the Red switches was a big change but it's so much easier on your hands with them having the lowest actuation force. Demanding keypress games like SC2 feel so much easier to play now hand movement wise.

Hi, here you can find a lot of things about keyboard even keycaps. There are a lot of guys who sell keycaps, etc. Also, on e-bay there are more sellers.

Cherry brand switches are guaranteed for 50 million keypresses. I think ur thinking of how black switches are stiff enough they require a getting used to.

What do you guys think of the Zowie Celeritas? is it worth the money?
|
Wow, I've only been using this topre for like 15 minutes and I love it, I also love the sound of it and the build quality is just amazing, it's so solid and feels so well-built, the texture of the keycaps also is awesome and I wouldn't ever want to trade these away, oh and also the feel of the keys is great, it's amazing how soon they actuate so I think I have a long way to go until I am able to type efficiently but even so this feels amazing to type on and it's actually surprisingly loud, way louder than I expected, which is a nice plus in my opinion =)
I also absolutely love the hallow echoing voice of the enter and backspace keys that the other keys don't have and the keys you press with your pinkies are wonderfully light and there's no strain at all, I guess the spacebar is a bit stiffer than I think would be preferred but I guess I just need to get used to it. Also the reason I'm typing so many random things is because this is just so much fun to type on o.o
Wow the enter sound on line change again *-* *drool*

I've been thinking about getting a 10keyless Filco keyboard. Is it worth getting a keyboard or is the board low enough not to require one?

What? You mean a keypad? If you don't use a keypad than why get one?
|
Whoops. I mean wrist rest.
"Is it worth getting a wrist rest..."
|
I think that depends on each individual. The keyboard is about to 1.5 inches above the desk (lowest to highest point).
|
I don't need a wristrest with this topre keyboard and it's one of the tallest keyboards I've ever used so I don't think it's necessary
By the way as this is my christmas present from my father who told me I could choose any keyboard I wanted, and then he was like "But you can't almost see the letters in the keycaps because it's black on black, and there's not even backlightning or wristrest, and it cost so much and there's not even a carrying back or something to swipe the keyboard with!" when he saw the kind of a keyboard I had chosen >_>
And even after I let him see that this keyboard weighs like 5 times as much as his rubberdome keyboard and after I let him try the keys out he still doesn't understand the difference and thinks I should instead have bought a gaming keyboard with backlightning(even though i type over 100wpm eyes closed and also recognize when I made a typo and can backspace them eyes closed) with a led screen o_o Some people just don't get it I guess.
|
I have a different experience with "wrist rests" - I bought myself a Noppoo Choc Mini mechanical and quickly found out that the height makes my wrists bend upward too much and caused discomfort, so now I'm using this cloth wrist/palm-rest my dad gave me. I like it a whole lot. While I think I'd prefer that the keyboard had a detachable palm rest, that's pretty hard to find and many popular and good mechs don't have it.

Is there any real difference between the ducky 1087 and the filco majestouch 2 ? besides 40 dollars?
|
So, i am looking for a mechanical keyboard with blue illumination and I think the QPad MK-80 looks very interesting to me. Does anybody have this keyboard? Is it a good choice? I just want to hear some opinions before spending so much money.
Also, you can choose the Cherry-Switches you want if you order directly from QPad. Which ones should I get? For programming and gaming, but more gaming? I think browns?
|
red or brown imo but no one but you can tell you which switches you want.
|
ok last question, Qpad MK 50 with reds or Zowie Celeritas with browns?
