I've used one and I don't think accidental keypresses are really an issue. I have a QFR and they got rid of all the branding on everything awhile ago. The only logo is on the rear side of the keyboard, which you're never going to see. Oh? All I can find are pictures similar to the ones in this link, that thing looks way too cool for my taste. What does yours look like?

Oh, I found your version as Rapid-I, sadly not available at first glance.
This is the only stealth version I can find quickly over here (again yours looks much more awesome but this one has the same pricetag as the Rapid/Rapid-I) - the 120$ pricetag is because of the green switches I assume?
I'll dig some more to see if I can find a vendor that has any of those as Reds (or Blacks) with DE layout, I'm still totally open for more suggestions though. If I find your version of the stealth it might just be an instabuy though. Looks awesome. <3

Yeah green switches are more rare. that one also is a full keyboard and you usually pay around $10-20 more for those.
The quickfire rapid-i is the backlit version, there should be a non-backlit plain old Quickfire Rapid that looks like the one I posted that shouldn't be that expensive. Good luck in your search.

Hi TL,
I am looking for a new mechanical keyboard to be used mostly for work. Some features I am looking for is in the following priority (1=kinda must have, 7=whatever)
1/ LED backlit (I am looking for some RGB LED backlit, more color better. Worst case can be single color, depending on other things) 2/ Good build quality 3/ MX Brown > MX Blue switch 4/ ~170 AUD+/-10 (which converts to about 160USD) 5/ Mac layout (I will be using this on a Macbook, so one with Mac layout would be nice) 6/ Full size keyboard 7/ Would be good if can buy in Australia, else I dont mind ordering online providing shipping cost is not too expensive
Not sure what else I miss but so far those are what I can think of at the moment.
Anyway, I have had recommendation on Ducky Shine 3, so if anyone have experience with that please let me know. And also how about Corsair Vengeance Keyboard? Never really heard of them in mech keyboard before, so not very sure about their product quality, but I am really intrigued by their upcoming K70 RGB keyboard + Show Spoiler +https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-GjMH8kQlc
Thanks for helping guys.

Ducky is the way to go if you want color imo.

I would name my first born son Ducky if they told me to. The build quality is amazing on the Shine 3. Just make sure you get the switches that are for you.

Thank you. I just went ahead and got myself a Ducky Shine 3 DK9008 brown switch. Things are pretty good so far. Thanks again

I'm looking for a new keyboard. I have a Razer Blackwidow but I'm looking for a more silent one. Do you guys have any ideas ? I can put ~150 € on this keyboard.

Yes, it is, but it is not using the "Cherry MX" switch that's used by nearly all the keyboards people talk about in this thread. This particular keyboard is using the "Cherry ML" switches, which should have a feel a bit like a laptop's keys?
The keys will move downwards less than on a normal keyboard.
The keys are also smaller and closer together compared to a normal keyboard. They are less wide (I think something like 80% of the width of normal keys).
So it's as if the keyboard is kind of shrunk in every way you look at it and compare it to a normal keyboard.
Please note I don't mean anything I said as negative. I just tried describing stuff. Some people say they like this keyboard and its switches better than a normal keyboard, and you might be one of those.

Thanks so much. I guess that's why it's called XS. Are Cherry ML outdated or just a different type of switches?

They are just a different type of switch. I don't know why no one uses them to build keyboards. They are perhaps a bit like brown MX switches but with less travel. They could be interesting for a lot of people if they would be used in a keyboard with full-size key-caps instead of those reduced width keys of the Cherry G84 keyboard line.
Cherry produces a whole bunch of strange keyboards using those switches. You linked to the one with a num-pad on the right. There are also models that have a trackball and models that have a trackpad in that area instead of a num-pad. All of the G84 keyboards seem to be for use cases where you have very little space.
There were two normal sized keyboards using the ML switches. There was one built by a computer manufacturer a long time ago when everyone used DOS and there were still weird businesses selling "IBM PC compatible" computers. I was wrong, it was for this business here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tandberg
And there was this one here: https://store.artlebedev.com/electronics/optimus/
That one had a price of more than a thousand dollars, so I'd hope the ML switches themselves aren't bad.
Like I said, I've seen several people say that they like a G84 keyboard better than a keyboard with normal sized keys, think the keys being closer to each other is more comfortable for them etc.

Alright so, I have a couple questions. I own a steelseries 6gv2. Is there a way I can buy a compact/tkl board and together, salvage my cherry mx switches from my 6gv2? My goal is essentially to cut cost from buying a new keyboard and have a tkl keyboard. I don't really know much about the details of keyboards, but in my eyes I just see them as pieces I can put together am I wrong? If this is possible, is it really technical and difficult for a beginner to do ? Answers appreciated, thanks.

Something with cutting and soldering i think if you want to get the actual switches off the board. Probably annoying and difficult if you know what you're doing + have the tools or too expensive if you don't

Btw, what's best place to buy o-rings in the UK? I was thinking of trying some, maybe just on certain keys
also considering buying some different keycaps for heavily used keys (perhaps WASD and my osu! keys) because i see stuff like this around: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-002-OE&groupid=702&catid=2705&subcat=2455

Quick question: does anyone know where to get ducky shine 3? In most of the stores they are just out of stock :S I'm looking for this one DUCKY. I've found a couple on that site, but they'll be in stock 30.9. Anyone knows where can i get them faster or i just have to wait and hope i'll e able to order faster than other people?
Also, what is the difference between mionix and ducky? Read some positive things about mionix, but never used them. They offer really nice costumability so i'm looking also into them.

At least over here that's way cheaper than any regular store. Like 10 € max for 125 of them.

So I e-mailed rosewill about my mechanical keyboard dying and they're crediting me the cost of it on a newegg gift card so i'm looking to buy a new one for work with that, any recommendations for something that's not too loud and good for lots of typing? I had the rosewill one with browns before which was lovely but kinda loud when you bottom out. Trying to keep it <100$ as well.
Scrolling through top rated ones on newegg in my price range in the meantime to see if anything jumps out at me.

Well, you can either not bottom out, or get a keyboard with clears (not for <$100) which are heavier springs than browns. Or you can get a topre which is quiet, but not the best for gaming (also not for <$100).
You may be able to find some PCB mounted MX brown keyboards (like a KBT Race 2, or a Poker) where bottoming out is quieter than on a plate mounted MX brown keyboard - but I don't think anyone makes a PCB mounted MX brown keyboard in full size.
