I have a Logitech G70, I completely broke the Caps lock key. Is there a place where I can purchase an individual key? It seems all the other places I've looked for want me to buy all the keys for 30 dollars or so.

I don't mind helping out, but I have a few more questions.

I noticed the keyboard that he has right now is wireless, would he be fine with a USB-keyboard or does it have to be wireless?

You mention that you want to buy a KB with "clone switches" to his current keyboard, his current keyboard is not a mechanical keyboard, however, so are you looking for a membrane or mechanical keyboard?

I'm not as knowledgeable about mice, but typically the lower end of gaming mice run around $35-45.

It's unfortunately pretty difficult to get a decent mechanical keyboard for under $70. Typically to go under that you're either buying something of questionable quality, or used. Depending on how much of a hurry that you're in, there's a really good guide here: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/wiki/buying_guide It's pretty far down on the page, they have a list of keyboards in the $0-100 range.

I think you'll probably have to stick to just getting a keyboard, or up the budget a bit to fit in a mouse. It will be difficult to fit a mechanical keyboard and gaming mouse into a $70 budget.

Edit: I mananged to find a used Steelseries 6VG2 for 50$~ on Amazon. It's not very flashy (doesn't have any backlighting if that's something you're looking for.) but it's a very solid keyboard with Cherry Black switches. https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0038X3ZVM/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all

I assume you mean the G710+?

Contact Logitech. They will replace them as this was a serious issue for that keyboard. There used to be a massive forum thread about it where it went on for probably 15 pages before they even acknowledged it, but they were kind enough to delete that when they switched over the forums...

Unfortunately Logitech has at least twice denied people an RMA when the person mentioned they took the cap off at one point in time. They did eventually make right, but only after the people posted on forums and created a bit of a problem. So make sure that you are clear that you never had the cap off EVER, not for cleaning, not for anything. It just broke with normal typing... (Which is beyond crazy, no other company that offers a warranty would void you for that.)

aukey has deals all the time (slickdeals.net) for their otemu blue switch on amazon. i had a 6vg2 for about 4 years. a long time, but i had to keep replacing keycaps because they would keep falling off or breaking (which always bugs me about people complaining blacks are too hard to press, i literally broke at least 2 caps just simply typing on it so i must have strong fingers or some shit.)

Thoughts on the Plum84 for BW? The keys are only 35g so im scared it might be too light. I dont really wanna miss press any keys or anything because of how light the keys are, is that an issue?

Probably not what you're looking for unless you have impeccable form. The slightest touch will activate them. I gave 35g Gaterons a genuine shot for maybe 3 months, but never adjusted. Significantly more typos. I was averaging 92-94% accuracy when I'm normally at 98-99%.

I'd say go with something that is at 45-55 if you don't have much experience with with MX brown/reds or clones. A uniform 35g is no joke light, really at the extreme edge of switches and definitely not for everyone.

Yea i really wish they had it in 45g. I really like the layout (close f keys) and the switches look interesting, really wanted to try them out. Wonder how long it'll take before they relase a 45g version..

I'm really happy with my 45g realforce atm, guess i'll just wait and pray that they release a 45g version soon.

If you're just looking for quality without spending a ton of money, the Ducky One is it. It's reasonably easy to buy there and is only 119,000 on the first site I checked. Very good value for the money. It also has a ton of variants so you can find something you really like.

Or get a Leopold. It's a Korean company so they are widely available there with good customer support, and is only slightly more expensive than the Ducky. Pretty much every Korean pro who isn't sponsored by a keyboard company is using a FC700R or FC750R.

CM Storm Quickfire/Rapidfire used to be a very good starter mech board but they're harder to find now. The Leopold FC750R is a very good stock mech board, you're paying a bit more but you're paying for quality. Don't skimp out on mech boards.

Has anyone here heard of the KC60? Apparently it's a GH60 copy, i was thinking about buying 1 from someone (only 40$, it has gateron brown switches and PBT caps) but i'm not sure about the build quality, can't find too much info on it online either.

Also i just bought a Plum 75 nano w/ 45g // PBT caps from alienexpress, cant wait till it gets here, layout looks so good!

What's the easiest, cheapest and most reliable way to get a FC660R in Europe? mechanicalkeyboards.com has outrageous shipping and on top of that it has customs to the EU (Good chance anyway). Any online KR resellers that ship to europe?

You mean a FC660M or FC660C, or is there some sort of special edition out there I don't know about?

There are some stores that have leopold keyboards within EU, and even have some models in ISO formats at this point.

https://www.candykeys.com/leopold-international/
https://mykeyboard.eu/catalogue/category/leopold/leopold_7/

Were the ones I remembered just off the top.

Awaiting my new Plum84 .. Should come next week ^_^

If it's good and I stick with it, does anyone want to buy my Winkeyless B.87 custom korean keyboard?

I have a question. I'm looking into buying a TKL second hand, and am looking at a Filco Majestouch 1, a Ducky (not sure about the model) and a CM Storm at roughly the same price. My intuition would be to buy the Filco but I have no idea. Thoughts?

edit: It's between the following:

- Filco Majestouch Ninja TKL
- CM Storm QuickFire Rapid
- Ducky G2Pro Tenkeyless

Assuming they all work 100% without any issues I'd say get the Ducky.

I love Filcos but they are dated. It's just a good quality keyboard that works, with absolutely nothing else to say about the MJ1. Also if the badge is silver it's only 2KRO, which is definitely not something I think you'd want.

The Ducky, while pretty old itself, it has a removable cable, media keys, some DIP switches for small things, (full NKRO over USB, disable Winkeys, etc.) depending on the specific variant the caps might be very high quality, and optional WASD backlighting.

The QFR is very similar to the Ducky as far as features go, just without the DIP switches and backlighting. It's not a bad choice if you like the looks of it more than the Ducky.

My impression is that the Ninja model wasn't introduced until Majestouch 2 was released, making all the Ninja TKL boards NKR, but maybe I'm wrong. Going to ask the owner about it.

Otherwise, thanks for your input. I'm also quite interested in the Ducky as it looks good. (And looks aren't that important anyway...)

edit: Owner says the sticker has a circle for NKR on the label, whatever that means, and a 2 in the model name. I suppose that means it's a new one?

Sorry lol, feeling kind of dumb right now, somehow I missed Ninja and just read Majestouch... You are correct it's besides caps it's identical to the regular MJ2.

It does change things. For that I think it depends on what you want to do with it. The Filco is the best build quality. The Ducky still has the edge on the features, though it's possible you might not even use them. The removable cord is useful and much safer for travel. It's build quality is honestly not far off the Filco.

There are some more differences. Costar stabilizers on the Filco, Cherry on the Ducky. Also the MJ2 was a go to keyboard for many years in the enthusiast community so there's a ton of aftermarket stuff out there for it that very few other keyboards have. Controllers, plates, cases, etc. The Ducky has none of that.

I was offered to meet and test the Filco IRL and it was delightful. I still haven't tried the others, but I bought the Filco and feel happy about it. As you say, I don't really care about the features of the Ducky so I hope I made a good choice anyways.
