Logitech G100S or Zowie MiCO. They're both simple and relatively cheap like the Sensei. Both are wired of course. You might have a tough time palming the MiCO though as it's almost exclusively a claw grip mice unless you have tiny hands.

can't remember what was said exactly but it seemed legit, and there was talk before of the limited carbon fiber edition costing a premium
I had really hoped the carbon fiber one was going to be maxed at $80. I mean, other than the coating, it doesn't have any special features. The adjustable palm rest is nice but unless the mouse is shared between 5 guys, I can't see anyone constantly taking a screwdriver to it...
The weight system and the extra buttons are nice but they're nothing new.

Hmm I like the Logitech but not the Zowie perhaps its how it looks LOL. I did some more research and saw the Razor Taipain which looks nice :D, but I am still once again waiting and open to more suggestions, thank you.

The Razer Taipan is nice but it's not worth the $70-80. For a quarter of that price you can get a G100S.

after fighting the whole week with my sensei, i decided i just get a G100S.
The shape of the sensei just doesnt seem to fit me. Sometimes i find a good spot to hold it, but after 1 game the sides are so slippery, that my fingers slip into a differnt position. And the side buttons are always in my way -.-

I'm a complete noob looking for his first mouse. I've just used a crappy logitech mouse that came with a membrane keyboard (I think the whole set was worth $20) with just the wheel and two primary buttons (played too much BW and I'm perfectly happy with my mouse right now).
So here are a few questions: 1) I play a lot of DotA 2 right now. Would it be worth it to upgrade my mouse? 2) Are the secondary side buttons worth it? I have a good item layout already that I use, but do people who also play dota find that the side buttons help? 3) I see on Razer sites (my roommate has an older version of the deathadder which feels really nice) that they require a program to be installed? Blegh do I have to do this?
1. What's your grip style? fingertip 2. What's your sensitivity? medium 3. What's your maximum budget? I'd like to keep it around $50 but lower the better (like I said, I'm used to using the worst mice) 5. What games do you play? Dota 2 and BW 6. Do you mind angle snapping? I guess not?

1) No, what you're using now is pretty much what most pros use - generic 3 button mice. 2) No, you have a left hand for a reason. 3) Some mice are plug-and-play which don't require you to install anything. Some mice like Razer or Logitech or Cyborg need software to adjust their mouse settings or change their programmable buttons but can still work if you don't want to install anything. It's completely pointless to buy those kind of mice if you don't want to install their software though IMO.
I recommend the Zowie MiCO if you want to change mice since it's a 3 button mouse but honestly, it's a waste of money because you already have a perfectly good one currently. There's also the Logitech G100S or Logitech G1 both of which are similar to what you have.
If you want to give a numpad mouse a try, I'd suggest the Razer Naga 2013 or Logitech G600. The Logitech G602 might be good too since it has 6 buttons on the side and while it's wireless-only it has a decent polling rate of 500Hz meaning it's just as responsive as a wired mouse.

my g100s is here!
it tracks perfectly on my QCK pad and the shape is really good for me. Now ill have to test if it gets slippery during a game.
its not slippery despite everything being plastic.

Alright! I've decided I might want to get a new mouse with my new CPU that I'll be getting, and I found a good deal on eBay. However, I'm a noob at eBay so I don't know what to trust exactly. Therefore I ask people more experienced to check the page real quick and tell me if it's a ripoff/scam. Because 1$ shipping and 25$ for the actual product, is a bit suspicious. eBay razer deathadder

Ouchies
and price.. i dunno, who would actually sell a brand new in packaging DA for $25? Why?
|
Yeah, it looks kind of shady. 58 of them have been sold however and the seller seems to have good rating. Should I try and go for it? The waiting time is no problem because I've got a functioning Sensei at the moment, but the fact that it ships directly from Hong Kong kind of worries me that it's a rip off.

1. What's your grip style? Fingertip/Claw
2. What's your sensitivity? 1100 - 1800
3. What's your maximum budget? $100
4. Do you want additional buttons? Don't need them, but having extra buttons doesn't bother me.
5. What games do you play? LoL, SC2
6. Do you mind angle snapping? Rather not have it
7. Other relevant information: I prefer to have my fingertips near the edge of the mouse buttons and close to the mousing surface. I'm currently using a Razer Deathadder, but the mouse shape is the only problem. The front of the mouse is raised to high causing my fingers to be in a resting on a flat level, but I'd rather rather have the front of the mouse have less height so that my fingers are positioned on a more downward slope.
The Zowie FK, which I've also tried, had a much more comfortable shape. The one problem was that the mouse buttons and in particular the right mouse button were to "hard" to click. I prefer the soft, lowforce clicks of the Razer Deathadder and Abyssus.
So I'm looking for something with the size/length of the Deathadder and Zowie FK, with easier to click mouse buttons. Right now I'm thinking about the Steelseries Kana or Sensai Raw.

the sensei is quite big, if you grab it in the front with your fingers, the rear will be pushed into your palm. If your grab it more in the back, the side buttons are in the way -.-

Can't you just swap the Huanos out with Omron switches in the ZK? That would fix the stiffness issue.

Just wondering, how big are your hands? I've used a Sensei before and had no problems gripping it fingertip. Or I might just not be holding mice too far into the front tip.

Hello,
I was wondering why pros still use the g9x? I used to use it but not anymore. How is this different from other mouses? Also doesn't logetech have mouses similar to the g9x? How come they have not upgraded to it?
Thanks

They choose it over more precise sensors, recent models etc because they like the shell or are used to it / dont care

Thanks I'm assuming we're talking about the Korean pros: They use anything they can get for free (what the team provides) or the cheapest option possible. It's not entirely based on the best sensor because the whole StarTale team uses Zowie MiCOs which have pretty flawed sensors (but makes up for its size and switches).

Thanks I imagine they used it because it's claw grip and small. You might check out the CM storm spawn if your a fan of the g9x it's better in every way, still being made, and dirt cheap. I have both mice and they are the same size for the most part but the spawn is shaped better, has a better sensor, has much better feel and is the most comfortable claw grip you can get. I'm not using it now but that's because I wanted a larger mouse so I switched to the Zowie FK. The spawn is defiantly for small hands.
