2. What's your sensitivity? 800 dpi
3. What's your maximum budget? $100
4. Do you want additional buttons? Nope
5. What games do you play? LoL, CS: GO, SC2
6. Do you mind angle snapping? Yes
7. Other relevant information: Only disliked one thing about my DA and that was the glossy sides, mouse would slip out of my hand due sweat
You use a claw grip on a DA? Do you want a similarly sized mouse or a smaller one?
There are DAs without glossy sides out there by the way.

Yea, got pretty big hands l0l. Don't care about the size really I've had loads of different shapes+sizes and took me about 2-3 days to get used to them.
I'm going to look for those DA's without glossy sides, only one I could find was the 2013 edition but I can't find anything about the sensor they're using

Apparently the 2013 is good, just more dpi. I miss the blue though.
Black edition is the other non-glossy sides one.

on average how long do these gaming mice last? Razer mice tend to die when the warranty becomes void. Mine lasted me 2 and 1 year respectivly. Not really sure about other gaming mices.
my deathadder works 100% . 5th year, although i only use once in a bluemoon when i had some firmware issues on my steelseries sensei...
as much as i love the sensei...i am absolutely despising the glossy material used for the top. any slight heat in your hands turns into sweat fast.. making your hand ...atleast mine..feel all sorts a mixture of sticky/clammy/uncomfortable.
at first touch its fine but after a few hours of gaming i hate it.
THAT...is the one thing my deathadder has over the sensei....the matte material wins...everytime.
note that the sides of the sensei are this same matte material and its GENIUS....
so next time will I consider all the above and have the foresight to get a different mouse?
...HELL NO...im gonna email razer and bitch like a ninny until they make it right!!! C'EST LA VIE

Oh wow I was looking for an old Krait since I like the shape so much. Might have to just wait and get one of those. They're the perfect shape for me and the ideal size (I like small mice).

So now I realize why some people are not too fond of the Zowie MiCo
It has the best shape, the hard clicks grew onto me, it has the perfect dpi for me (1600), and it's one of the lightest mouse I've played with so it's easy to move and lift.
But after a month it's already starting to act up where it will randomly disconnect from my computer. I tried other USB and did other methods to resolve this issue but to no avail. I use my G9X and haven't experienced this issue so my assumption is the mouse itself. I wish they did a bit better with the cord and the built quality itself because people are complaining about the scroll wheel and clicks hitting one another or something like that.
They are replacing my MiCo though

@ phobos ...i know... ...lol damn..
just checked up on the sensei RAW on the steelseries website and saw that the stats list says the sensei pro model has a metal top surface....doesn't feel like metal...whatever though...still crappy for prolonged hours.

Hey guys. I was a long time DA user (bought 2) recently sold it to try a G9x. Hated the fat grip, even the thin grip was bad, they make them without a pad on one side so it grates the mousepad was also impossible to make fast side swipes with my style. So I'm back to my Intellimouse 3.0 which fits my hand perfectly. I'm having trouble keeping it accurate due to needing to increase sense (400DPI FML) to make it usable @ 1680. Upgrading to 1920 soon and will probably be the last straw. Anyone got recommendations for a cheap mouse ($<55) with good side buttons (love the MS3.0's buttons) maybe Steelseries? Only need 1600~ DPI for higher res.

Best mice you can buy Zowie AM, Roccat Savu and Steelseries Sensei ( Raw if you want )and Razer Abyssus. This are best! Deathadder to big (but nice Sensor) Razer Taipan sux (Sensor and Synapse) Logitech g9x sux ( Size with or without shape and driver is very bad ) Steelseries Kana (nice sensor but very bad glides) Have all them here and i prefer Zowie AM!!! rlz

No resellers for Zowie in Australia

Hi, everyone. I'm in the market for a new mouse (my DeathAdder just died after 5 years or so), and I'm looking for input on a replacement. While I did like my DA, I have, for various reasons, stopped buying Razer products, so I'm not really sure where to go from here.
1. What's your grip style? fingertip 2. What's your sensitivity? currently 1800 dpi (I have the old 3G DeathAdder) 3. What's your maximum budget? Whatever it takes to get myself a long-lasting, good mouse. 4. Do you want additional buttons? I use both of the side buttons on my current mouse - while I feel that I would have little to no use for buttons past those, I consider the fourth and fifth buttons crucial. 5. What games do you play? SC2 mainly. 6. Do you mind angle snapping? I prefer it to be toggleable, but if it's always on I will not buy the mouse. 7. Other relevant information: I've been considering the Mionix Naos 5000 and the Corsair M60 currently. I'm wondering whether anyone has recommendations for another mouse or whether there is any preference in the thread for one of these mice over the other.
I'm also relatively happy the the size of my current mouse, if that helps at all.
Thanks in advance, I really appreciate the help.

If you liked the Deathadder in terms of shape/size/feel you should have a look a the Zowie EC1 eVo/ Zowie EC2 eVo. It's basically the same shape with better build quality than Razer.

Did you google the reviews? It's hard to find someone who's tried all the above mice.

I did, and honestly they're all pretty equivalent. 4 to 5 stars/eggs on average and apparently they're all pretty solid. That's the main reason I'm asking here, is because I'm wondering whether anyone has a particular experience that would raise one of these mice above another.

I figured as I updated this about a week ago that I'd post it again. I recently added the Ouroboros, the Taipan, 2013 Krait, Roccat Savu, and the Ninox Aurora to the list.

I am probably getting a G9x along with a 4HD. I hope I like them both.^^
