Oh rly? That disappoints me a bit. Well at least it´s more then most keyboards can do ^_^

Indeed, see the official description

What do you need to reach the function keys in SC2 so fast for? Quicker surrende ^_~

Ctrl+F1 to get my free workers who've been BBQ'ing ;P or just some map location saving

A 15 year old Siemens Nixdorf keyboard with an EsCOM logo on it ... It is one of those square and flat office style ones in light-gayish-brownish color. The main advantage is that it is flat and not so bulky as the usual fancy ones and that the keys have a nice "pressure point".

Raptor-Gaming K1

This is seriously by far the best keyboard I´ve EVER used. The keystroke is just unbelievable awesome. Well IMO that doen´t matter that much for SC. But this one is just great if you work with your keyboard all day and because of the layout, it saves some space on my desk ^_^

I´m using it for ~6 years now and am still blown away by the keystroke. rofl, I already bought another just in case Raptor-Gaming stops producing it one day. I will never ever use another keyboard in my hole life. ...damn, I sound like the sickest fanboy ^_^

Edit: You can press all keys at once if you like to and non keystroke is missed. Most keyboards are limited to 3 or 4 keys simultaneous I think. So this is nice for shooters sometimes where you do something like running+strafing+jumping+weaponswitch at the same time...

I have a K1 in German layout myself and I'm pretty sure they aren't true NKRO but 6-key NKRO+4 modifiers. The problem I've been having while playing SC2 is, the Fn keys are way too far away from the number line and the left Shift key is way too small for me because of this EU layout. Also the position of the left Alt key is a little bit strange: it lies on the left side of the Y/Z key. But once you're getting used to it, it should be an awesome keyboard. Though I'd definitely recommend a keyboard in US ANSI layout (I'm dying for a HUGE left Shift key, yeah!).

Oh rly? That disappoints me a bit. Well at least it´s more then most keyboards can do ^_^

Yeah it is. You need ps2 for more than that

Tempted to look into the new Razer BlackWidow (non-ultimate, waste of money for just backlighting!) or perhaps the SteelSeries 7G?

-edit- just come across the SteelSeries 6G V2, looks good..

Really can't get used to playing RTS on my Arctosa, don't know why, it just feels much more of an FPS keyboard!

I also use the old G15 in blue

I find the only problem was it was 2 wide for my keyboard spot on my desk but a new desk fixed that issue :p

Same here although I don't know bout the keys on the blackwidow, they probably wont feel good if they aren't stiff enough.

Also, the Razer marauder looks pretty decent once the APM TECHNOLOGY is turned off.

I've had the Razor Lycosa keyboard since it came out. I lost the F5 button somewhere and replaced it with my F12 btn

It works quite well because the keys are perfectly sized for my hands(not those short little wimpy laptop-type keys) and they are very responsive and durable. It is also quite comfortable to use for extended periods of time, it comes with one of those ergonomic wrist attachment thingies, but it's actually pretty neat.

I don't have any experience with Razer keyboards, but I suggest checking out Saitek keyboards. Even if you don't buy one, they're nice keyboards and worth checking out. Oh, and it also has windows media player and volume buttons tucked in the corner, I don't know if that's important to you or not, but they are perfect, small, and out of the way.

I have the same keyboard ^^

Those media keys are actually quite useful when watching replays. I also can't stand the low-profile/laptop type keyboards. Would mess up all the time if I tried to use one of those

I'm sorry to say that K1 doesn't support any PS/2 connection

Seal Shield's medical grade keyboard (non flimsy one).
100% waterproof, and dishwasher safe. (Rubber cap included for USB connector.)

The ultimate answer to grimy keyboards.
I was thinking about joining a debate club, but I was talked out of it.

According to the BlackWidow, I think if you have no problem with the positions of the Fn keys and the "noise" that Cherry blue switches make, and you also have enough room for its super length and width, then it could be a good choice

Saitek Eclipse 2. Was thinking about upgrading it but it don't know if it's worth it. Never used a high end keyboard before.

I also have this keyboard...

I didn't want something with over 9000 buttons but wanted something a little sturdier than a $5 dell one. This seemed like a good compromise plus it has pretty blue lights.

I use a Cherry G80-3000, a mechanical board. I got it for release and honestly it feels great. Every key press is precise and satisfying. The only downside is that it is quite loud, so perhaps the 'black' (I believe) switches are a better option, which have the same precise feeling but less sound. I think these are the ones found on the Steelseries 7g, although that was double the price of my keyboard.

I would certainly recommend the investment (£60). I have used Razer keyboards and cheap membrane keyboards and I can't use them anymore after this experience.

I use this one (the Filco not the G15).

So sexy, so smooth, so awesome.

Here's the competing product in the market for what razer is offering. They are identical. So a little preview and another one to consider if you like this design.

I bought a Logitech G15 one and a half years ago for like 80€. One of the bigger wastes of money in my life. My shaman needed more keybinds though, but creativity would have solved more problems than those extra keys. Well, someday it'll break and I get myself a good one.

to sum this discussion up: the keyboard doesnt matter as long as its working.

i personally am using a 5€ one and its perfectly fine for sc2. the mouse is the hardware part that really makes a difference.
