fallore, I'm thinking getting the Das keyboard you listed : http://ncix.com/products/?sku=54108&vpn=DASK3ULTMS1 (8 55800 00117 3)&manufacture=Metadot
but i'm not sure i'll get used to it, i'm hesitating between the labelled key one and the black one. My actual keyboard is a 10$ keyboard and sometimes move on the table when I get crazy in SC so I need a new one, I'll keep my keyboard for life so I guess it would be a long term investment. Just not sure if I can memorize all the key like (' . , * , printscreen, etc)

Ideazon merc stealth.
Got it off a friend, solid keyboard. Probably wouldn't go out and buy something this fancy if I wasn't getting an awesome deal on it. If you play FPS you will love the game pad on the left. The keys are also really close together and have a nice feel to them (awesome for SC :D).

I love the Razer arctosa and actually got it for RTS low-profile keys. Makes mass fast clicking easier.

I've been using a USB Dell keyboard for almost 6 years and I don't feel the need to try any other keyboard. <3 Honestly, any keyboard will do wonders for you as long as you're comfortable with it. Getting a brand new "gaming" keyboard isn't going to instantly make you a better gamer. I use exactly this model, for about the same period of time, since early 2004. I love it quite a lot, and it's worn to all hell due to how much use and abuse it saw. Funniest part is, I didn't notice the USB ports in it until about 4 months ago. It makes setting up at other peoples computers so much easier as I usually have my mouse plugged into it.

Got it for $40 new 2 years ago

Logitech Illuminated.

The oldest version of a G15 modded over the years served me well for the past err 4-5 years now
|
Been using this for almost a year now, no complaints at all.

As an aside to spark discussion and give this thread a little more meat than "I HAVE THIS KEYBOARD GUYS. NEXT THREAD PLZ.", What do you guys think of keyboards with low profiles? I find myself slightly uncomfortable on low profile keyboards, and completely thrown off on EXTRA low profile keyboards, where the keys are barely higher than the frame. the miscellaneous buttons around only matter to me in that I need volume controls, as I've never played a game where macro keys and whatnot would really help me out.

A random 1998 generic keyboard for me... -.-

Logitech Deluxe 250 Pretty good for 10€
But when i will have money i will get a good mechanical keyboard.

I use the Arctosa, got it a few months back since I had a gift certificate to best buy or something, I don't remember for sure. It doesn't give me any problems. I'm sure there are better ones out there, but I think it's comfortable and I like how light it is.

Filco Tactile NKRO 87-key (cherry brown switches)
It rules! I can't go back to keyboards that don't weigh anything
|
Steelseries 7G but it's over priced once you have it it's great but I don't know if I can recommend going and getting one
|
I have a steelseries 7G mechanical keyboard.
I really like the switches on them, it feels way better than most gaming keyboards, that are mostly gimmicky.

It´s probably as far you can get from a low-profile keyboard these days. Also, no extra buttons, no lights in the keys, no nothing.
It's the closes I've come to the classic ergoforce keyboard. Those were just brilliant. Until they started trying to bring the price down...

wireless baby
I can't stand wired mice anymore, so restrictive. Wireless keyboard is more of just a preference thing as I can sit back in bed and still control the PC.
|
Unicomp bought IBM's factories and makes Model M's now. No gimmicks, mechanical switches. It sounds like a typewriter. It also weighs a ton thanks to the steel plate used as a backing for the keys.
|
Wait, why are low profile keys worse for RTS games? I find I can play twofold better with low profile keyboards!

Thats the one on my main gaming computer, and my G15 keyboard got bumped down to the family computer since its old....
Contemplating going back to G15 for SC2. The wave's keys are awesome for typing but not so much for micro D:
