I'm not too sure if the BW has drivers that come with the keyboard, but knowing Blizzard I'm willing to bet it does. Have you tried looking into your settings there? If not even uninstalling it and trying caps lock then? Yeah, I had the driver for it downloaded, I just never ended up doing anything with the key remapping, so I didn't even think to check. DURRRRR!!!!!! I went to open my driver and it wasn't responding, so I reinstalled and was able to fix it. thx thx. Why the heck did I say Blizzard. I meant Razer. Anyways your welcome.

Make sure everything is completely off, standby doesnt count.
everything is off, waited a few min before turning it on again. The crash forced me to turn off comp with on/off button.

What would necessitate having 16 GB of RAM vs "only" 8 GB of RAM? Is it purely dependent on what the primary purpose of your PC is? Or does "e-peen" the main factor?
|
16gb is good for people running simulations and various editing programs as well.
|
Having 16gb of ram does not equate to e-peening...

Maybe my question was too simple. Should have said 16 GB+ of RAM. Also lending to the fact that unless you had a specific need...

Then having an abundance of unused RAM would be counter-intuitive.

Guys, I have an ASUS EEE PC (netbook)
It comes with default windows 7. But my friends installed linux mint on it because they told me that it was better. But I'm not a programmer and I never even use linux. How can I go about uninstalling this from my netbook? All it's doing right now is slowing my netbook way down.

I'm trying to watch ESWC on Dailymotion but it lags horribly and then completely freezes. I don't have any problem with watching streams on TwitchTV, Own3DTV or GomTV or anywhere else and can usually have several streams going with no lag. Is there any way to improve Dailymotion performance? I already turned it down to the lowest quality (380) and closed every other tab.

Getting frequent BSOD's during Windows startup with the message something like IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL_THAN.
I suspect it's my video card drivers, but how do I know for sure and what steps do I need to take if that is the case?
I have never gotten this BSOD after I arrive at the Windows login screen yet, it only appears during startup.

Hi, any guys here know how to fix a broken backspace key on a laptop? The other keys are working fine. It was working when I went out less than 12 hours ago, I'm not too sure if someone tried cleaning it for me and maybe used a moisture cloth or something.

I have a simple question: does in-game sc2 anti-aliasing do anything noticeable for you guys? i'm turning it on/off can't really tell.
haven't really heard anyone talk about the ingame AA, since it's a fairly new feature and no one cares to review a 2 year old game.

I have another question as well:
What is (ram) Bank interleaving and Channel interleaving?
All of the information I've found on it has been quite old, and I've read a few comments about it only pertaining to ddr2, etc. Does anyone actually know what these are? I'm running 2x2gb Kingston HyperX 1333mhz (not listed on their website anymore so can't tell if they are interleaved memory... or what that would even mean).
Thanks.

I've been having issues with my monitor. I'll be loading into a game of league of legends and tabbed out reading TL. Go to tab back in and my screen goes black and my monitor turns on and off repeatedly. Sometimes you can see the LoL game for a split second then off again. This has happened on a few occasions. I thought it was probably an issue with LoL when I alt-tab back in but the problem just occured on startup of my computer... Turning it off and on manually eventually got a screen that was distorted (I could tell it was the blue login screen with my icon but it was very very distorted/pixellated. Not sure the right way to describe it.) I typed in my password and hit enter. Got distorted background image. 5 seconds later my desktop screen shows up as normal.
Simple question: Where do I start troubleshooting this?

Can someone link to me an example of BW social scene demonstration versus the current state of SC2 social scene, and explain how its better? This is in terms of Bnet interface btw.

This is in terms of Bnet interface btw. Not exactly the right section to post this in, but anyways to better grasp your question are you asking for the differences in terms of social interactions between Brood War and Wings of Liberty's interface? I'm not quite sure what would make you ask such a specific question, unless you were pondering about transitioning from BW to WoL. Anyways, there isn't really a big difference in the manner that you can join channels and message other people. Other than that, there really isn't a significant difference in my opinion. Heart of the Swarm is attempting to reform that with all the new features that are interrelated with the social aspect of the game. Such things as leveling (against friends or competing I suppose), clans (for not only pros, but also groups of friends or schools who have their own teams), and etc.

Does anyone have any kind of idea what the requirements are going to be like for Hitman 5: Absolution? I plan on getting it on release and would like to play on pretty high settings. I'm running an i7 2600k and a 5770 HD. I know my bottleneck is my GPU, but idea if it's going to suffice? I've been considering upgrading recently, but I might hold off longer if possible till prices go down and new cards come out. Money isn't particularly an issue.
I found this link, but I don't know how accurate it is.

pc noob here. do i have to install a new OS if im installing a new cpu and motherboard? can i just install the cpu/motherboard and turn the pc on and im done?
|
A PC does not just consist of a motherboard and CPU. If you mean you are changing your motherboard and CPU for new ones than you will be able to turn it on and load whatever operating system you used previously. Though you may be asked to reactivate it again. If you mean this is an entirely new computer then you need to purchase a lot more components...

Hey Guys,
How do I transfer all files from an old computer to a new computer? I have experience transferring files onto a hard drive then onto another computer but I have never tried to move everything. This computer also happens to be a work computer, so there is thousands of people's information on it including appointment times ect. So I'm a little nervous about it all.
Sorry, forgot to mention it is PC to PC. Desktop to laptop.
Thanks!

Hey guys, I am currently using Cox Communications for my internet. And I've been noticing that my internet becomes unstable/laggy as hell during peak hours. This issue has started occuring since a month ago. It has never happened before then. I call Cox about it and they send me a tech guy over and he says it was my router and modem causing the issue, not them. So I replaced my router with a dual-band router as suggested by the Cox tech guy and also replace my modem with a Docsis 3.0 modem that they recommended. And what do you know, the issue is still happening. Can anyone tell me how to fix or what is causing this dumb issue? thank you!
