From my experience with the mouse. I did not like the Lift off distance. It was too high. I had to concentrate lifting it high. Make sure you try it before you buy.

What do you mean by lift off distance? I rarely lift the mouse anyway, unless I have to readjust it. Do you know anything about whether changing the sensitivity inside the razer driver and not the windows sensitivity will affect the mouse precision?

Lift off distance: The amount of distance you need to lift your mouse from the mouse pad in order for it not to track while you move it in the air.

I've asked this question before but no one answered =(
I am looking for a new mouse for the first time in my life. I have used the WMO since I got a computer. I am very heavily into competitive gaming mostly playing sc2/dota 2/ and some CS:GO. I know the WMO is considered 1 of the best mouse before but I think it's time for me to get into new technology, and I would really like side buttons. What mouse would you guys recommend me? I use palm/claw depending on what game I am playing. I want a perfect sensor. I don't want the deathadder because it is razor and it has to much problems with it(double clicking etc etc)
I have come down to the g400 or the zowie EC2 evo/AM
Which one would be better for me and my needs? The g400 seems a little bit weird shaped and heavy? There is not much info on the Zowie ec2 evo and it's tracking capabilities compared to the other mice. I am also looking at the roccat savu. The zowie FK also just released but again there is not much info on it.
Also which one has better clicking feel? I hate the deathadder clicking.
Thanks!!

G400 has problem free sensor and its the most ergonomic shaped one I have ever used but ofc it comes down to preference.

You don't need better technology. The WMO is still good. You said "claw grip". Ever considered CM Storm Xornet/Spawn or Zowie mico? They are small - but good. Zowie is very popular for pro sc2 players. (Logitech G1, Logitech G9x and Zowie Mico are probably the most popular ones)

I wonder if Razer knows that they are charging over $100 for the Deathadder on UK site. Im not sure what to think of this, thought it was like $40 for some reason

The UK is properly messed up because of how strong the pound is. We had a UK bank take ~$70 off of prize money as international transfer fees. Shipping an arcade stick (more prizes) to mainland EU from the UK would've cost 50 pounds. The only thing cheaper when it comes to gaming is the games themselves which are $5~$10 cheaper than mainland EU.

I have a very nice Zowie Ec1 evo white but I wouldnt mind trying another mouse because I havent tried much else besides deathadders
Is there any other nice Mice that do not need USB drivers ? I love that the EC1 has plug and play so when I go to a LAN I dont need to install anything

None of the mouse you said are perfect sensors, =( I think most sc2 pros just use gear that are given to them. I know the WMO is still very good, however I would really prefer side buttons and better clicking feel ^_^. No one here has tried the zowie sc2 evo?

Flawless mice/sensor list: http://www.esreality.com/index.php?a=post&id=2024663
7 buttons : -Cooler Master Storm Spawn (Avago ADNS-3090). (Jittering fixed since firmware 30a ; high LoD fixed by firmwares 31 and 32, but it may have introduced some tracking issues with certain surfaces. Note : CM's tech team seems pretty active.)
Mouses without prediction (or which can be removed) yet to be proven flawless : -Zowie MiCO (PixArt PAN3305DK-H). (Note : quite low perfect control speed limit ? (1.27m/s))
IMO 1.1 and 3.0 are listed as flawless sensors too. (In addition to your WMO of course )
NB: DRG changed from Razer Imperator to Zowie Mico while he was being sponsored by Razer. (Razer did not give him a mico)

what DPI do most pros use who use the mico 400 800 or 1600 ?

so would you say my EC1 evo at 1150 is probably pretty similar ?
if so I will probably just keep it

1150 vs 800 is faster. You do the math. But it is very close of course.

I didnt mean Dpi wise I am fine with the 1150 I just mean he is talking about flawless sensors acceleration etc. just wondering how the ec1 evo sensor is compared to the mico

With Zowie mice you cant really do too much to adjudst the sensitivity apart from choosing the dpi without loosing accurate tracking.
